So I'm trying to decide what else I will BU and tried on Light Year and Star Wonder as a blush. Should not have done that! Perfect combo!

They may have the same name but you get two different products.

EXACTLY! But what it DOES mean is that you have a valid excuse to by like 3 of each product since they are all so different!

I am still peeved that the MA yesterday tried to tell me that each shadow, regardless of swirl, is pretty much the same color. I was like "C'mon lady, where is your basic color theory? CLEARLY that is not the case! Look at this Earthly in my hand....You are telling me this is going to be the same color eyeshadow as the one with 10% of the dark brown, double the beige, and 4x as much gold? SRSLY?".

At the very least they are missing out on an opportunity to sell double the products!

But the theme for this collection is so specific, and the appearance of the powder products so distinctively like planets, I can't imagine how they would come up with a way to work a product, say lightyear, into another collection, unless they repeated the planetary theme (which would actually be awesome. I'd love more swirled products in different colors). Just my ponderings, sometimes I just can't turn my brain off and I end up over thinking, even about things like makeup sigh.gif.

well, I give up trying to predict when they will repromote something (other than St. Germain which has a cycle of about every 6 months, like a comet returning from orbit--okay a really fast comet, okay?) and showstopper and carbon coming out at least once a year in a palette, but I would not think just because no planetary theme it won't come out again.  I have seen stuff repromoted that the theme had nothing to do with the name of the product, it just matched the color theme or probably just they knew it would sell like bananas.  But, it is less likely to get repromoted than anything else because there are so many products that they can't redo all the popular ones.  So if you really love it, I say BU.  On the other hand, they do a mineralize collection every year and honestly, are there themes that spring to mind other than minerals (gems) or planets that describe these color patterns?  I can't think of any more obvious and they have already recycled the planet theme at least once.  (Neo Sci Fi anyone?)

I love my Aurora so much I went and got a new one for my shattered one.  Love it!

It was helpful to see that my UA swirl went all the way through to the base on my last one that arrived broken... So at least it was somewhat useful info out of the mess.

They really should consider bubble wrap.  They are quite prone to shatter.  And yeah, that is jacked up--so glad you got a replacement but what if there weren't any left?  (Like my beautiful BU of Amazonian Princess?)

I was bad and went to the MAC store to get an Aurora to replace my shattered one, and I also ended up with Invisible Light and Earthy.  That means I got all of them but the blue toned ones.  (although Liba is making the green one hard to resist).

I also did it! But I didn't like the picked colours at all.

I didn't buy Solar Ray because it's closer to Light Year with more of a glittery sheen (that's the impression I got anyway, it is definitely a light peach shade, as is Light Year). I didn't compare Center of the Universe, but on page 133 of this thread, I did swatch Ring of Saturn with Orgasm and some of my other peachy/orange blushes!

Yes, I did. And I realized how bad my English really is, because I don't understand what this means lol.gif:

Garnet, flicking red and gold, is your eminence. You're a perfect mix of dedication and dalliance, sobriety and sophistication. Serious as all get-out, you will get up to no good, enjoying the "gathering ye rosebuds" with your nose to the grindstone. Whose life is better?

LOL yours is a bit more difficult to understand than mine! The important part that basically sums up everything is the "You're a perfect mix of dedication and dalliance, sobriety and sophistication".

I got Solar Ray, Ring of Saturn and Earthly. Funny seeing as how I skipped all of the blush.

Everything in this collection has been restocked on the US MAC site! Jump on it if you've missed out!

I was just going to type that out!!!

Just saw that as well :)

I snagged another backup of Venus cheerleader.gif

The 184 is def perm at PRO. I saw a bunch of them at London PRO. I wanted to get another, bigger fan brush, and ended up with the Laura Mercier duo fibre fan brush. It is a bit denser => stiffer than 184.

The swirls are still calling me... Argh! Maybe I'd like to be swirl-surprised! 2-3 MSFs, some MES... (I've gone through my Mac so that's no help.) I might like to get another Pleasureseeker, too. Mine is from Neo Sci Fi. I was wearing it today, always liked it!

OK, I can live with that I think. girlhaha.gif The grindstone thing threw me off... My nose? On a stone? th_confused_new.gif LOL!!

You're lucky you're getting restocks. I think pretty much everything but the Cremesheen Glasses is sold out here.

Really!

I think that we never have restocks here in Germany ssad.gif

Order the F15 yesterday -- since I'm in Canada it can take up to 10 days to get it but I'll let you know how it works out.

Surprisingly almost everything is still available here (at least online). Only Light Year, Star Wonder and Supernova are sold out.

Good for me, because I'm still thinking about buying Fire Sign/Pleasureseeker and a BU of Earthly.

Not so.

You got what you needed or wanted.

I'm sure there will be another collection when you go all out.

Thanks, I'd love to get any feedback I can re: the F15. Ideally, I'd LOVE a 131, but it just may not be in the cards right now. It'll appear when it appears, haha.

Ring of Saturn seems closest to Deep Throat but DT is more pink. I wouldn't say they're close enough to be dupes! I would say Fleet Fast looks more like Deep Throat than RoS looking like Deep Throat.

Thank you! This was honestly very useful.

The link is what I was referring to. Mousygiggles said that it helped her with the product choices, mine only had the three I listed. Obviously I got way more than that!!!

OK,

Now I need help.  AS I rooted through my blushes this morning I realized I don't have a pink mb at all.

How do you all like Supernova? (especially ladies of color)

Also, is there a pink mb in the perm. line?

Thanks bunches.

Yes your horoscope thingy is a good thing, a lot of people strive for those qualities.

That's lame! I see that MAC needs a better policy on that. Are you able to get them elsewhere, well other than Ebay?
