MAC for Marilyn - Page 37

I'm not drawn to any of this collection and I expected to be. Maybe the BP, but only if I love it. Hopefully the holiday collection will be great - I love the kits that are often launched (just not the brushes).

Does anyone know if the two darkest lippies are blue based (Deep scarlet  & Dark true red)?

^I would like to know that as well!

If they are yellow based, they are definitely a no-go for me. Neutral tone might not work for me either.

I agree hopefuly it's wearable for all complexions.

I'm glad I'm skipping most of the lippies. One less problem to ponder :)

Wikipedia says: Scarlet is a bright red color with a hue that is somewhat toward the orange and is redder than vermilion. &

"true red"... produced by mixing pigment red with a tiny amount of white.

There's hope!

I think I might only want Love Goddess, depending on swatches (unless I've missed some). Maybe Scarlet Ibis but not sure. I have Lady Danger so might not "need" it really.

I agree about the packaging it reminds me of the stickers they'd put on kids sharpeners
They could of done way better especially with a popular picture of her
Idk y her pic reminds me Michael Jackson

I wasn't impressed by the packaging either.

Besides the ls and bp, I am not drawn to anything either.  I only want the bp b/c it is larger compact with Marilyn on it.  The packaging is not that great, however, so I might still pass.  It really depends on the swatches.

Now if they would just sell it at dollar store prices, then I would buy the whole lot.  Except the nps - not even at dollar store prices.

What does a BP actually do and why is it so coveted?

I know I want the perfect cheek and Love goddess. Legendary made it on my maybe list. I have enough skinfinishes/beauty powder that I really don't need another one so skipping that. Before I would hve bought all 4 eyeshadows but now I'm unsure.

My list is Love Goddess lipstick, Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder and The Perfect Cheek Blush. And possibly Deeply Adored.

Uh oh.

Good Lord! I did not need that image associated with this collection!!! I like them both but don't want to see this when I look at this collection. I just when "Ohhhh" in a high pitched chirp when I saw it.

While it seems that I buy a lot, I'm actually always very selective. But when I buy, I purchase multiples :)

I think I do the same. I consider my collection to be well edited to my tastes and the things I love to wear. I have very few items that I feel are mistakes or that I can probably do without. I prefer for things to be organized, so I don't like a lot of stuff for the sake of having stuff. I do buy a lot of what I love, but I still think my makeup collection is small. I could probably fit everything inside of two shoe boxes.

cutey.gif I know, just teasing! What has been your MOST backed up item?

Have you ever posted a stash pic? I bet you need two rooms to house everything :)

I am getting better with my selections every week mostly with the help here. I have made far less mistakes this year than previous years. It's hard to resist highly coveted items but if they won't work... they won't work!

I'm probably just going toget to 2 l/s the most and I don't know what mac was smoking when they priced the lipglass and eyeshadows.

Yeah, it's on par with special packaging and price increases. I thought the e/s was regular sized... at $22 that would've been insane! But I'm thinking they will be the pro-long wear size since those are currently $21... add $1 for special packaging and it's $22. In that case, not as bad.

Those are Dazzleglasses. They're normally $19.50 like Cremesheen Glasses, so they added an extra $2 for the packaging. Hmm, I just noticed it's $2 more instead of $1. I wonder if this is because of that satin packaging Naynadine mentioned.
