Hopefully the difference can be seen with the difference in lighting, and with the iphone pics! Today was much warmer so my skin got red and splotchy lol, hence the discoloration below my chin, eek.

Anyway, these are two pics taken on different days, the first one is without a contour, the second one is with a contour just under the cheekbones, near my ear.

Earthshine is so subtle but in a good way. I like Earthshine because it doesn't get orange like some bronzers can get on me, and it buffed out really well. While the $1 ELF brush I bought isn't the best brush by any means, it did a pretty good job of only picking up a small amount of product.. I patted Earthshine on, then buffed it out the lines with smidge of translucent powder on a kabuki brush.

Today, I wore MA all on the lid. Mixed the two colors and appliedmit dry. On the outer v and under the eye I used the dark color of earthshine. In the inner tear duct area, I used the lighter part of earthshine. I also used a black pencil eyeliner on the top smudged out. And lastely On the cheeks, I wore center of the universe and contoured with earthshine. I loved it.... This look can work for everyday. Definitely recommend you guys to try.

Byw, I thought magnetic attraction was similar to expensive pink thats why i almost skipped but, it really is different. So happy I bought it.

Thanks you! I'm wearing Bio Green on my lids, Kelly in the crease and under my eyes and Bottle Green in the other V. I used Blanc Type to highlight.

Warning: Rant coming on.

Last week I sent 24 empties to Back to Mac UK, because I was not allowed to send in the 30 I had lying around. Literally copy pasted the address given by the person in charge of B2M attn of that person, as I always do before sending it in

I sent it via registered mail (14+ euros) and it does not arrive AGAIN. You read that right, I sent them in 7 or 8 times up until now of which this is the third time they do not receive it. The first two times I sent them in via regular mail. After the second time, when a package of 30 empties never arrived I started sending via registered mail. Copy paste and print the address given, pay 14 + euros and then having to go into the hassle of filling out papers and waiting 1 to 3 months to hopefully find out who signed Friday 20th July at 9.55.

The second pic has Pink Cult blush, Whisper of Gilt and Earthshine as a contour under the cheeks. I did a quick swipe of the brush across Earthshine, so there was quite a bit of burgundy!

I used the exact same combination today. eyelove.gif It's gorgeous on pale skin!

i've been using my MSFs as blushes religiously ever since i got them. i said in my previous post that i wasn't all that impressed with Star Wonder, but now it's become my go to no-brainer blush! it's just a flattering, relatively natural looking pink that gives you a nice sheen under indoor lights. under the sun, having buffed it out a bit more with application, i've found it hasn't been too glittery.

Light Year on the other hand has started to look a bit dull and a little less flattering than it initially was. I don't know whether this is because of the way i've applied it, where i've dipped my brush or the not-so-sunny weather i've been getting where i live. I'm hoping it's the latter!

I tried LY with a bit of SW on top the other day, it was pretty but nothing to write home about. I think i'll continue to wear them separately. If anyone has any suggestions on which blushes to layer with SW or especially LY i'd love to hear em!

I feel like these two MSF cousins will be competing for my attention for months to come.

Thanks everyone! I was worried it wouldn't show up very well, it's very subtle :-)

I have to return Invincible Light. I hate it so much. It is chunky and makes my eyes burn.

Also here is my sad Earthly that Nordstrom sent me :(

I wonder why themineralize products are so delicate.

Earthly is the only one to arrive like that though. I think it's because Nordstrom put it in a huge box with a small piece of paper. It was rattling when I got it.

Yours actually arrived in much better condition than mine believe it or not!  Someome mentioned that Earthly seemed like it was much more vulnerable than the others for some reason... that would explain why it seems it's the one that is arriving in pieces the most often!  I think it has something to do with the larger amount of matte shadow in Earthly's swirls.  Maybe they aren't binding together with the other shades in the swirl as well as the other ones with more shimmery colors.  Either way, after all the hassle and more waiting on Earthly to arrive in one piece, I am sadly not happy with it.  It looks lovely on PrettyKitty and others seem to really like it, but it is a miss for me.  I gave it 3 really good chances to impress me.  It's a decent color, but not good enough to pass by my other pretty taupes to try it again.... Hope when you get a good one, you like it better than IL.  Sorry you have to deal with that mess of an MES!

I really enjoyed this collection. I'm so sad that this trend has died off. No offense, but I don't think the new eyeshadows that Mac released are anywhere near the beauty of heavenly creatures.

I agree that HC seems more exciting than the new EC shadows, but some people have had their HC goodies for awhile and a lot has been said about it. A lot of the time, anticipation is what leads to people posting a lot. Then comes the excitement about what their swirls look like, the sense of victory one feels when they picked the perfect swirl. Then aside from FOTD, there really isn't much more to say.

People are still using the products, I wouldn't say the trend is dying. I've learned that no matter how excited Specktrettes get about a certain product or trend, it's not long before the buzz is about the next collection or great new product. And that's ok. It's nice to be look forward to things.

Mineralized products are very different from anything else MAC releases. I'm glad that MAC has a variety of products. It allows them to appeal to a wide range of people. For example, I couldn't even really use MSF or MB until recent launches b/c I used to break out every single time I tried in the past. And some people can't use MES without getting eye irritation. If other shadows/products didn't exist (i.e. shades from the permanent line or the new EC shadows), some people wouldn't even give MAC a second thought.

There's a product for everyone! And that's pretty cool.

^^^ Well said!

Cut a caper is back in stock on the UK site, I think I'll get it next week when I get paid! And Earthly finally. I'm never going to be done with this collection. If anyone needs a CP, just let me know. :)

Eek! So sad this thread is dying, especially since Electric Cool doesn't interest me...I feel lonely :'(
post #7073 of 7900

I'm not that excited of Electric Cool, I haven't bought anything from it yet...unsure if I will.  But after the past couple days, I'm debating on finding other brands to shop from, MAC has kinda disappointed me by refusing to help me out on an order that I didn't receive.

Made a nice combo swiping Magnetic Attraction over BE Celestine. Made a gorgeous coppery rose similiar to Mythical e/s. My MA has almost no yellow in it btw. Having so much fun with MA, especially since I never used my Expensive Pink. It just didn't look right on me even tho it's nice in the pan. And Magnetic Attraction is so much more fun!

I was kinda hoping this forum would reach 10000 posts like HK.

It feels like folks are drifting off to other releases.

What is it about mineral makeup that is so enticing???

I'm looking at my swirls and they kinda remind me of the tube/roll cake that has cream or filling in the middle.

Yummy.

I was hoping for 10000 posts, too! We can do it!

In the future I am hoping for a tie dye mineral collection from Mac with some trippy 60's/70's models! Some of these could be repromoted in that collection!

Regardless of the upcoming collections, I don't see myself falling out of love with these anytime soon! They are just so easy to mix with other makeup looks...hence my need to buy more makeup to utilize the HC makeup with! bigstar.gif
