Yup, it varies hugely. I didn't pick at my favorite store as the swirls were just "meh," but I got lucky out of state. It all depends on what one is looking for. The perfect swirl for me might be the wrong swirl for somebody else.

 

My advice is it pick and pre-order early to avoid disappointment.

My favourite brush to apply MES with is the 235 from Semi Precious, so when I saw it in the CCO today I bought a couple of backups! Yay smiles.gif

 

I think I want:

Star Wonder MSF

Centre of the Universe MSF

Supernova MB

Ring of Saturn MB

Earthly MES

Neonebula MES

Aurora MES

 

That's not too bad right?!?!?

What do u all mean by swirl hunting??? I'm assuming that you mean looking for the colors are more prominent than other colors, as it affects which colors the products are going to be.
I do know I want most of the lipsticks...problem is I really dislike lustres. Does anyone have any tricks to keeping lustres vibrant besides using a lipliner to keep them on??? I Iove the way they go on initially but there is just no staying power. I just bought a few hoping my old opinion of them was wrong, not so much.
What should I expect the texture & finish of the MSFs & MBs are like? I don't have any knowledge of semi-precious but have recently become hooked to highlighters, therefore I really want to grab a few of these.
What are some fair skinned (NC 15-25) ladies leaning (that have experience with mineralized stuff) towards MBs and MSFs???

Hi, you can use water, visine, fix plus or some other type of mixing medium with glycerine in it. I prefer something with glycerine in it to make the colors last longer/stand out more. I am a huge fan of fix plus because I love the smell and I like working with it when I use powder products and eyeshadows. I also make my own mixing medium using just glycerine and water; this recipe I found online.

I use Fix+ with my blushes also.

My friend who works at my Pro store says they've just received the HC displays, but no product as of yet.  She expects it'll come this week after which she'll make sure to my items are pulled.  Can't wait!

Paraphrased it says essentially " I know how much you love mineralize products and how picky you are about them. Will call when stock comes in and you can come in and go through everything until you find the swirls and veining you like and we will put it in back on pre-order for you".  yahoo.gif

The face products look way to glittery for my liking. I'm loving the lippies! I'm not too sure about the mes, got to see more swatches.

Fire Sign & Venus l/s's are gorg!! eyelove.gif I have Ever Hip but still think imma get Cut a Caper. I looks lighter and a tad brighter, not to mention a different finish as well. I dont mind reapplying lustres, thier sheer enough to not have to look in the mirrior everytime I re-apply.

 

I'm loving the cremesheens too! I'm trying to limit myself to one or two though. I'm trying to decide between Celestial Kiss, Astral, and Metoric.

I've been wearing some of my older mineralized eyeshadows the last few days, and it might be worth it for people who like the look of some of these but have had problems with the mes irritating their eyes to try the newer ones... I found old ones like hot contrast irritated my eyes slightly, but the new ones like from naturally and semi-precious not at all....I dont know if it's the size of particles or the ingredients...

It might be the size of particles. I don't think the ingredients have changed that much.

well after seeing some swatches i think that i will skip the mes but get all blushes and msfs! eek! i think the darker blush and msf might work on me with a very light hand. and if all else fails i can use them as an eyeshadow :)

Why did you show me those swatches ;-) I haven't stopped by for a while and now I see all those amazing pictures... Thank goodness I skipped Casual Color and Beth Ditto completely...but I had to get some back ups of the basics instead...new primers, fix + and so on. My list looks something like this: Eyeshadows Bright Moon Earthly Neo Nebula Blush Solar Ray or Ring of Saturn (they look pretty similar to me on the swatches I've seen so far) Supernova MSF Light Year Star Wonder Lipstick Pleasureseeker Venus Cut a Caper Fire Sign Cremesheen Glass Strictly Plutonic/Meteoric Astral/Galaxy Rose We'll see. Usually I cut my list after seeing Christine's swatches and then I end up buying less anyway because reality strikes when I'm swatching myself. I hope this time it will be no different... PS: I don't know why this post is edited so weird...
