MAC Hey, Sailor! (Summer 2012) Discussion - Page 144

I would try some lip balm prior to application. I flippin love Red Racer and ended up buying a back up of it. I don't find it to be drying on my lips but did however have that problem wearing Sail La Vie. Enjoy your lipstick.

I also prefer HS over HC. If I had to pick one collection, it would be HS, especially as the PLW bronzers are fantastic. I also love the MSF's I got from HC. But, of course, I am elated that I got products from both collections. Ultimately, it's hard to compare these two collections as the products are very different.

I would agree with that, but I haven't finished sampling all my HC products yet, so it isn;t a fair comparison.  But the bronzers are great and I use Crew almost every day.  I am wearing TCAS lippy today too.  I think it is my favorite frost lippy.

So cute! Sail La Vie looks really nice on you!

The only thing I made off with from this collection is Jaunty e/s.

I just wasn't feeling it.

The l/s were nice but nah.

I really enjoyed the previous 2 summer collections.

Hey ladies. I know I'm bringing up an old collection.. but when I stopped by my counter the other day I noticed some Crew highlighting powder left over from this collection in their drawer. Are you guys loving it still? I'm really tempted to scoop one up. I did notice that it's still on Nordie's site though.. so maybe it wasn't THAT popular? TIA!!

I used it again this weekend and yes I do still love it! It's nice, because you can get different colours from it. If you're darker skinned it might not be as great, but for paler girls it's lovely.

Crew is the one thing I wanted but didn't get. It looked like it was beautiful. Might have to pick it up on Nordie's site!

I love it :)

In theory, I wanted to love Crew but unfortunately it's just way too cool toned for my skin. If I was made of money, I'd buy it just to look at it, haha. So pretty...

I really, really like Crew and it is so pretty in the pan, but glad I listened to ravers here and got Nude on Board, it is getting heavy rotation from me.  I never used to wear bronzer, now I can't imagine any summer make up looks without it...

Hmmm, as an NW20, I'm not much of a bronzer gal myself! If my counter still has it, I'll swatch it. Thank you for the recommendation!

If they don't have it, Sun Dipped is really, really nice also.  Only a very subtle difference for me, and I think I am actually wearing that one more this last week...

I am nw15 and I love Sun Dipped. It is so purty!

I LOVE SD too!  And I'm NC30-35.... So it seems like it's rather versatile!  I even backed it up!

I used Star Wonder over Magenta today - GAW-JUS!!!

I skipped this entire collection (just didn't seem to have anything I NEEDED), but I picked up the 167SH brush a week or so ago on a whim and I love it! One of the best brushes I've ever used and my powder has never looked better.

167SH is a lovely brush! I was happy to get one via CP and double happy to find a BU while travelling abroad. I have not yet tried them with blush really, but I have to do that soon.

Yes, it is absolutely stunning for powder. It gives me a better result than a duo-fibre. And I love it for bronzers.

I tried to use it for blush, but it is just too big for my taste.

i've been using it for bronzer and powders too...i love how compact it is without sacrificing the brush head size....

i used it for blush once, but i agree i found it to be a bit too big and round for my face size/shape.

I love my 167SH - I wish I'd bought two! Mine was supposed to be for bronzer but it got used to apply powder once and I never went back. It's my favourite powder blush, but now I need another one for bronzer.

For loose or pressed powder?

My counter still had one left about two weeks ago, so if you're really interested you might want to call around!

I saw the brush still in stock on Nordstrom's website.  Not sure how many they have left, but I ordered a backup for my collection.

Pressed - I'm working on finishing up the last of my blot powder before replacing it with loose. I prefer using loose at home in the morning and using pressed as a touch up during the day.

I can't believe I let it slip out of my hands.  I kept forgetting to go back and buy it from the site...

I believe I have wel over 40 - 50 MAC brushes. This one is among my favorite ones. My 167SH does shed a bit but I still love it. I should have gotten 2 when I still had the discount....
