I'm about to raise hell with Bloomingdale's!! I placed 2 orders. 1 with the FM BP & Legendary Blush, 1 with Pure Zen Lipstick and another FM BP.
I am only getting one BP shipped already....the other BP on back order and the rest...POOF GONE. Not even on the invoice on my Bloomingdale's account anymore =(
They canceled my entire order. :(

I think an Audrey collection would sell out FAST!!! I know I'd buy from it!
Yessssss, comic book nerds unite!!!
Yes to both, please!! I've been tempted by the Cinderella collection at Sephora already...purposely haven't gone to see it in person so that I don't spend any more money that I don't even have.
I don't know which is more awesome. The idea of a Sandman collection, or the fact that someone on specktra brought it up when I happen to be in the process of re-reading the series. You are officially on my list of awesome!!! I can totally picture that collection too.
Anyone thought of Mae West? I'd definitely consider her an icon, and with the variety of famous quotes of hers, I can think of some really fun ideas for product names!
When I think of Mae West and some of the other icons noted here (as well as Betty Boop) it conjures memories of red lips. Is that Accurate?
Got my nordies order with Beet and Legendary today. Legendary is seriously a mix between Immortal Flower and Launch Away!. Launch away is a touch lighter, Immortal flower is darker, more orange. It is closest to Launch away!.
Anyway, I officially depotted my Hey Sailor and Marilyn blushes today! Along with Supercontinental. Luckily no casualties.

My Nordstrom order should be home when I get off work! Can't wait to go home!
So here goes my updated opinion on FM.
While I still do not notice a sheen or anything life altering, I did notice is how different my complexion looks. As a rule have nice skin (no problem with acne but a do notice fine lines creeping up). However, I did when I was out shopping today that my skin looked almost flawless. Maybe even more youthful. If I was MAC, I would have called this complexion perfection instead of B/P. It made my foundation looked airbrushed.
I was wondering if everyone else was wearing their b/p over their foundation or as their foundation. I was wearing mine on top of foundation today and wanted to make sure I was using correctly.
On a side note, my husband and I went to lunch today and I noticed he kept looking at my face and I think he was trying to figure out what was different. I took that as a compliment because otherwise I don't think he notices one way or the other what I do as far as makeup. Also, I went to KMART today to look at costumes since they were 40% off and this man came up to me and asked me directions to the Airport (which is only 1 block away so I started laughing when he asked
) After telling him it was only 1 block away and giving him directions, he walked away and came back to say he really just wanted to know if I was available. I quickly went to a different dept because I felt awkward but then my thoughts went back to this b/p and it made me smile.

You know what, so weird. When I was walking to college today I can't even count how many men were looking at me out of their cars. I usually get passed without a glance but something was up. I won't credit it to the BP, but it really is quite coincidental lol.
I used the BP over my foundation. I have a really oily t-zone so I lightly powdered my face first, though if you don't you can obviously skip powder and just use it as a setting powder. If I don't set mine, my foundation would be totally gone within an hour or two from my nose especially. It really is such a gorgeous product. I only have 3 so I'm going to use it sparingly - I can thankfully say I only wear make-up 3x a week, sometimes 4 so I know I won't go through it as quickly as those who use it daily but I'd love at least 1 more BU.

Haha, that's awesome. Definitely selling the BP there.
I tried it out for the first time today. My complexion is generally not good, uneven, random redness and a little left over acne scarring. I tried the BP on without anything else and I'm really impressed with how even my skin looked. I feel like I'm going to use this every day when I don't want to use foundation (probably over foundation too).

BINGO!!!! on the BP That is exactly what it does
I LOVE your story
On second thought, I hope that guy wasn't a creepy axe murderer
MAC better make that beauty powder for WOC. Wowza!

My counter wouldn't allow prebuys for this collection and I am glad because there is nothing more disappointing them thinking items will be there and finding out they are not.
I had this problem twice with Stereo Rose and then Modern Mandarin. Luckily I managed to get them but had to scramble. I try to order online first and if I miss that I go to the store. Usually I can find what I want that way.

Got my nordies order with Beet and Legendary today. Legendary is seriously a mix between Immortal Flower and Launch Away!. Launch away is a touch lighter, Immortal flower is darker, more orange. It is closest to Launch away!.

Perfect...I have neither Immortal Flower or Launch Away. I wonder when I will get Legendary in the mail.
As a woman of color, I'm telling you it's working for me. I'm wearing it right now. I look rather fetching, if I say so myself, and I'm very shy and VERY self-critical. Another woman of color here on Specktra posted pics of herself wearing FM and TPC. I just got my TPC today and have not yet tried it.
I don't think so. I use P+P radiance as my primer and I have oily skin. It kind of dries to a matte finish. But then I always wear foundation so I don't know what it would look like w/o it.
Just got my Marilyn package. My thoughts:
LG looks very pink to me. I am nw20 btw. I love it! I don't think I have anything like it and I have quite a few lippies.
I absolutely love the e/s I got (PB and Showgirl). I started to have low expectations with these but I think they are pigmented and smooth. PB is whiter than UD Sin and Showgirl is very similar to Love Lace.
I can't wait for Legendary and then I will be done!

I may have seen that pic. I'll have to go back and search through the threads. Which could take forever w/ Marilyn. LOL
eta: I didn't find any pics. Let me know if I missed one posted somewhere.
Hmm, that's confusing. It's called Radiance, but it dries to a matte finish? I have oily skin, too, so I'm glad to hear it, but I was looking for something to make me glow. (And not in my greasy, looking like I'm sweating kind of way.)
I agree! I think it's a beautiful shade and looks great on a range of skin tones from deep to fair.

Thanks for posting the link. I clicked on it (sheer curiosity!) and of course the lipsticks and beauty powder are gone!

So I guess I should share my MM story as well: I called and ordered with a counter on the 2nd..the girl told me that they would ship out from her store or another store as soon as the collection launched on thursday. Took my credit card info and all....I called today because I had no charges, and had not recieved any follow up calls. Lo and Behold my order had never been placed and no blush and lippie are coming my way...
The counter assistant offered to take my order on replishnment products and add some free "goodies" to my box...but I wanted Marilyn not perm products and not dupes of marilyn. She was very hospitable and kept apologizing...but Im sad cause I was really excited and thought I had gotten my hands on the two things I wanted....to only be disappointed
O well..its just makeup.
Oh no. I'm sorry that happened. I hope you can still get what you want from somewhere else.

I think it's luvlydee's pics. I just linked to the WOC thread because it was easier. http://www.specktra.net/t/180143/woc-mac-marilyn/150#post_2281718

I got my Beauty Powder from my daughter and I'm going to try it tomorrow when I do a full face of makeup. I'm excited to see how it turns out.
I looked back the last few pages but couldn't find anything..what are you complaining about? I know MAC Customer Service is usually quite good (at least it is in the US), so they probably want you to know that they're taking your concerns seriously.
Ya'll - FYI:
I chatted w/MAC and asked about duplicates for MM lipsticks.
I only asked about 2 - DA and Charmed I'm Sure.
For DA the MUA said to mix Diva + Russian Red and use Redd as a l/l. The MUA also noted that if you did not want to mix, then use Dubonnet l/s - it is close to DA.
For CIS: use Redd l/l all over lip with Russian Red on top.
My sister mixed RR and Diva and said yes, the result looks like DA.
Neither one of us has tried the RR + Redd l/l look yet.
Just sayin'!
