Hair Chalking with OIL PASTELS?? [EDITED] plz help me :3

Hi there.So recently I heard about the trend--Hair Chalking and the best way to achive it is by soft pastels.But I already have lots of oil pastels so I was wondering can i do the hair chalking with oil pastels?Any tips,tricks and advice in it?Any problems using it? I'll be glad to know the answers soon..thanks smiles.gif

Its been several months since I buyed a TITI soft pastel and it works satisfactorily.I even chalked my hair and went to school..well everyone gave me cool compliments, but they were kinda confused too as to how I 'chalked' my hair (well ofcourse I explained to them 'bout it)



 



BUT now a new problem just aroused.I have recently rebonded my hair,so it will be really helpful if anyone can give me the advice that if I can use soft-pastels on rebonded hair?

I have never heard of this,m but wow, seems interesting. So i googled it, and OMG, do NOT use oil pastels! At least according to this website.

I'd imagine using oil pastels would cause the hair to become matted & be very difficult to wash out! I'd definitely stick to chalk pastels, they are pretty cheap & you'd be able to pick some up cheaply at your local art store, do any of your friends have some that you could borrow?

Your hair becoming matted could be least of your worries. I can only imagine the level of toxins that are in oil pastels. I definitely would not be using those on my hair or skin for any reason.

I'll never try oil pastels,I'll keep that in mind. Sadly we guys use oil pastels for arts so I guess I have to buy the soft pastels.

 

Btw, can't wait! It sure is coolio :) You guys too don't forget to try out this awesome hair chalking ;)
