Hmm, the "quote" thing doesn't seem to be working for me today.

 

Re Sexy Sadie's post "I am a lover of ArtDeco Cosmetics as well, I am waiting on this collection, out due august. I am going to become so broke."

 

I've been hankering after that too, and I'm wondering if that will be coming to the UK, and if so where I will be able to get it.  Cocktail Cosmetics online have ArtDeco, but not the full range of colours, so I don't know if they will get the collection or not.

Really like the packaging. Kind of what I wanted for Marylin. The shade looks very nice as well. But it's a frost finish, right?

Only the two kits, the one lipstick and two nail polishes have this packaging. Even though it looks great, sexy actually, I'm still skipping.

Maybe try it in person. Nudes are always tricky, though a frosty one can come in handy as a highlight.

I never bought a frost lipstick. (Except a lavender-blue one when I was 15/16, LOL! It was a crazy shade, I used to layer it over other l/s.) But never a MAC one. Maybe this will be my first since then, I'm definitely interested. I'll wait for swatches to see how frosty exactly it is.

You should really give them a chance!

Some colors look very nice with this finish IMO.

I have quite a few blue-violet lipsticks and i'm always happy to get more! Some have frost, some don't. I'm just a pushover for blue-violet lip products.

 

Back when MAC was new in town - in the mid to late 90s - i got:

Lust - highly frosted pale blue violet (black cylinder tube)
Grid - frosted dark blue violet (silver bullet tube)
 
They still smell and feel OK. It'd be nice if MAC'd bring one or both back... I suspect you'd like Lust - sounds just like what you're asking for.

I never got Lust, but I had Grid for a long time. I'm not even sure what happened to it. It was a great colour, unlike any purple I've seen before or since. I also loved Jet, which was a semi-sheer, frosty gunmetal colour. And Force, which was a bluish silver. I miss when Mac used to have those sort of fringe-y colours in their permanent collection just because that's who they were.

Oh lilinah! You just made my night. I never heard of Lust or Grid. I'm going to google them to see if I can see what they looked like. They sound heavenly.th_e2cloud9.gif Lust does sound like a lippie I'm thinking of, but I would get both of them if MAC ever repromoted them. Thank you!
