Ahoy There: On my lips Pleasure seeker is a soft (not bright) peachy colour: not coral but peach. I love it with Celestial Kiss on top, but also on its own. I prefer it over Cut a Caper.

Today I went to the Counter againg for the fourth time (blush-anim-cl.gif) to compare my Jade's Fortune with Water.

In the pan they are almost similar, except for the swirl thing, but swatched they look quite different. JF is darker and more of a blue colour, whereas Water is lighter and swatches more green. They will look great together. So... I've added water to my collection and couldn't resist Bright Moon any longer, so that one was also going home with me as well.

I really like mine although is shattered in transit.  It is a gorgeous fleshy pink with subtle shimmer.  I can see using this all the time.  A sort of pinker version of Moleskin but with shimmer for me, but I love browns.  I am weird that way.

martiangurl,

I see your mes shattered in transit.

What a bummer!

Are you going to send it back?

Since it was a CP, and I did not order directly, I don't think I can.  But, I will try and get a BU.  Not sure if it will re-press.

Was trying to stop myself from going back to the MAC store, but i think i might give in this weekend sigh.gif

I really want to get Galaxy Rose, and Earthshine (the only msf i didn't originally get) is still haunting me lol.

I'm only NC15, but since i've been reading that many pale girls definitely rock this, i might give it a try :)

Today I wore Earthly on my lid with UD Buck and Naked in the crease and Virgin as an inner corner highlight . I'm loving it! And I've been wearing Launch Away! with Light Year a lot lately and it gives me a beautiful peachy glow eyelove.gif

Liz, I am a NW20 (in the summer) and I like Earthshine so much. Only used it for contouring until now, but it's the perfect contour colour for me. If you have the money, go and get it if you still can!

b.t.w. although I am an NW my skintone isn't cool. I am a Spring type, so I do have yellow undertones.

Thanks! Magnetic Attraction and Neo Nebula are my two favorites from the MES I got. I also really like Bright Moon and Earthly to my surprise. I wasn't sure those eye shadow colors would appeal to me, but they do. I'm not sure what to do about Sky. I wish it would look brighter like other swatches I've seen in this thread. Maybe it's because mine doesn't have enough of the green gold color.

I'm still debating Universal Appeal, Aurora and Invincible Light. I'm making a final decision this weekend because I want closure with this collection!

Yeah i'm really tempted to try it, and i do have the 184 fan brush so maybe i can make it work ..

It's just such an unique msf IMO, and i'm afraid regretting it later on if i don't buy it :)

Will definitely pick it up if my store still has it this weekend amuse.gif

Cartoon Chic: my Sky also doesn't have much of the green colour, which I regret. I love the special golden sheen I saw in the online swatches, but mine is just a mat blue when applied. Nice, but not special.

Liz, I've used the 138 and it was perfect! So don't be scared of Earthshine. If you use a light hand which you can with the 184 it isn't too dark! After reading all the comments about Earthshine being so dark, I was prepared for the worst and it alsmost looked "light" to me. girlhaha.gif

Cartoon Chic, my Sky doesn't have much of the green colour as well, which I regret. The golden greenish glow looked to lovely in the online swatches of Sky, buth mine is kind of a mat blue which makes it more common.

Katelyn, LA and LY sound like a lovely combination: definitely going to try it.

It indeed scared me a little yes, lol .. tong.gif Question tho .. Did you pick an Earthshine with very little burgundy veining? Or does yours have a fair amount of it? TIA :)

I've been wanting to take a pic of all my swirls, but my Magnetic Attraction I ordered from Nordstrom still isn't here. Shipping takes SO long to get the west coast from the online site.  Grr.   If it's not here by tomorrow, im just going to go picture crazy with the rest of my little planetary collection.

Wow, that's crazy. I live in So Cal and never have a problem getting my orders in a timely manner. Maybe I luck out when I order and my stuff is sent from a closer warehouse.

lucky! I'm in norcal. I've ordered beauty products from Nordstroms dozens of times, and they're always so slow. But I can't complain I guess, free shipping AND i can use ebates.

A ruminative sort of question, but does anyone actually think anything from this collection will ever be repromoted?  I'm asking because I saw in some responses about backups, better to be safe than sorry because who knows when MAC will repromote an item. But the theme for this collection is so specific, and the appearance of the powder products so distinctively like planets, I can't imagine how they would come up with a way to work a product, say lightyear, into another collection, unless they repeated the planetary theme (which would actually be awesome. I'd love more swirled products in different colors). Just my ponderings, sometimes I just can't turn my brain off and I end up over thinking, even about things like makeup sigh.gif.

