I still have to order some for myself. Keep forgetting.

So I ordered Razzledazzler because of all the beautiful pictures including the beauty above. As I still am frustrated by the lasting time of Lustres I figure I won't wear them if I'm working or I won't be able to reapply easily. I am quite intrigued by RD, it will be here tomorrow I hope it will be here after I go in for another stupid test-argh. Here's hoping! Please send me good lippie vibes!!!
Peachtwist I'm still trying to write you a proper email. Hope your doing well and keeping a smile in your heart!
LOL! Richelle u crazeee! u got your new Ruffians & ur bored already??? U must have MU ADD too, huh??? You crack me up!

I've been super slammed so I promise I will send u an email when things slow up!
Meteoric on lips!
http://puritybeauty.se/?p=9555
She says: it's a soft coral red with some gold shimmer that does not show that much on the lips. Otherwise a typical CSG, lighter than Star Quality.
Looks like Metoric will not be on my list.
Oh, what was I thinking? I don't have a damn list yet, because I don't know about this stuff & the swirl picking talk, which must be some top secret info. because only 2 nice people were willing to tell me & 1 of them was just surmising what it all meant.
Thanks to the person who put the metering swatch link up. Much appreciated!

This might be kind of a weird suggestion... but I used to dust some translucent powder over lipsticks that I was afraid i would smear...it basically made them more of a matte and they stayed on a long time... I just used a crappy throwaway puff like the kind that came in cheap powder compacts, poofed it on once...sorta patted it in so it blended with the lipstick and that set it...
if you like the color but not the weartime...maybe try a lipliner all over first, then the RD, then powder it a bit? (yes, it did dry things out a bit, but i usually did it with something like red lipstick that was a bit too slick and smeary...)

I would have bought Razzledazzler if it would have been available over here. I'll get Cut a Caper instead. Skipped it the first time it was released, because I already had a couple of similar lipsticks. Now I have even more similar ones, but adding one more to the bunch doesn't matter anymore.
I'm also getting a Stereo Rose vibe from Centre of the Universe MSF, like someone mentioned earlier. That's exactly why I'm getting it. I have a Stereo Rose trauma, since I tried so hard to get it when it came out with the In the Groove collection, but I failed. So I'm getting this as a substitute.

Thank you for the swatches!

oh and my friend told me at pro that for pre orders they are changing the policy. Usually they would just set it aside for me and when the release day comes they would either charge my card that I have on file and I can pick it up after or charge me when I go to the store. Now what they are doing is putting the total amount on a gift card and using that gift card when I pick up my items. I don't have the gift card since they keep it but just kinda sucked that I got charged today when I budgeted for next week's check. Luckily I didn't go to crazy and stayed within budget but still...
This change in preorder policy may change my plans this week. I was going to preorder for this collection on Friday, but I may decide to delay that.
ETA: I just checked with my local pro store. Their preorder charge policy has not changed. They will not charge my card until the actual day of release.

I think I'm happy its not as bright as Star Quality....I don't really wear that one much because its a bit TOO much for me....I usually go for lighter colors on the lips than that so Meteoric is much more up my alley.

My local freestanding store is a real pain with B2M as well. I need to bring a printout of a MAC chat regarding B2M policies in order for them to actually honor the policy. Otherwise they always try to find reasons not to honor it.

My favorite MAC MUA/counter manager sent the sweetest email. Only my fellow Specktrettes can appreciate this. Paraphrased it says essentially " I know how much you love mineralize products and how picky you are about them. Will call when stock comes in and you can come in and go through everything until you find the swirls and veining you like and we will put it in back on pre-order for you".

She knows me so well. LOL
mac_aiken,
That is really cool about your fav MAC person.
I think that u were the one who said Nordstrom's was having the HS launch a day early. if you hear something like this again for this launch (or any others) will u please post it. It would be greatly appreciated I missed the Nordy's HS Wed. Launch because I had to have a procedure that day & wasn't well enough to get to Nordstroms.
This talk about looking & picking out certain swirls makes me nervous because on day 2 of the HS launch they were sold out of EVERYTHING. Luckily, my girl held my stuff, but that was out of luck. This time I want to see the differences & figure out what this mysterious swirl picking thing is.
Many thanks to you in advance mac_aiken!

its basically picking the ones with the colors that you want. for example during fall color we all went crazy trying to find lightscapades with blue veining since that makes that msf especial instead of getting ones that were just white. with mes go with ones that have the colors in a nice order where you can pick them separately with your brush instead of ones where all colors are really mixed and hard to pick, creating a muddy color.
hope that helps.
Ya' know Liesierre, I think Metoric might look good over Ruffian Nude! It really came to life when you put the gloss over it (drawing a blank on the gloss name).
I want a nude, but they just don't work on me. So I am trying to find a bold nude...does that make sense? I'm just used to wearing bold lips that when I try a nude it doesn't work for me. I'm hoping the RD will be a little brighter so I can wear it as a nice light color. We'll see.

hope that helps.
Thank g-d for Kimbos! Seriously! Thank you so much for explaining this to me!
I truly appreciate your taking the time to help me understand what all the swirl talk was about! You rock!
BTW I saw the picture of you wearing RR, it looks so good on you! Your beautiful, so it would be hard for something to look bad on u. Did u get ur Madonna tickets???

Jazzed, Ever Hip, Flamingo, Razzledazzler

The first pic makes me still want Flamingo... *pouts*
LOL, PrettyPackages, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I SAID! GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE

Don't give up Genn, there is a red lippie out there for you! There is one for everyone. You just got to try them on & see what ur gut tells u or ur heart.. Did u end up buying Ruffian Red or any of them? I can't remember. What red lippies have you tried thus far?

Jackie doesn't have Cut A Caper here but comparing it does look similar.
Reel Sexy, Jazzed, Razzledazzler, Flamingo, Ever Hip.

It really might. I think theres kinda endless possibilities when you're layering... thats why i figured I'd just get it...its basically a blank slate color...if I look too dead, add something with a little tint of pink or peach or something and it warms everything up.
