glam : yup, according to that manager, it would be cancelled, where the blames were put on - the staff who wasn't a regular staff (whom I felt sorry for, main reason i was holding my flame); with the hint that pre order was only allowed short period of time (this is new to me, is it true if you have to do pre order, you have to do it within time frame allowed????)

They have not charged me yet. I probably still have time/chance to get what I want (cross finger) , but had missed mac online order since i thought I was "safe' with my pre order. Only thing I can be thankful for is to know it today, and not the release day i go to pick up "order" and then only realize mine one is cancelled, my flame would be greater if this is the case, knowing it last minute. Probably , there would be nothing left, lol.

But thank you (glam and C2) for listening to my rant and sorry for the rant.....i have been keeping it for the sake of the staff. It appears to me the manger is "blaming" her and policy, instead of rectifying the issue.

Here's a look I did on my boyfriends cousin for her homecoming today. I used How to Marry on the lid with Showgirl on the outer and part of the crease.. then I smoked it out with Blackout from the Naked 2 palette. I also used Forever Marilyn as a highlight. Not the best picture.

i'm not sure i'm the best placed to explain, because i only own one beauty powder (alpha girl), but i think you can use it as you wish....since it's a light colour, on many people it'd be best as a highlight, but on others it could work as an all over setting powder.  (the latter is how i use alpha girl) i think in general these powders are very finely milled, so their finish is different from a blot powder or something.

So any final dates, when nordie will release this collection?

The BP is awesome. I used it today. You can use it all over or as a highlighter...it basically just looks glowy... I love it. I want more.

Well, I guess it would be best to always  place couple of orders (just in case, to be on "safe' side)? Probably can start stalking their site and do on line order. Hope all you will get what you want. 

This is really stressful, hopefully i won't be dissapointed by the products after all this stress. I would be content if can just get 1 lipstick and 1 beauty powder

i don't mind getting from ebay if no other choice and they are close to what i pay to retailer (plus tax , shipping, I suppose they have to pay fees as well), but 3 or 4 lipsticks for  $150 is depressing to look at, I won't give a 2nd thought.

I like spectra as they are sharing info, swatches , advice that have been great help for us, : )

I feel Rocker pulls more burgundy on me than Deeply Adored does. DA has more of a balance between the red and the purple, and it appears more complex and multi-dimensional of a shade. 

 

Charmed, I'm Sure is definitely blue-toned and it seems a little more pink than Runaway Red. I still love my Ruffian Red and Red Racer for my "go-to" red shades, but Charmed, I'm Sure is a lovely addition nonetheless.

Do you wear Rocker a lot? I love these kind of shades and I am NC15 like yourself, but they easily pull brown on me. Last Friday I wore Diva and later in the day even that seemed to have a brown tone. I also have Dubonnet and rarely wear it because it pulls brown on me. Funny thing is that Viva Glam I is exactly the same shade but Matte and that seems to make the difference because that one shows more red. What's your verdict on the undertone of Deeply Adored?

I also the pink swatches you did btw. Sigh...

I now have another burning question:  What brush do you recommend using to apply beauty powders?  Can I use my big fluffy powder brush?  Or should I opt for something else/different?

It's not completely mat, maybe it gets that way when worn for an hour or a couple of hours. I haven't worn it for a full day I only tried it on to see how it looked and then took it off again, because I was going to eat and I prefer not to have lipstick on when I eat. I swatched Pourpre Divin in store and I didn't like the finish as much. Violet Singulier isn't available here only at the airport I believe, but it looks a bit too sheer for me. I really like this one, because it's so opague. It is a vampy purple not purple purple if that makes sense. I'm starting to enjoy vampy lips a lot so this was a great addition to my collection, but you might be able to find a dupe for it although it seems more purple than most vampy lipsticks to me.

I'll put up comparisons with the marilyn lippies when I get them on october 6th. October 6th can't come fast enough!

Thanks for the comparison swatches! I think I'm going to stick to my original list and only get Love Goddess from the lippies.

So the closest dupe for Love Goddess would be Full Fuchsia. FF is a smidge more pink and has a different shine being that it's amplified. Love Goddess has just a touch of red but otherwise, they're similar enough where if you absolutely love Love Goddess for its color, Full Fuchsia is permanent at PRO stores, so snatch it up! (Thanks and shout out to Purplerinne for CPing at her PRO store for me, and getting me Full Fuchsia! 

Moxie is bolder and definitely more watermelony than Love Goddess. 

That being said, I love Love Goddess and since I've been wearing Full Fuchsia so much, I'm glad to add LG into the mix!

 

Scarlet Ibis swatches included just because. I didn't purchase a Marilyn version, but I just got the two Revlon Shanghai collection lipsticks and thought I would include those in as a comparison. I think Cherry Blossom would also be a great drugstore dupe for LG. It's a little sheer, but you definitely get the pink aspect of it.

Seeing ALL these reds compared in the same lighting is exactly what I needed to stop all the wondering and weighing of options in my feeble brain.  SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL!!!!

It has definitely shown me that I need Moxie, I am still going to buy CIS DA and LG, and it reminded me of one of my great loves for the past: Dubonnet.
