Your Magnetic Attraction is perfect! I ordered one from online since I had a giftcard to nordstrom, but none closer than a half hour away. I'm hoping it turns out as well as yours

Thanks! I really love it, I brought that one online, I was hoping for one with lots of yellow...but the swatch is nice...it has a gorgeous pink/burnt orange sheenIMG_3621[1].JPG

NW10-15! You should definitely try it out if you can get to a store :)

Ok Gracie, I think you're convincing me to try out Stratus eyelove.gif

Does anybody know how Stratus compares to Early Morning blush from Naturally? That's the only reservation I have about Stratus because EM was far too dark for me, even with a light hand. I'm thinking the redness of EM was a factor, though.

Do you have any swatches on you? That was one that I was on the fence on, I was worried it would be too red on me

Early Morning is a lot more like Ring of Saturn than Stratus.  Stratus is very pigmented.  I only looked at it briefly but didn't see any red undertones to it.

I want to try the Instant Chic and Light Year combo (I don't have Center of the Universe). It sounds lovely. Thank you! heart2.gif

From bottom left to right: Earthly, Sky, Water, Light Year, Star Wonder, Center of the Universe, Ring of Saturn and Supernova.

In the middle Cut a Caper, Meteoric and Astral.

I must say that I saw no real bad swirls. They were all pretty and balanced I guess, but I chose those that appealed to me the most.

Pure perfection! eyelove.gif Thank you so much for sharing, MACerette!

WELCOME SPRING!!!!

And you are so sweet for asking about my baby!!!  I was cracking up because I think I only ever mentioned that I was pregnant once on the Tres Cheek thread, so I can't believe you remember!!!  I had a boy who is now 3 months old exactly, and he is an awesome and intense little dude, but somehow I still manage to put makeup on everyday, Halleluja for that!  I am DEDICATED.  And that boy needs his mama looking pretty, right?  Gotta paint the outer shell even if the insides are in shambles, LOL.

I am glad you finally joined, this is a WONDERFUL place full of loving enablers!

I really love all the lovely swirls out here and was very happy to be assisted by Pinkdollface in swirl hunting this morning.

Pinkdoll face, it was very nice meeting you this morning: you are awesome yourself! I really loved swirl hunting together. We were lucky that we were so early since our Counter only got two earthshines and sky's. I love my heavenly "treasures". I got Earthshine, Starwonder, Lightyear, Ring of Saturn, Aurora (I was going back and forth on this one, but the MUA made me decide to get this as quick as I could! She adores the pink in Aurora and so do I!), Sky (the last one ;-)) and Cut a caper.

My 4 year old daughter adored Sky since blue is one of her favorite colours.

Pinkdollface, did you notice that they didn't have any Solar Ray MB? Now I can't stop thinking about it.  Maybe it's because it is not available, that I want it so bad? 001_unsure.gif

Anyway, I can still order in online, if I really want to.

Could anyone tell me if Lightyear and Solar Ray are very similar?

Ahoythere: you don't know me at all, but I am so very curious about your baby? Did you get a boy or a girl?

I am really glad I finally registerd myself. You are such a big enablers! Without you I wouldn't own half of the make up that I do. pompom.gif

I was one of the people that mentioned using Earthshine as an eyeshadow.  Other people that were ending up with ones that were not suiting them for use on their face were using them as eyeshadows and happy with the results.  I thought that was a genius idea!  I got a huge burgundy swirl one from my online order and wanted to go back for one with less that would suit me better.  But I was happy to know I could keep the first one to use an eyeshadow palette per say.  That way I didn't feel bad about returning it or it being unused.  It's always great to have options with makeup!  Like the Powder to the People compact from Beth Ditto... no one could figure that one out until they realized it could be used on face AND eyes!  So that made it more versatile for people.

Now, I can totally understand skipping Earthshine if it didn't suit you for the face... but for those that ended up with one... using it as an eyeshadow is a great option!  And $29 dollars for 3 gorgeous eyeshadow colors is very reasonable in my opinion.

Finally got to see this collection yesterday. I was surprised at how pretty Venus l/s and Star Wonder are. Might have to go back for those. Fire Sign was nice, but I felt like it wasn't unique enough among my reds- I have a lot of reds.

