I cannot get over the price for the palette and the insert--it seems greedy to me.  The product is lovely but I can get a Z palette with a clear top for so much less.  Price with inserts is close to $40 and that is without any product in it.  IDK.  Will MAC phase out the old palettes?

I saw these double palettes in store today and they are nice BUT the palette when filled is very heavy. The display palette had 15 eyeshadows and six blushes. I think imma take my time and decide which palettes I should get.

So I went to purchase some eyeshadow pans tonight and the price is back up to $12!  I'm confused since I ordered a couple last week for $10!!!

That price changing Is weird..

Price change is crazy especially since I went on chat and asked about it I was told it 10 was the correct price change and not a fluke. Come on MAC get it together

censored.gif!!!!!!  When I first saw they were down to $10, I was going to stock up just in case they decided to switch it back, but when they said it was the correct new price, I decided to wait until I had more things I needed!   th_wallbash.gif    thmbdn.gif

i dont think ill be getting these

I just went to order too and they're 12$ , it never made sense to be 10$ anyway because then you're paying 5$ just to get it in a pot.. But I was fine with it lol ;(

The ocd side of me cant handle one side having an insert and the other side not.

I saw that MAC had the eyeshadows in pan back at $12, even though I could have got some for $10 sooner. Oh, well.

I am so sad they raised the prices back to $12... should have known that it was too good to last.

Finally someone showing it without inserts on both sides. I dunno why people were freaking out saying that they HAD to have inserts, and that they wouldn't hold without one.

I agree with you tho. It's all or none, not just one!

Thanks for checking out my blog post! I much prefer the palette with no inserts, but I just wanted to show different options... I don't like how difficult it is to get the eyeshadows out with them.

Thanks for the link. she said the magnet is strong so I think I'm going to grab one for my Brighter colors. I'll get a single for my neutrals and blushes.

I picked up a blush palette today.... And cubic and harmony to fill it lol

The thickness of the new palettes make them a skip for me. I have two full e/s palettes and one new old style. I never bothered with the blush palettes because I always have to touch up my blush during the day so I need to keep them as singles so I can travel easily with them.

Just picked up one of the new double-sided palettes, and I think I like it.  The divider in between is nice for labeling which e/s is where in the palette, as long as you don't mind putting stickers on the clear divider.  Not sure how difficult it will be to get empty pans out of the insert, but I guess I'll find out sooner or later.  Has anyone found a good way to get them out?  I also don't mind the weight or thickness of the new palette, and as far as the price goes, it's actually a good deal compared to buying two single-sided palettes.  I'm using this one for my neutrals and my browns, since I use those the most often.  I think I'll give it a couple of weeks to see if I discover any problems with it, and if it works out, I'll buy two more to accommodate the rest of my e/s.  yes.gif

I updated my post to reflect this, but I wanted to let you girls know that I have had two eyeshadows fall down onto the clear shield... and they were on the side without the divider. Nothing broke, but it definitely pissed me off. I was walking around the house with the palette, looking for good lighting to take pics for my blog and that's when I heard the little guy fall onto the shield. Unless you are going to be leaving your palette stationary the dividers may be a necessity :(  I am going to leave mine the way it is, but I don't want to be responsible for any broken shadows. Here is the link that I am referring to:

Getting shadows out are a breeze! It takes all of 2 seconds.

I used one of my pro pan blushes today and just thought about how dope it would be if MAC made a 2 pan blush palette. it would be so perfect for travel.

Really?  I'd love to see a picture of the 2 blushes fitting into a quad palette without the insert. :)

I completely agree.
