I am hoping that the Marilyn red is gorgeous. I'm not all that thrilled with the packaging. It needs to be glamorous.

I like the packaging but I don't love it like I thought I would. I totally agree that it should be more glamorous.... I'm thinking Swarovski! Luckily we have a local artist up here (The Ice Diva) who will ice anything you want with Swarovski crystals... I'm definitely going to have her do the beauty powder compact for me!encore.gif

Oh wow! I love Swarovski crystals. A compact would be awesome. What color would you choose or maybe clear stones?

Well, of course I hit MAC today, I had to go get my BU of Venus(and some other stuff). 

 

While I was there a lil birdie told me they will be having a special night event for the MM collection!   eyelove.gif

it's not the images, they r nice...but...using them for packaging? that's so cheap. I've see better at the dollar stores.

totally agree... they need to get more creative

i honestly think its an insult to marilyn.... a signature would of been better.... couture packaging..... not the same as disney.........

Bought the Rouge Allure Excessive one, the store still had a few of them left.

I know, how stupid to discontinue such a popular color. One lady bought the last 14...yes 14!!!!!!!! of them so there were none left. They probably ended up on ebay th_MadWithShortFuse.gif

I kinda like the BP packaging but idk about the others.  I dislike how the image of her on the packaging with the window tops obscures the product.  I mean, everyone loves a picture of Marilyn but I prefer the designs that aren't so solid--it's almost flat even.  It just looks awkward to me.

Yeah!  After I saw the post reminding me how much I LOVE my Dragon, I looked on ebay and some are being sold for up to $100!  That is crazy!  But if someone is going to actually PAY THAT... they must want it WAY more than me!  I could NEVER justify $100 for ANY lip product/color/brand/etc!  There are just too many GREAT reds to be that coo-coo!  th_crazy2.gif 

Thanks for the recs on other great Chanel colors... I'll check some out!  Dragon is my only Chanel lippie.  But I have some beautiful Diors and YSL's too.  From the Dior LE Holiday line, Dior Belle De Nuit is a huge fav of mine... and STILL available on the Nordies site!