I JUST bought Stratus today & it is beautiful! I am a pale NW15 with pink undertones. No it will not be too dark for you. It is not like EM - Stratus is a beautiful pinked plum. I used the 187 & it was fine. I didn't care for EM either.

If you are talking about Ring of Saturn - I JUST bought it today too & it is not too red at all. Because it has the pink swirls with it - it makes it the perfect kinda pale muted strawberry

I'll try to post swatch pics on my skin.

EDIT - Oopsie - I see where you meant MA instead.

I also bought the last Astral thud.gif eyelove.gif Holy cow is that color ever gorgeous gorgeous on.

Awesome!!! Everything looks great on you. I really wasn't sure that I would like Stratus, but the pinky plum is just beautiful. I am so glad you love RD.

OK... UGH!  I did a really pretty FOTD using some of these products.  BUT, I can't seem to get them to photograph the way they appear IRL.  So, this is the best I could capture.  I really wanted to convey how gorgeous these MSF's are!  I used Earthshine as a contour with a fan brush and LY as a highlight/blush and it was just SO glowy and pretty.  Made my face look very vibrant and not too shiny or shimmery!

UA on my lid blended in the crease with Texture.  Mineral Mode inner tearduct highlight.  VENUS (OH, how I LOVE you!) on my lips.

Here's my attempt to show how it looks...  It's SO bright and sunny here it's really washing everything out.  The eyes are SO much more bold and stand out IRL.  Oh well...  sigh.gif

Hmmm you make me want to go back to the Counter and check Water. Has anyone compared JF and Water? Have fun tonight! You sure will look lovely!

I've got Jade's Fortune and Unsurpassable. Water is kind of a combo of the best of both of them. I made sure to pick a Water without a lot of the dark blue, which is the swirl that will make it look very similar to Jade's Fortune and/or Unsurpassable. If you look for one with lots of the light green in it, it will look closer to Unsurpassable, but MUCH MUCH more pigmented, brighter, shimmer-ier and so much easier to apply with a good color payoff. On me it's like a pastel green Shimmermint, without all the frostiness and glitter. It's the color of bright pastel green easter eggs! love.gif

It's honestly sort of made my Unsurpassable irrelevant, but my Jade's Fortune still can stand on its own, since I had one with lots of dark blue and yellow in it, which mostly applies like a light olive green on me.

Stratus is warmer than Earthshine and more pigmented, but definitely a softer color than Early Morning, without all the burnt red. It's nice and blendable, though I don't think it's quite as blendable as Early Morning. You're one of the gals who rocks Earthshine, right? I think you could for sure do Stratus too!

'Not to mention, I've got a sneaking suspicion that Earthshine is going to be very collectible and sought after in years to come. It's gorgeous, and I know there are going to be tons of people who will run out of their supply down the road and will be eager to swap or buy gently used ones to replenish!! I also think Earthshine is not going to be one of those MSFs that gets lots of repromotes, due to that burgundy colored swirl - that's a pigment color where the raw ingredients are above average in costliness.

Basically, if ya got it, flaunt itsweet.png

Pixie- Venus is gorgeous on you! I love Venus too, like you two - I'd say it's better than Gem of Roses, and we all know how wonderful that one is.

Maybe MAC will make it a tradition to do an updated lustre along these lines for every summer Mineralize collection! Effortless chic!

I finally feel well enough to play with my products.  I'm staying in tonight but figured I'd try a few things.  Just tried on Fire Sign lipstick with Meteoric CSG on top, Ring of Saturn blush with Earthshine on top as a highlighter. heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif  It looks like the perfect sunkissed look. Now what eyes to go with it?  I'm thinking the cheeks and lips are strong so go with a neutral eye, either Earthly or Aurora.  Hmmm!  So far so good!

I finally received all of my lovelies:

Star Wonder, Earthshine, Light Year, Water, Sky, Birght Moon, Universal Appeal and Earthly.  I am so very happy with the swirls.  I received Earthshine, Water, Bright Moon, Universal Appeal and Earthly from my store, prepaid, they picked the swirls.  I think they did a fabulous job. All of the pics were taken outside in the sun, without flash.
