MAC for Marilyn - Page 8

I like the sound of the white dazzleglass. I do prefer dazzleglass cremes, but still love me some DG's.

The price for the amount is def a factor, you can go through them pretty quick.

I think it's a great formula, but for the price, ehhhhh. I think any drugstore brand can product a sheer shimmery glitter lipgloss that would be just as satisfying at a fraction of the cost. Cremesheens are another story, because if the color is unique I don't mind paying for them (i.e. my beloved Narcissus). 

 

 

I'm actually kinda glad that the shadows are individuals. Sometimes in quads if you dont like some of the colors its almost not worth getting. But most of the time if I like at least two enough I'll give in lol

Let the endless lusting begin!!! I'm kind of split on this collection. The shades look nice, but it's like it lacks a "wow" for me. That said I"m really in love with neutral eyes and red lips, so it would be a great opportunity to stock up on things I might wear a lot. Here's what catches my eye at first glance... (I have two of the three lip pencils and I really recommend them- perfect matches to warm and cool reds)

I would have liked the eyeshadows as a quad, too, as it would be much cheaper that way.  That's probably why they have done them as singles, though - so they can charge more for them

Thanks - I would so appreciate that. If SI is more red, it will definitely come home with me. I'd love an orange-red.I see SLV as an orange; I'm not as fond of the pure orange shades like Booyah, Morange, etc.

Oooh, this collection is made for me (a pale platinum blonde with a penchant for red lips) I haven't been this excited for a collection in quite a while. I just hope I have the cash to pick up at least one of the lipsticks!

Isn't Fascinating Eye Khol permanent? I wish they would have repromoted I get no Kick. sigh.gif I've been waiting for it to come back for a while now and I think it would've been perfect in this collection.

So many things to be excited for. I am so happy that the shadows are VP. 

Will skip SI. I bought it the first time around and found that the color magnified the fact that I have less than perfect teeth. My teeth aren't bad but something about that shade made them look hideously yellow.

 

My wishlist is fairly manageable. Two e/s, two l/s, one d/g, one blush and the BP.

I'm interested in the lipsticks and the blushes. Not much of a huge eyeshadow person as I prefer to buy palettes that can suit all looks but we'll see. I'll need to see swatches before I can commit though. I'm trying to slim down my collection at the moment.

I think that this is a very "Marilyn" collection. And as i figured, there's not much appealing to me. I'm just not a red lipstick woman. Nor do i wear black eye liner or mascara. The only products i plan test are:

I have MSF Redhead, which sounds like it might be similar in color to Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder, although a different finish. I have Pink Cult blush ("mid tone very neutral pink beige"), which sounds similar to The Perfect Cheek. I have some white pearl eyeshadows already. And i have the UD Naked palette which has quite a few beiges.
 
While i think this is an excellent collection for the color story, i think it doesn't have much to offer me. I hope the rest of you enjoy your red lipsticks!
