MAC for Marilyn - Page 18

I like the packaging..though not as pretty as I expected. Will still buy because I love Marilyn lol. Can't wait to see more pics!

I'm guessing these were part of the photo set that was just rediscovered this past year- would certainly make sense, since it's somewhat current and the images are ones that people wouldn't have seen before.

If you are quite light, nc/nw25 or lighter, sometimes you can wear them like blush, depending on the color. Like Heatherette Alpha Girl, I use that one as blush. Otherwise, I use them as highlighters :) They are soft and give you a nice, soft sheen for the ones that have pearl or frosty.

Thanks. I have a deeper skin tone. I'm guessing maybe nc/nw 45 or higher since I haven't been matched yet, so I hope it shows up on me or doesn't appear ashy on my skin. It sounds pretty. But if it doesn't work for me, that's money saved.

I'm pretty sure that this is the final version, I can't imagine that they will change it. I think the beauty powder compact looks classy, but I do like the e/s and l/g packaging less. I keep thinking that all special packaging collections will look like this, just a different color with some sticker-like print on it. I guess if we want to have a more unusual packaging, we have to buy the couture collections.

her silhoutte embossed or etched on packaging would have been very simple but elegant. I like the pictures but very unimpressed witht the stickers.

It will be interesting too see how many different fake Marilyns we will see on Ebay.

I love the photoshoot. Aside from being classy and fresh she was also very sexy! I think these show that. I like it. And there is some great colors here. Kinda egh about them being stickers though.

Peel-off stickers. Eeek! 

Dame Edna disaster all over again! Let's hope that's not the case!

I love Marilyn, but I'm a bit disappointed with the packaging for this collection.

That's exactly how I was expecting it!

Also Venomous Villains packaging were decorated with stickers? I mean... are those the stickers you are talking about? they are not so bad IMO..but of course they easily get damaged.. The image of the evil queen on my Strange potion lipglass has the edges ruined :/

I don't think those really are stickers, I think it's printed on. But it kind of looks like stickers.

I have never had problems with the images on special packaging coming off.

Yup they are printed on and I think the marilyn packaging will be as well. My liberty of london lipglasses have some small parts rubbed of, because I put pressure with my fingers on those parts when I open the glosses. Now that I make sure I only put pressure on the clear parts it's fine.

The don't really look like stickers to me.  MAC has been pretty good in the past few years with printing the images on the packaging  (Hello Kitty, Marine Life, Surf Baby, VV, etc)  

You know what's missing,  a mirrored compact.   I would have loved one, since I am not going to haul the beauty powder.  That would have been a great collectable item as well.

Yes, I expected there would be some accessories in this collection, like a compact mirror or a makeup bag.

I was hoping for a birthmark/mole accessory. I would have bought it. Same with a makeup bag and/or mirror as you suggest Naynadine.

so I guess this collection has printed on images then! Ad a makeup bag or accesories would have been really appreciated (but we usually don't get special stuff here in Italy >_______<)

After seeing the packaging, I only want the beauty powder and my BU of SI.  If they are not peel off stickers, then I may end up getting more.

IA that accessories like a mirror would have been great.  I am actually surprised that MAC didn't think of adding items like a mirror or makeup bag.

I don't think we have seen stickers since Dame Edna.  I think MAC has been doing a great job with packaging.

I don't need a glue-on mole, I have plenty of my own.  I used to darken one with eyeliner pencil when I did my makeup Marilyn style.  I haven't done it that way for some time though, as I have trouble with winged liner now because age has caused my eyes to become hooded :(
