Star Wonder and Light Year are both so pretty! Actually, all of the MSFs were, I might have to go back for either CotU or Earthshine-- this collection is a real stunner. I really like the purple "swirl" in my Star Wonder (kinda reminds me of a wave, or a spooky haunted house tree coiled into itself), and the fact that most of the shimmery bronzed part is around the outside so I can easily control how much of it I use heart.gif Venus is also super pretty (and they let me B2M for it)! It's close to my natural lip color, but with a really pretty shimmer to it, love!

Shame - RoS is just freaking beautiful. I won't buy it though. I won't.

I can't justify getting it because although it is gorgeous, and I freaking love the name, and the swatches are beautiful, I know it looks too much like Buddy Up, which I love, but never wear :(

Thanks, this actually killed my lemming which I don't care what way it went, I just needed to make a decision for Pete's sake

I think Star Wonder is the more unique but both are gorgeous.  SW could be a blush or highlighter, but LY really more of just a highlighter or all over glow.  But, I would decide based on if I thought I would get more wear out of a cooler face product SW or a warmer one LY.  (I usually go for the cool tones, but you know what you love best)  HTH

We will be wanting pix, and we don't mind if they are cell phone snaps?

Whoa, it is almost a full time job just keeping up with this thread...

So I went to a MAC Pro store to do B2M for lipsticks from this collection. The MUAs told me I couldn't get them. I picked out two perm lipsticks. Then I went to the Nordstrom MAC counter and they said they could give me HC lipsticks. I'm kind of mad! Luckily, I got the second-to-last Cut a Caper. Woo.

ARRGH! I did a pre-sale in my local shop. So watching everyone's swirls and swatches from their on-line purchases has been killin' me, but i knew i'd have mine on the 5th... And you guys and guyettes are such awful enablers i even added a few things to my bag:

Earthshine MSF (ADDED)
Solar Ray Blush (ADDED)
Stratus Blush
Earthly E/S
Magnetic Attraction E/S
Neo Nebula E/S
Bright Moon E/S

However, my 91-year old Mom is having some new health issues. She has fairly severe Alzheimer's, and now it appears she has some other problems, but the family won't know exactly what until after the 18th when she's due for some tests. I can't be here then, as the music and dance performance group i'm in is preparing for a concert on the 21st playing music to accompany an aerial silk dancer and some Tesla coils (check out films on-line). So i drove down here on Tuesday for a week long visit.

That means i can't pick up my bag of HC goodies until next Friday, a week from tomorrow.

But today i have to run some errands for her caretaker, so i'm heading to the MAC store in the area for a little R&R and to see if they still have:

Light Year MSF - Peachy pink with gold shimmer
Sky E/S - Green gold, turquoise and cobalt melange

Keep enjoying your hauls and posting those bee-you-tee-ful swatches!

You crack me up Spanky! I was the same way....when I first got to the MAC counter my hands were actually shaking (combo of too much coffee and excitement)! The lady must of thought I was on drugs, lol. icon_eek.gif

Now all i keep doing is walking in to the other room where my vanity is to check my swirls! Then a few more minutes pass, and I am compelled to check them again!eyelove.gif

Hello Ladies,

So I have also been lurking around this site for a very long time now taking advise from so many of you which I definitely appreciate but never posted anything, I have been a MAC addict for the past 7 years or so although I don't wear it as much as I should. I'm not an expert at putting it on but I just love the colors and how great they look, just like this collection I am in love with all of it but since I am waiting for other collections I decided to only purchase what worked well with my complexion and I liked the most so here is my haul.

This collection is stunning!!  This is all I got for now, but I'd love to pick up Light Year, Galaxy Rose and Meteoric as well.  I didn't pay much attention to the blushes and the MES, though Earthly and Bright Moon were tempting.

Star Wonder doesn't remind me of any other MSF.  It has more purple and peach compared to Petticoat.  It seems closest to my BB Rose Shimmerbrick, but it also has gold.  I picked one with very little gold.  The first one the SA handed me had the outer third all gold, with pinks just in the middle.  There seems to be a lot of variability.

Fire Sign is very close to VG Cyndi, but brighter.  It doesn't swatch nearly as dark as it appears in the tube.  Venus swatches a bit like Lustering on my hand, but lighter. By the colour of it in the tube, I don't have anything comparable.  I tried to take swatch pics, but they never turn out well with my camera :(

Astral is unlike any other CSG or lipglass I've seen.  It's a saturated bright watermelon-pinky-red.

The best part it, I B2M'd for the two lipsticks, plus I had a $10 coupon and a $23 gift card, so my haul cost me less than $20 :-D

Yikes!  Loaded question, depending on your skin tone, Star Wonder is more unique, but if you have light skin, then you'd get more use from Light Year.  This is what I'm finding with my own products, I'm actually using the Star Wonder more as an eye shadow, but can use it very light handed as a blush.  I can use Light Year as a shadow, highlight, face powder, or even a bit of contour.  I'm NC 20, if that helps.

Any pale ladies loving RoS?  I just cannot see that looking good on my pastey porcelain skin...

I have ring of saturn and wore it yesterday and today. I wear it lightly but I think its so pretty eyelove.gif

My black box arrived today!  mac_boxday.gif

But now I had to order Cusp of Dawn and Pleasureseeker too.  heart.gif

That's me!!! Hehe. Yes, this collection is pretty amazing for me to be posting again. ;)

I hope everyone is enjoying their goodies! I'm wearing Earthshine today, using an extremely light hand (I just needed to tap the brush a few times on the product to pick up the right amount), and it's pretty.

Lol, I find it funny and interesting how the Heavenly Creature collection has inspired so many new people to join Spektra, or for older members to make posts who haven't done so in a while. That gravitational pull is pretty powerful!

MAC Heavenly Creature Haul.

I thought I was going to love Ring of Saturn, but the swatch wasn't that pretty on me, so I decided against it.

Here are the items I purchased.

MSF Earthshine, MSF Center of the Universe, MB Supernova & MB Stratus.

I might go back and get two Mineralize Eye Shadows! hehe

I believe I am finally done with this collection. My total now is 4 MSF's, 4 MB's, 5 ME's, 4 lipsticks and 3 cremesheens. Smh I knew damage would be done, but not like this!!

Everything is gorgeous! Congratulations on your nice haul. You must be very excited. :)

I passed on Earthshine, but after looking at yours, I think I want one. My husband's going to freak when I come home with another bag of makeup. :)
