Sigh... The fact that she links the video for Headhunter almost made me want it, but it's way too warm for me... I'm just patiently waiting until the whole collection arrives here. By then, I will have seen so many swatches and gotten so excited about even the things that I can't wear, it'll be pretty ugly when I get to the counter...

Hi Michelle, Nora, Elegant, Bis friends.gif

Anneri, you think the RCs are drying? I've just rediscovered my RA Velvet, and matte texture wise, I think I prefer NARS' pencil matte one (albeit the sharpening). The RA matte is drying my lips.

Oooh... I want Vertigo!!! I guess I do have an unhealthy addiction towards Chanel np girlhaha.gif

Oh and I love Chanel's single e/s. Well, I only have two, Safari and Fauve, but they are my most worn out e/s.

Hi Cutie!

Yes, for me the RCs are drying. Not drying like some mattes can be drying, but not especially comfortable to wear. Before I wear the RA Velvets, I must be careful to prep my lips beforehand. But somehow, I expect that with mattes, so I may be more lenient towards the mattes in general.

Texturewise I like the Nars mattes a lot, also MACs new matte lippies and the Mattenes. But with the RCs, that's something I want to throw on without any hassle, kwim?

Cute, it depends on the shade in fact. Some are drying, others are not. Destinée is not while Chintz is. Clearly the Rouges Coco are great but not moisturizing formulas. Clinique has good moisturizing lippies but they don't wear very long, the Rouges Coco do. UD lipsticks are not drying at all, I have Gash and Runaway Red both are good. They last well with a primer, without not so much.

Hi Richelle83!!  wavey.gif  Seems we have similar tastes (Inglot.....)......

Kate, love the pic!  I think many of us can relate to THAT feeling!! girlhaha.gif

Almandine looks gorgeous - I hadn't even given that formula a second glance.  What a gorgeous color!!

And she has my Complice!  pompom.gif

Got the quad, blush, and lip pencil. LOVE the quad... I love the idea of one shimmer in a sea of mattes.girlhaha.gif That blush is BEYOND. Fabulous! And I love the pencil because it screams Autumn.

The rest of that stuff was a pass for me. I need Chanel to lay off the glitter. Seriously. Big silver chunks are just not cute, ever.

I like how Caprice swatches. I hope it is a milky pink on my lips.

I loved Caprice and it was milky pink but, it did separate on my lips. I didn't end up getting it.

Can someone compare Caractere and NARS Vandanges for me, please? I think they could be dupes.

I believe someone said they were similar (although it might have been in another thread). If they are, I suppose it would save me some money.

Here's a comparison of Frenzy and Suspicious (looks like Essie in Plumberry is a dupe) - also Diwali: http://polishorperish.blogspot.com/2012/07/chanel-comparisons-diwali-frenzy.html.

I checked out the collection today.  I passed on everything for now.  I do love Sweet Beige and may buy another at some point.  I wanted the Sequin Beiges highlighter but it really looked like nothing on me.  I may end up getting Vertigo and Frenzy at some point but I really was in no mood for fall colors just yet.  I don't know why they couldn't have waited until August.  Of course they had no Diwali or Fleur de Lotus or Riviere.  Those are the other items on my Chanel shopping list.

^ Ty Jxroxy.. I can't see any difference either.. and the savings is chunky.

I forgot to look at that one.  I just ordered Sterling Caviar Stick from Laura Mercier so I probably wouldn't have bought it anyway.

I heard that its really pretty sheered out or lined with the bottom liner. Hard to say for me without seeing it in person.

Hi,

Hope this helps..sorry the photo is watermarked - hope that's okay....

I found the two shades similar...NARS is a bit sheerer, has no shimmer, and looks a little darker.  Chanel's version seem a bit more opaque, in comparison, and lighter perhaps because of the shimmer.

I love that lipstick, I'm really into neutral shades like that recently.

Just reposting here. The products used in the makeup are from this collection. Very pretty! There is the Furtif eyeshadow that seems to be missing at the counters at the moment.

Thanks for the swatches, I am liking how Charactere looks smiles.gif

Yes " Vendanges " looks darker but sheer too, " Caractère " looks pretty too. Thanks for posting

Hmmm...what's the nude-ish lipstick?

Thanks very much! They are similar, but they don't look exactly the same. I'll have to see in person, of course, but I like these sorts of shades enough that I don't mind having fairly close variants.

No idea. The post said to stay tune for details on the makeup. Perhaps cafemakeup would write about it too.

Thank you for posting this!

Unfortunately I like both shades very much - I've yet to decide which one will be coming home with me!

Oh, I didn't like it at all. It was not smooth to me... it went on like chunky glitter. I was very disappointed.

No I don't think they could be dupes. Vendanges has a sheer texture and Rouge Coco is creamy texture ( more or less I agree ), Vendanges is not really moisturizing but probably more than Caractère. Above all both are different in terms of texture ( I haven't Caractère yet but I do have Vendanges, Destinée and Culte ). Vendanges is great ( sheer and deep raisin at the same time ).

I have both Nars Vendages and Chanels Caractere...I find them similar, but also unique enough  to own both................the Nars is a true raisin, and is a sheer sweep of colour, while the Chanel one is a creamy, sparkly plum..

Hi Miss QQ -- I've been out of town for a while on a shopping trip.  I checked online and my package is supposed to arrive tomorrow (Thursday).  I can't wait.  I will keep you posted about the blush and the RAEG!

Hi Bis!  I'm doing great.  Just got back into town today from a girls trip.  Now I am exhausted but need to gear up for our 4th of July celebration :)  I will definitely have to look more into the e/s singles.  They do look gorg!

Hi Astrid!  Well looks like I need to start collecting single e/s, too.  Great!  Just what I need  haha :)
