I tried talking to an MUA about this collection but they were "sworn to secrecy".. In a nutshell, she thinks it's great overall and will be gone in "5 minutes"...This is at a counter where they still have HC collection in stock including Venus and Fire Sign and all the blushes and MSFS. She said it is a great collection and everything was lovely. She also said most counters are going to have events and that it launches in Sept and I may want to call end of august to see when it's coming out for sure (for the event and possibly preorders). This was at the Bay here!

 

I posted my list earlier in this thread. I'm usually good at sticking to my list. Makes budgeting much easier. :-)

Tx baghdad81! I'll be stalking the MAC site by the end of September if not the week before the end. I refuse to miss out on the items I want.

 

My store doesn't do pre orders :( I really hope I don't lose out on  anything. Hopefully I can get it online. If not, I'll be going into work late that day.

When you pre-order do you call the store and ask them to reserve the products in advance? Do the counters do that too? It will be so much of a hassle to get all of my lipsticks online.

 

I would go to your favorite store and/or counter and speak to a MUA (or the manager) directly. If they know your face, it shouldn't be a problem at all. After all, you help them to meet their sales targets. :)

Have any of you seen how the packaging for the Marilyn Monroe collection looks like? my sister sent me a few pictures she found online i believe originally from a MAC MA who received samples of the collection.. not 100% sure if they are just some sorta of manufacturing process for the products or if is actually going to be the actual packaging for the collection coming up in October. I have saved the pictures. not sure how to put them up thou:(

I am thinking the VP platinum shadow and the BP are my only have to have items.  Of course, swatches could influence me to sway from my current determination to resist.

I don't come on for a week & a half...come to find out I missed out on yet another Chanel drool worthy lipstick, Excessive! I'm so pissed right now.

I decided to skip this collection and hope that Christmas will be awesome!!

I am pretty excited about this collection... I dont know if its because of the color story or the packaging...I am a sucker for packaging, especially if its something extra glam

The great thing with Chanel is that they always bring out great, drool worthy shades. I am sure with the new Rouge Allures you'll find one.

 

I agree. Chanel always brings amazing shades to the table. I'm sure Spanky won't be disappointed w/ the next round.

It took me a couple hours but I read the entire thread and my must have list  has changed a couple of times. I must admit I am disappointed in the packaging though it was not what I was expecting.

I am feeling the same way, except I can't say no to the beauty powder or the VP e/s.  Luckily I don't think they will sell out *quite* as fast as the lippies and blushers...
