Think I'm just getting the BP. Want to get a few things from Illamasqua and gotta save up for GD! And theres a few new red lippies by L'oreal that are coming out. Did you see the swatches on Allura?! L'oreal has really been hitting it out of the park lately.

So far, I only know that I definitely want Love Goddess and Scarlet Ibis (I missed the IA collection altogether, boo). Not sure about the other 2 reds. Red lipstick and I don't get along; All of them pull pink and/or fuschia on me! I just got Runaway Red, same issue. Ditto Heartless, Eden Rouge, Fire Sign, Red Racer, etc. etc. I will have to swatch those 2 in person.

 

I am not sure about the blushes and BP yet either. Aiming to only get one, and so far I think the BP will be my best bet. Have to see more swatches though. My counter doesn't allow pre-orders nor do they do sneak peeks, so I am stuck waiting for release day.

 

Mercifully, I'm not interested in anything else. Money saved for the holiday collection!

BP BU time

Thanks for the swatches, MACina! Now I know that I can safely pass on TPC without any skipper's remorse. I have Pink Cult and don't use it nearly enough. Plus, I also own Blushbaby and NEVER use it b/c I tend to reach for Tarte's Exposed instead. TPC wouldn't get the proper love it deserves from me! 

Thanks to everyone posting swatches the help us decide. It's only a few days till it's online but I think I'm just sticking to three lippies.

Now I want Scarlet Ibis. I watched Seven Year Itch last night and seriously could not get over the gorgeousness that is Marilyn Monroe. I impatiently waited for her next on screen appearance and which awesome outfit she would wear next. The lipstick she wears throughout the movie looks exactly like Scarlet Ibis and I couldn't get over how beautiful it looked on her!

Oh gosh, now I want it too! My local theater played Some Like it Hot this week and had special themed cocktails. SO fun. Loving that Marilyn is everywhere right now!

 

If Mac had created SI in the 1950s, Marilyn would have worn it lol. I LOVE Some Like it Hot! It was my first Marilyn movie. I also saw it live when it came to my city about 8 years ago.

My list has gone from about 8 items to 5 items..

I'll only get Scarlet Ibis and Forever Marilyn bp.  I'm still not sure about Love Goddess.

The bp looks divine! I'm going to have to be quick though - it'll sell out in no time!

If you have Pink Cult + a BU... Do you girls think The prefect cheek is necessary?

LG is pretty much in the bag... it will be alone, but in the bag for sure!

 

Does the online store in the UK sell out as fast as the US one?

I just want the beauty powder now! Love Goddess looks super similar to Moxie. No need to repeat in my stash!

Did I read that right, $40 for the e/s?  I may pass on that.

It's really hard to predict - some stuff sells out in a matter of hours and other things stick around for weeks!

 

With collections like this it does, and we rarely get re-stocks

 

Bumping the US prices for reference. I believe the $40 may have been Australian pricing. 

I just called my Dillard's counter to see if they do pre-sales, and they said that they haven't heard anything on the MM collection and to come in on the 4th when it launches. Boo. But they did mention that they will be pre-sales for the holiday collections. A little sad right now.. lol. I guess I will be stalking with you Specktrettes!!!!

Ok so I just got back from the Marilyn Collection event from my pro store. It was big. There was alot of make up stations set up so they can do your make up using the new products. The artist used the perfect cheek blush, the eye brow marker, red l/l and the black liquid eyeliner from the collection. I asked her to use Love Goddess l/s since I was only interested in that shade. I'll be honest I told her to not show me the other 2 red lippies because I didn't need the temptation lol. (Deeply Adored and Charmed I'm sure) Anywhooooo.... yes my hunch was right Love Goddes is a pinker toned red and nothing like Red Racer. Very nice on my NW-10 skin. I ended up getting it. When it officially comes out I will go back and grab a BU of it. I took a couple pics using my cell. I will try to upload them soon.

I still don't know what to get from this collection. I'm interested in Scarlet Ibis, but that's it? Should I add a blush or BP, but are they unique? I'm in trouble!
