No secret. We've been talking about the swirls for weeks. One issue with many MAC Mineralize shadows is how unevenly the colors are distributed from one package of the product to another. So the idea has been put out that one can look through the boxes to find a balance of colors in the swirls that suits you.

However, with the HC collection, it looks like the colors are a little more evenly distributed from one to another. There are still differences, so if you are buying in a shop, you may still want to look through the boxes for the balance of colors you like.

 Yes thanks to MAC's policy of releasing at least one collection per month might totally have MU ADD! I can't help it. Which is also why I can't seem to sit long enough to email and to do homework but I can surely post 50-11 million posts a day lol.

ive only bought red racer and ruffian red. I like red racer but it sooo bright. I'm really not use to that. I finally learned to pat it on lightly so im comfortable with it. I haven't got my ruffian order yet. I oredered the red and gold.

wow, new swatches. thank you purplerinne for swatches and liesierre for upload.

I pull earthshne out after seeing swatches from yuki, then put it back after seeing the pic where it is used as eye liner, then pull it out again, it looks dark.....for me.

Will be getting all 4 blushes, they look great under light, couple of mes as well.

I go to the store in downtown LA.  I called right after reading your post and specifically asked about needing to buy a giftcard, etc.  They had never heard of doing that.

My regular store had a particularly bad-swirls batch. I couldn't even make out the names of some of the products as there were almost no swirls, but just a muddy mess.

Interestingly enough, where I eventually pre-ordered, they had much better swirls (but it is about 2,000 miles from my regular store).

If you swatch in person, you will be able to figure out what swirls you like best. For example, for the MB's, I picked the ones with thicker colored swirls and thinner gold/bronze swirls to avoid glitter bombs. Swirl hunting can be fun as you can really pick a "custom" product if that makes sense.

That's what they told me in the pro store in cologne too! And when i went there a second time i had a pot and an empty pro pan and they wouldn't take it! I was like WTF you told me i could back to mac an empty pan and i even take a pot with it and you're not ok with it?!  She said she wasn't ok because it was a pro pan and it didn't originally fit in the pot, but still i should have been able to back to mac just the pan according to their story earlier...

The last time I was there was in February when Iris Apfel came out, and the MUA there was such a sweetheart. It might be that this particular store had bad experiences with people trying to B2M with fake pans.

Thanks for putting up the pictures and thank you purplerinne for the swatches! I'm not sure about Earthshine anymore, it does look really dark. I do want the other three MSFs and from the MBs only Supernova. I think i will have to swatch the mes for myself to see which i like best, but for now it's Sky, Water, Bright Moon, Magnetic Attraction and Neo Nebula.

The lighting was horrible since it wasn't in the special back room I always go to...the one blush that an instant dupe came to mind was Solar Ray. It reminded me of Spaced Out from Neo Sci Fi! I would've gotten it if I even use my Spaced Out that much haha
Supernova is very pigmented and I just had to have it.
The MSF's are also pigmented and can be used as blushes. I only got Star Wonder since I have a lot of highlighters and I didn't know what to think of the brown one Earthshine.
The MES were hit or miss. When I searched them I made sure to get all colors from the swirl and some were buttery smooth and others were glittery. Since some had smaller swirls than the others, some came out more duo chrome which I wish was caught on my iPhone camera.
I didn't end up with any since I never reach for them.
The cremesheens were all really pretty but I only picked up Galaxy Rose and Astral. Maybe I'll pick up the rest later....I love cremesheens though so I'm biased haha

Yep, they're circle lenses. Very popular and trendy across Asia esp in Japan, Korea, and China. And for that reason, to make your eyes look bigger and more doll-like. I've seen a lot of girls wear those, and they look extremely unnatural and creepy. Yikes!

She picked a great Supernova. It looks gorgeous!

Those are gorgeous swatches! Cut A Caper is definitely on my list, even if I don't get any other lipsticks. I think I want Supernova too, and maybe Star Wonder. Supernova and Cut a Caper are the only ones I'm definitely getting now. I'm glad I'm doing a smaller haul this time-the products I do get will be that much more special.

I'm glad Sky is one of your faves. It was the mes i was most interested in from the beginning, but it isn't talked about much.