I've worn Light Year every day since I got it. Can't help myself. I'm loving it with Deep Throat (can't believe how well the NARS blushes wear, BTW).

I suppose I should make an attempt to use Star Wonder, but I just keep reaching for LY. pretty.gif

Oh noooooooo... I have been trying SO HARD to resist LY's intoxicating swirls, but knowing that you love it (and are similar in skin/under tone to me) is making it really difficult. MUST BE STRONG.

I'm going to try those together since I love them on their own anyway. Star Wonder is so pretty! But the Earthshine I got has a decent amount of burgundy so I have to play around with that one.

One of us has to be strong - this collection was supposed to be a skip for me!

If I can wear it though (with middle-aged skin and enlarged pores), I have to think that most could. It does slightly emphasize my pores, but I'm getting used to it. I apply eye makeup in one of those swing off the wall magnified mirrors, so I don't know that my pores and fine lines are as apparent to others as they are to me. I've decided that I like the glow enough to live with it. I just wear it as highlighter and not blush, but I LOVE it.

But SB was the bomb.

I'm tickled they bought back the mes.

That was an interesting move.

Now if they will only bring back the greasepaint stick - I'll bite!

I totally missed out on Style Black.  You don't know how many times, I've racked my brain trying to figure out how.  I remember reading the threads about it for months before release but somehow I didn't get anything.  The only thing I can figure is that I must have gotten so overwhelmed with work that I missed it somehow.  I was so thrilled that they repromoted some of the products.  It's so hard to hear about products all the time that you missed out on.

At one point I must have B2M 3 or 4 WB's at one time.

That is my sister's fav. msf and she always gives me her empties.

I gave her a Light Over Dark mb about a year & half ago and she has almost finished using it.

I told her I wanted the empty!

I've totally ignored my Warm Blend.  You guys are making me want to dig it out.

I wouldn't count on it but who knows.  I've been surprised that they have been repromoting MSFs lately.  But many of them years after release.  But maybe they will come out with a similar mineralized product.  One of the Naturally MES was very simiar to Faux Gold from Semi Precious.  The same with many MES from this collection.  Also, some of the MB from this collection are not the same but reminiscent of the Too Fabulous blush.  So I guess I'm saying yes and no. 001_unsure.gif  wondering.gif  wacko.gif

Earthshine was just too dark on me. I suppose I could have learned to use it (with great care and skill), but why bother when I have a bunch of more naturally flattering coral/bronzy colours that I can just add LY to? *Shrugs*

I didn't love CoTU either and I expected to. Way too much gold; I don't mind sheen but I just don't like when I see gold in it. I got rid of Orgasm for that reason.

That is exactly my issue with the Sky I have! All I get is a dull, matte blue color. Very disappointing. But I'm not going to stay disappointed, that's for sure. I'm going to return it for something else I want if no one wants to buy/swap the one I have. I can use that 20 bucks on something else!

I also can't imagine a repromote, unless it's the lip products. If they do another planetary collection expect it to be years from now. :/

Yeah Earthshine is just way too frightening lol. It's so pigmented and sooo brown. :<

If you didn't like CotU for that reason, how did you feel about Solar Ray? I guess my problem with CotU is that it's very orange and I don't think I could make that work.

I have one Warm Blend and I am using it sparingly, for sure...

I didn't like any of the blushes; they were all too glittery for me. I swatched them onto my arm but that was enough. I don't mind orange; I love Modern Mandarin and I've worn Fresh Honey. I didn't find CotU orange - more copper/gold. Those are colours I love, but not in a metallic way on my cheeks.

When I bought my Star Wonder, I also asked for a sample of the VAE. So far I like it, but not sure if I want to spend $30 on it. I've used it twice and have noticed a softer feel to my skin, but does anyone know if it will continue to soften my face more over time? Or will I continue to have the same results? I hope my question makes sense.

i still havent used mine - they are soo pretty i just have them in my collection to look at - pathetic i know, lol

same here. i haven't purchased all of them though, just gilt by association and young punk.  i'd like to eventually get the other two... i totally missed all of the shadows in that collection, which was really all i was interested in, along with the greasepaint stick.  at the time though, i was more interested in dsquared2 which came out at the same time, and i also didn't really just how quickly one had to arrive at mac on launch day! when i got there the day after, all the shadows and most of the lip products were gone!

in terms of the names or the colours i think they could repromote these since they don't always use colours whose names fit within a collection (e.g. cut a caper doesn't really fit in terms of name), but if the process to make them is overly complex/unique, maybe they wouldn't do it for a single item in a collection....
