So, is everyone loving the VAE? I talked to my fave MUA and she's setting aside a small sample for me. I really wanted to buy it while it was still in stock, but my skin is pretty sensitive and I need to give it a test run first. Hopefully, I'll love it and it'll still be in stock!

I really don't understand why they would make skincare LE...it's so hard to find great skincare products.

It is strange that they told Temptalia that it wasn't perm? Perhaps there's some big staff confusion going on.

I'm thinking they might have told temptalia on purpose. Maybe they were afraid they would sell less if they told everybody it would be perm?

I also got a sample of the VAE. I haven't tried it yet and I don't think I will buy it, but I wanted to know why others like it.

I asked the MUA about it being limited as well and she heard the same story someone else told on here before. It could be that the volcanic ash is only available in limited amounts and so they can only produce so many untill it's gone. Then they have to wait until the vulcano is active again to produce more VAE.

I wonder if there are production issues and it'll eventually be put back on the website? SO WEIRD!

I'm not completely certain, but I think MAC has one inventory for phone orders and a different one for online orders. I once tried to place an order for some items that were in stock on the Canadian website. I called to make a phone order for those items, but I couldn't get them because they were no longer in stock for phone orders.

I plan to do the same thing. Get a sample to try it out to see what the fuss is about, but I have no intention to buy it. I forgot to get a sample the last time I was at MAC. Hope I don't forget again.

A lot of people are saying this. That's why I had to check it out. When I swatched it, it was love. eyelove.gif I knew this would've been bad skipper's remorse so I'm glad I caved.

I didn't even bother with VAE this time. It's too harsh for my liking.

I've left mechanical exfoliators far behind too. I would have been interested in the mask, though. Is it just me or have facial masks been out of style lately? People don't have the time to sit around and luxuriate with one?

Of course, I discovered it *after* I finished taking all of the pictures.

After swatching everything, I'm not sure how I feel about Sky. It doesn't have the same sheen as the others when swatched on my arm. I'm also not sure it's a color I would reach for often, so I would probably want it in a formula that's easier for me to use like a Veluxe Pearl. I look like a little girl who found her mother's makeup after I applied Sky to my eyes. It's all over the place. I think I'd prefer to have Universal Appeal instead of Sky.

Richelle, what do you think of Light Year? I skipped it because I only got the gold sheen to appear on me. Am I missing anything special?

I kinda like it due to the gold sheen but I don't think I would recommend it to someone in our skin tone range. Unless that's what they are looking for.

My 2nd order finally came! So glad I listened to so many of you about getting Meteoric. I caved and got Light Year and Ring of Saturn too!

MAC likes to capitalize on LE product craze as much as possible.  By re-releasing Lightscapade and making everyone "think" it's only LE, then everyone goes crazy and buys backups, and buys multiples to try and get decent veining...  THEN they show it as sold out on the website so people go crazy again buying up stock in the stores.  THEN they remove it from the site for awhile yet keep supplying the stores so people think they've stumbled upon a great find when they see it still at the store and buy more.  THEN, after the hype starts to die down again, they quietly put it back on the website as a perm item.  That's probably also why no one seems to have a consistent answer when you ask within the ranks of MAC.  They probably are letting the confusion persist on purpose.  Genius Trickery!

I like masks! I just haven't found one that I LOVE yet. My BF works on Sundays, so it's usually my day to lounge around and pamper myself, hehe.

Lol, your lips are fine. And I thought the same thing when I took pictures of myself swatching different lipsticks. It's like I knew I had full lips, but I didn't realize they were *that* big.

Have you tried the Queen Helene Mint Julep mask? It's just a drugstore mask but it's my fave. :)

Thanks, Richelle. Yeah, I'm not sure I'd want to get it only for the gold sheen. I'm also wondering what you think of Light Year, Crystal?

NO WAY!!  Your lips are awesome!  I do have to note that for some reason Cremesheen glosses make MY lips look MUCH fuller than they are!  And I'm not complaining!  I could use some assistance in that dept!  So you may be noticing that affect too!

You know, I've heard a lot of good things about this mask but haven't checked it out. Maybe I'll pick it up this week! I hope it works b/c I sure LOVE drugstore prices haha.

I swear I cannot express how much I love these products. I finally switched from being obsessed with starwonder to light year. I had just been using the light peachy part of light year as a highlight, but today I decided to really use it as a full on blush and concentrated my brush on the rose veining and gold swirl... it was as if NARS deep throat and Luster had a baby.  I have been searching up and down for a blush that has a similar golden sheen to Luster in ANY other color for about two years(I am all about the sheen, shimmer, and sparkle) and this has that same effect. love.gif

Heres some Stratus pictures for fellow pale ladies. I know a lot of people were wondering how this looks on paler skin. So I thought my arm was nc-15, but I guess it's already lost the little tan I was able to pick up and its back to being nc-10.

Heavy Swatches: L to R: Swirl color (idk how to describe it), mixed color, dark purpley color.

FLASH                                                                                NATURAL LIGHT

Blended out on my arm with a blush brush (Hakuhodo 210). You can see it just adds a lovely hint of plummy color. It's very wearable!

I don't know what you're looking for in a mask, but personally it helps with oil control like crazy. I notice that for the next 24 hours, my t-zone hardly develops oil compared to other days, which is a huge concern of mine. Normally I wake up an oil slick (embarrassing to admit) but if I had worn it the evening before I don't wake up to that at all. Plus it's really refreshing thanks to the mint. I try to use it at least once a week!
