Just want to share my 15 hours of wear time with the Heavenly Creature "water" eyeshadow -yea!  I applied it over Kat von D eye lid primer.  Used Bobbi Brown Ivy Shimmer gel eye liner and MAC Emerald Sea eye liner pencil.  I applied everything at 6:00 am and at 9:00 pm it was still all in place, looking like it did at 6:00 am - yea for MAC!  Oh, and Kat von D and Bobbi Brown yahoo.gif  I love this color because I can use the darker navy for the outside edge, and close to the lash line, the bright green for the remainder of the lid and the yellow in the inside corner.  It's an amazing combination.  Now, if I could just get the blush to stay on....

smiles.gif That look sounds so pretty, I love greens, I'm sure "water" contrasted nicely with Ivy Shimmer, wish I could see a pic smiles.gif

Lmaooo bout the dies with the most makeup remark, u know I gave my sister a SW when the collection first came out she liked it so much that she ended up getting an ES too and loved it just the same maybe your sister would just need to try it on first

MacAddictNurse,

Thanks for that! I'll try it on her and see what she thinks.

ES is just so lovely! I know I'm gonna wear it out this fall!

At this time Nordstrom's still has ES, SW and CotU in stock.  I'll check to see if she likes ES.

Hmm - how about trying a cream base under your blush? Just like a primer - cream will help powder last longer.

LY sold out on the Nordies site a few days after I received it. I loved it but really didn't have a chance to use it and decide on a BU. Of course, I wanted it immediately once I figured out that I couldn't have it, haha. I saw it randomly on Nordies on Tues and placed an order for it, thinking that it'd be just like the Whisper of Gilt fiasco and I'd inevitably get an order cancellation. Days passed and  I completely forgot about it...until last night when I got a shipping notification! Hahaha. Well, I guess I'll have a BU after all! Can't wait to see the swirls.

I have a b/up of ES & that makes me happy. So I'll be able to use it as much as I want this fall, unless LY and SW take over.

Rotation is good!

Now I'm contemplating a BU Star Wonder.

Get it as long as you can CartoonChic!

Otherwise you might regret it later...

Lol, very true. I think I'm only hesitating because of funds. I've bought so much makeup in the last week alone - Styleseeker, a few of the new Chanel Rouge Allures, Sephora's Nylon Lip Tar. I want to get the new MAC purple lipstick coming out, some NARS stuff, and I need to get ready for Marilyn. But with all of that, I'll probably get it anyway. Being broke isn't a good look, but neither is regret. At least I know I won't stay broke!

That is so true!!!

Star Wonder is the one item I did purchase a BU for. I love it. So if you can afford it, go for it. heart.gif

I wore Star Wonder and Neo Nebula to a wedding today! I put them on at 9 in the morning, and they were still going strong when I got home at 1am :D

At least over the past week when I've looked, all were sold out except EarthShine. I guess once that one sold out they just took them off the site.

Look for the collection through the search engine.

The collection sure, but the MSF's are gone, not even shown in the picture! http://www.maccosmetics.com/whats_new/9155/New-Collections/Heavenly-Creature-Colour/index.tmpl

They're still on the Canadian site, although all but ES are sold out. I wonder why they've been taken down.

Thank you fiberluver, I will try that.  I am currently using Smashbox bronze primer, with Smashbox BB cream as my foundation.  That may be why the blush (using Chanel Blush Horizon), and the Heavenly Creature Earthshine that I'm using as contour are not lasting as long. The face makeup does last about 8 hours, but then it fades.  Guess that's not bad?

Does anyone think that the MSFs and the blushes are very similar when blended?

Not the ones I have.

The only blush I purchased from this collex is Stratus & it doesn't look like any of the msfs.

I made off with:

  • Stratus mb
  • Earthshine msf
  • Star Wonder msf (on-order)
  • Light Year msf
I do believe that on off of Mac's website the MsFs are soldnout. The only thing left for the cheeks is stratus.

i thought that too, at first. which is why i passed on most things. i think though, with any kind of blending, you can make something look close. the subtle differences aren't really going to show. i got light year and star wonder, supernova blush, and passed on center of the universe and ring of saturn, because to me, they seemed very similar, and i thought they'd be too orange toned for my skin.

Yeah I have all the MSF except earthshine and I do believe they are all significantly different enough when blended but center of the universe and ring of Saturn are very similar. RofS is just a tad more pink but that's when I stared at both blended swatches for a long time icon_eek.gif but there is no way someone would notice if I had one on one cheek and the other on the other cheek versus having like star wonder on one and CofU on the other cheek...

Venus is a great shade. It's the only pink I own (unless you count Brave).

Hi!  My name is Espe and I've been stalking the MAC forums on specktra since December.  I  didn't know where else to mention this, but yesterday I went to my MAC Pro store and the MUA that always helps me when I go in, showed me all the new MAC palettes and the inserts, including the cream foundation and lipsticks ones.  I asked her if MAC ever plans on releasing palettes for mineralized products and she told me that people have been demanding mineralized palettes, but more people still need to bug mac about it.  I, personally, would love to see that option out there, so if anyone is interested please send MAC an email, call, post on their facebook page, or if you are a MAC Pro member, please post on the Pro forums that you would like to see MAC offer palettes for mineralized products.

Thanks everyone!

I hope to have the guts to continue posting on this forum!
