I flipped theough instyle yesterday but didn't see this page. Deeply Adorned looks like it will be coming home for me. I am glad they put a little background in there about the photo shoot that inspired the collection a bit

you could always get the small square Z palette. :)

Then again, You are paying for the packaging. So is it worth buying these shades if they are really dupable?  More so when you plan on depotting them. hehe

Heck, the shadows shound lovely.. but they also sound very VERY dupable.

Is Marilyn going to be the Holiday collection?

Seriously turned off by the price, LG's gotta b one heck of a l/s to justify the price...grr

I was only going to get a lipstick and maybe one more item from this collection for the packaging. None of the colors excite me. However, I'm not paying $17 for a Mac lipstick. I might as well go buy Nars or something. So, skip.

I only want the lipsticks but that $17 price tag is annoying.....

Naw, definitely not. We should be hearing about the holiday collection soon. Hopefully anyway.

Sucks to think in a few years they will be $17. That's why I figure time to stock up on perm items before they go up.
The lippies sound gorg, but seem like their dupable so I don't know. Same for the shadows.

17 € for a lipstick in the US ? Well, it means at last 20 € here. I really need 3 lipsticks and the beauty powder whatever the price it will be. Some colours look really gorgeous, I'll have to pass other M.A.C collections I guess. I do not like their packagings but I do love the colours ! The beauty powder will be ok I think, my Glitter and Ice fell on the ground so I had to throw it away, the Marilyn is probably not extraordinary but I'll purchase it anyway.

Yes I was told the same release date, I will call my local M.A.C store in early september ( I love them all, they're really great with their customers here ) and give them the products names, I know I'll purchase 3 lipstick and the beauty powder.

Do you know what are the other collections to be released before the Marilyn collection, it would help in case I wish to pick up other things !

Thank you kimibos! Deeply Adored will be mine. Since when are the lippies $17? I thought it was going to be $15 for these? Guess I'm late to the ball game or something. I'll still spend the $$$ for this collection. Super excited. I love how everything looks. Wish it were coming out sooner because I want it now.

They're already $18 for standard lippies here. Makes a lot of sense with the Canadian dollar trading above USD.

 

I'm not willing to pay $28 for MAC shadows. I can buy high end brands for about that. It's clear that they're trying to move upmarket, but I'm sure I'm not the only one increasingly just turning to the higher cost alternative in the first place since the difference isn't that material and I know I won't have to jump through hoops (how many had to site stalk and wait up until ridiculous hours to get BR items?!) to be able to buy a new collection (without even being able to swatch it in person).

 

I've been buying MAC since the 90s (sometimes more heavily than others), but it's never been this insane. I'm tired of the limited quality LE nonsense. Launch fewer collections and make enough to last a reasonable period of time (read: not 30 lippies for Canada online store).

My list has actually changed a lot from what I originally planned to get. I'm getting less.

Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder is a maybe.

 

I'll get Pure Zen and the lip pencils in regular packaging. The eye shadows have moved from a definitely to a not likely on my list. The larger size and price turned me off. I'm undecided about the Dazzleglasses.

 I bet that the lipsticks are going to look AMAZING on you!

Lippies (standard) are €18/$23 in Holland, I hate the price differences.
