MAC Heavenly creature discussion - Page 53

My appointment to go see this collection and preorder is this Friday.  I am going to my local (actually an hour away) pro store. I was going to order it all online, but I am afraid that the swirls that I will get online will be duds.

I can't bring anything home until the pro release date next week.

I agree, they are absolutely nothing alike to me.  Flamingo didn't even show up on my lips and Nicky is so "in yo face"!!!

Well, I didn't claim they were exact dupes or anything. Obviously MAC wouldn't make 2 exact duplicate colored lipsticks and name them 2 different things.

She doesnt like lustres, so that also explains suggesting something that has a different finish.

I was saying that if she liked the general color of Flamingo, but does not like lustres, she *may* like VGN...they both are sorta bright pink with a tiny bit of an orangey twist (to me).

Me too, as much as I think the amount of collections MAC releases is ridiculous, I'm already ready for a new one. Casual Color, Hey Sailor, Etc. were nice but didn't really grab me. The mineralize collection is fantastic every year. I will be at my pro store at noon exactly on the 28th so I can buy as soon as they open the doors :Dmac_atemywallet.gif

I haven't bought ANY MAC since HS so I'm looking forward to going a little crazy with this collection!

Plus I have £30 worth of points to spend on my Debenhams Beauty Card :D

Oh man heart.gif  Those swatches of the mes are showing that delicious shimmer that always gets me with mineralize products.  Reminds me of when I fell for Clarity mes last year.

Water reminds me of a Mermaid!

Thanks for sharing. Water looks pretty, but thankfully I only wear neutral e/s, so no threat for my wallet, LOL. Now I'm really curious to see Invincible Light swatched.

And I'm totally ignoring the Cremesheen Glasses in this collection, I find them quite pricey, I rather add 4 or 5 Euro and buy a Chanel or other High End lipgloss. I've been eyeing one from Hourglass, so I think that will be the next gloss I'll buy. Meteoric looks very nice though.

My list so far (based on Ms. Yuki's swatches.  Thank you, Yuki!)

Bright moon mes

Earthly mes

Neo Nebula mes

Water mes

Universal Appeal (maybe; it looks like it would swatch a lot more purple but we've only got one swatch so far)

Supernova mb

Ring of Saturn mb

Light Year msf

Star Wonder msf

Galaxy Rose csg (maybe not because I could swear I've seen a shade that could dupe this before)

I'm sure my list will get shuffled around a lot if I get real with myself about what I will wear.  But these are so nice just to look at even drools.gif

OK, with all these new fabulous photos of the products, i've narrowed down my shopping list. As before, no lip stuff, just Mineralize. In Italics i'm less sure. No matter what, i have to test. I know i won't buy everything on my list.

I don't even like MES...but Water looks super pretty.

Where can I find the swatches for the mes?

I am just praying that I don't like a lot of the MES when I actually swatch them.  With the MSFs and blushes that I want (plus a couple of lip products), this is going to be a pricey haul without adding any MES.

hmmm.. water looks interesting...

I want all the MES =)

Water still is a maybe on my wishlist. At yuki's swatches it looked too green for my taste, but now in this new photo is more blue...I don't know =/

Hmm, I like this new swatch of Water. This is the first item that has me thinking of going swirl-hunting, but do I need any more blue-green eyeshadows?!

I need more swatches of lip and face ' stuff ^^

You better start now. I know how picky you are with your MES, so go out now and search for the perfect swirl as long as you still have the chance. Luckily, you have enough stores in close proximity. Let us know what you picked.

No pain, no swirl. ROFL

I have to admit that I am not as passionate about HC as I was about SP. I still love SP Goldstone. eyelove.gif

Mac-Guy...do you think all four MSF's are unique?? I'm nc30 and investing in all these...plus two MB's...or all lol

I've preordered all four MSF's and all four MB's, though I'm having second thoughts. :)

I think they are unique design-wise (if you pick swirls) and very pretty to look at in their pans. I will follow my gut feeling when I pick them up. I might end up with none and wait for  regular powder blushes and new pearlmatte powders (which gives my complexion a fantastic glow). If I am in doubt, I usually pass. We will see.

I might skip this collection entirely and just pick up multiples of the Marilyn powder. I have a sinking feeling the MSFs are shimmery like Porcelain Pink, which just sits in my drawer.

I've been thinking this too which really saddens me. A part of me hopes other swatches prove me wrong but my wallet prays it's right.

This isn't really swatched but looks like she's wearing Earthshine msf
