My list is getting longer. I'm getting all the lipsticks except Pure Zen, all the shadows, and I'm even thinking about picking up a nail polish or two. I love my Mac Wonder Woman Obey Me red nail polish so I might like some other reds.

I have to say I'm not super excited about this collection as I have been about other collections.  I will probably pick up some of the eye shadows and maybe the beauty powder.  I'm not really into red lips day-to-day and I think I have enough in my stash as it is! haha

It depends when this comes out I am thinking BP and a lipstick or two. I do like the packaging and I love Marylin

 Can't wait!!!! I believe it comes out on October 4th here in the States, not sure about Canada. Maybe one of our lovely Canadian family members can let you know when it is to come out.

If they will do it for you, then I would ask them sooner than later.  I submitted my list to my MAC Pro SA back in June.

The early bird catches the worm. I'm with you and all put my order on hold earlier this summer.

I have a BP on hold so I don't need to join the madness to get one. So much easier that way.

Hmm. I've decided that I'm (probably) skipping the lippies. Still debating the BP. It's a peach color, right? I can't imagine it looking bad on my fall/winter skin (NC25-30 tops)...

I'm expecting the b/p and lippies to go FAST - I may have Love Goddess and the b/p reserved...

I think it will all go fast!

Yeah ia, I'm completely losing interest. I was considering a lippie or two but I think I'm way more interested in Yung Rapunxel.

Maybe swatches will change my mind but where ARE they?

I'm not losing interest at all, but I do wish this would be released earlier. I think sometimes when we find out about a collection too far ahead of time and then it takes awhile for it to be released we start getting bored, lose interest, etc. We haven't seen swatches or really heard anything else concerning upcoming collections which usually give us some happiness. As of now. I'm still planning on getting three lipsticks, the pb and maybe an eyeshadow. Not sure it all depends. I do like the Marilyn collection a lot more than the Nars x Andy Warhol collection, plus that is way expensive and there are barely any new lippies or blushes to get excited about. At least with Marilyn there are some new stuff. IMO.

Even without swatches, the color stories help me get an idea of what might be the best products spread over a few collections - like I knew I'd rather wait till the pressed pigments for some neutral shadow, rather than getting it from Electric Cool or Marilyn. 

Please don't get me wrong. I LOVE finding out info for upcoming collections early. It's just that if we don't get the newer info fast enough I feel I get a tad bored with knowing what is already expected to come out. Does this make sense?

oh sure it does, hon - I'm just teasing you! I'm still playing with all my Styleseeker goodies, which I love, so that's keeping me busy. We're certainly having an info decline, but then again, updates aren't happening for a little bit - maybe we'll still get surprise info in a few weeks!

One thing, this collection is pretty subtle. It's just variations on red and neutral eyes. For me, it's really straightforward about which shade or two is going to work the best on lips or eyes for me, since these are the sorts of colors that I get all perfectionist about and need them to 100% work. I made up my mind about them, and then all the fantasy and thinking about different cool combinations of products from within the collection is over. I'll get excited again when that perfect red is in my hot little hands, but for now Marilyn is a bit  for me!

I don't like the packaging to be completely honest. I feel like the designers didn't put much effort on creating something unique that reflects the beauty idol Marilyn used to be and still is. I also find myself quite dissapointed by the eyeshadows, at least from what I can see - since we there are no swatches available yet - they really look alike to some of the classics. Although I fell in love with the Pure Zen lipstick as fast as I saw it!

Oct. 4 in stores. It should be online earlier than that, probably the last week of September or so.

1. Stalk the website.  
2. Make sure you're at your local store or counter right before it opens.  
3. Visit/call your local store or counter NOW to see if you can preorder or hold the items you want. 
4. Purchse from eBay and other members if all else fails. 

I'm going with option 1. The collection should also be available from other online stores like Macy's and Nordstrom, so there's another chance there. CartoonChic, you had me rolling literally. This is so very very true. I'm with you on the #1 option. I will start my stalking about a week earlier than it's release date.
