I traveled to Vegas recently and I wrapped my powder products in bubble wrap. Made like a little envelope-like pouch for them (in case security made me open them), but I hade no problems. After wrapping, just placed them in a large cosmetic bag in my carry-on.

lol I just came on to post for those interested, Nordstrom.com seems to now have all four MB available now. So for those who missed out on Supernova cause it sold out in a day, move quickly!

If you are lucky, you can find the 189, 131, and 174 at CCO's. Love these three for MSF's.

Well I broke down and bought Venus today at my local counter. When I swatched it I was like wow. Plus, they still had everything left. I might be hitting them up friday when I get paid lol. Also, my Supernova arrived today. Yay!!!

I haven't finished many LE products either... The only thing I've broken is an MSF Natural too. I wonder if they're just a little more delicate than the norm?

 

I definitely have backed up lip products - mostly glosses, which I go through the fastest, but also some extra perfect lipsticks like Go For It, Runaway Red and Restrict. There are some things I wanted to back up and didn't, like Gem of Roses and One of a Kind, but that's been OK, since the formulas keep getting better and then the next year you get something even nicer and up to date, like Gem of Roses >>> Venus, or Playtime >>>> Pink Popcorn, or Hibiscus >>>> Sail La Vie. Even the really unique ones you think are too crazy to ever make a return, like Candy Yum Yum (which I BU'ed) or Toxic Tale (which I didn't and was sad about), either have come back or have spawned a trend that ended up with multiple versions of the same idea. I LOVE Toxic Tale and have used half the tube, but now I have Party Parrot, which has such a better texture, and Watch Me Simmer, Scarlet Ibis, SLV, etc. - like a waterfall of fantastic colors that are all super cute! Toxic Tale has plenty of competition now, for my lovely lips. 

 

I've also BU'ed eye liners, unusual colored mascara, and occasional offbeat things you just know will never see the light of day again, like the Gareth Pugh lashes (YES! I've worn them out on the town!!) or a couple of my favorite Big Bounce shadows. When it comes to powder products, though, I honestly don't go through them fast enough for a BU, or they're Mineralize products, where the formula keeps getting better and better every darn year. I adore all my Semi-Precious MSFs, but now this year, I've got HC MSFs which are even nicer - the texture may be similar, but so far, they seem longer lasting on my skin than the SP ones. By the time I get to the bottom of any of them, there will be something better. Those Extra Dimension SFs were spectacular and there's plenty of room for improvement on that formula, for example - lots of future possibilities. 

 

The only powder product I've BU'ed is Elude, but that was a combo of it being a very unusual color that wasn't designed for all skin tones, plus I really did wear it every day like a regular face powder and was getting close to hitting pan on it. I still think that there will eventually be a fashion trend back to a theatrically pale face and something like Elude will be offered again, but it probably won't be Elude - just maybe something similar. This is why I do think it's a good thing to BU Earthshine if it's the perfect daily MSF for you, because that's another one like Elude that was never meant for everyone, has expensive pigments in it and won't be repromoted so fast (although maybe something similar might be next summer).

 

I used to hit pan on eye shadows and blushes, but that was in the ancient past, when I wasn't such a makeup fiend and had so many zillions of products! Oh the "good old days", lol. pretty.gif

Hey guys, so after grabbing all my goodies for this collection featured on my blog post here, I wore today:

 

Universal Appeal Eyeshadow all over the lid with Espresso in the crease

 

Stratus Blush and Earthshine Skinfinish as my highlight.

 

Rebel lipstick with Narcissus Cremesheen lipgloss (Daphne Guinness collection for MAC)

 

For reference I wear NC42 foundation!

 

I like Universal Appeal as it leans more brown than purple but reflects a nice purple in the light, Stratus blush is a really beautiful colour however I found it really accentuates pores. Earthshine skinfinish is seriously beautiful. I was going to totally pass on this collection, but then I started reading all these lovely posts and seeing all the lovely swirls and I GOT SUCKED IN!

I agree, it is addicting. To get me started, I ordered 3 of the MSFs - LY, SW and CotU. I was not sure about ES and thought I'd check it out in store, which I did, after placing the online order. While it looks lovely in the pan, not so on my face. Can be easily overdone and I am afraid I don't want to look like I slapped some shiny mud on my face - totally my lack of talent of course, the MSF is beautiful. But can I justify a purchase I won't use at all, just so I can keep looking at it?? I am seriously considering it! girlhaha.gif

About the pics, I thought newbies couldn't post pics?!!! Someone a couple of posts up was having trouble? 

Can't wait for my goodies...the order I placed on Friday was dispatched just today.oh.gif

Dang it, liba! I thought I was doing pretty good with absolutely no thoughts of backing up any of the MSFs... until I read your post. Because it seems to be so unique, I may get a BU. I do like the Earthshine I have now, but I also wanted one with more burgundy swirls. These are also my first MSFs, so I don't have a lot of them. I've been debating whether or not to get Universal Appeal, Invincible Light and Aurora. I may end up just getting two of the three, and get an Earthshine BU instead.

I remember being double minded about it! But eventually went back because I really wanted a lipgloss to wear over rebel l/s! Glad I did, it hardly gets used but when I wear it, it really does attract attention due to the purple in it! Maybe try CCO? I have no idea where else you could find it?! th_confused_new.gif

I finally got to see this collection in person today...and I'm still "Meh" about it.  I'm glad I ordered the volcanic ash exfoliator.  It's nice.  I ended up getting the Galaxy Rose gloss, but that's it.  The blushes were all too warm or too dark for me.  And as much as I love MESes, these just didn't do anything for me.
