Mademoiselle is not close to Caractère at all in fact. Mademoiselle is rosy,

Vanessa Paradis wearing Mademoiselle, THE Rouge Coco every woman wanted to have at that time ( very pretty though, classy )

I went to Nordies today to check out the collection and they had the fake display out and it was kind of busy at the counter so I didn't stick around to ask when the real products would be in.

After seeing swatches of the highlighter I think I'm going to love it, nothing else interest me.

Just got my Furtif & Infini. I love both of them a lot. Infini is so light & pretty but does have some Fairy dust fall out.  Furtif is so glamorous beautiful on! I think it may be my new favorite es.

Christine reviewed the highlighter with a B but I rarely ever agree with her ratings because they come across bias to me. Of course there are certain skin tone/types the powder is not going to work for but that doesn't make the product "bad"

I still want the powder and pretty sure I'll be happy with it because it's what I prefer in a highlighter.

It is very skin tone dependent. I am super pale and it looked pretty bad on me.

See... now I'm wondering if it's indeed a batch issue. I went BACK and swatched that silver liner and it was still 'glittery' on me... not shimmery at all. Ditto for those lipsticks (I had to go back and make sure I wasn't nuts LOL).

I LOVE the quad. I know I'm in the minority too. It's my second favorite part of the collection, behind the blush... which I feel is truly the crown jewel.

This is added to my shopping list for the event at my counter this weekend--which I managed to snag an appointment for, before my hubby takes me out to dinner;). I just hope it's available there. I didn't look for it but I was distracted by the Illusion de ombrés that day. And the fact I was supposed to be shopping for window treatments. :guilty face:

Aw, I like her, even if we often disagree on ratings. It seems the downgrade was for the powderiness, not the color (I don't find that she grades based on whether a color is flattering to her). She gave the Routes des Indes de Chanel Illuminating Powder an A.

I just realized what it made my skin look like - the skin tone of those cheap plastic kewpie dolls! I kid you not. rofl.gif

^^ Oh dear!  Kewpie doll LOL :)   I was wearing my new MAC Venus lippie today and I thought of you (I think I remember you saying how much you loved it).

I need the plum RC and extrait de gloss for fall!

Furtif was the shade I was most interested in from this collection. Now I'm all the more excited. Does it look like anything else you have in your collection?

I don't think so & its buttery smooooooth. There is something about the actual color tone of this shade that is incredibly flattering & beautiful on. Its elegant looking.

lol.gif What a visual right. Miss you. Oh, Venus is beautiful on. I'm glad you got it. Did you get anything else? I am going to get the plum ls & gloss too.

Can you believe Venus is the only thing I got from Heavenly Creatures?  I haven't checked it out in person, which I need to do this week.  But I did send my hubs to pick up Venus on his way home from work (he just loves doing that kind of stuff, lol).  I wasn't sure about Charactere RC and the plum gloss (forgot the name) at first, but once I saw swatches I knew they would be mine for fall eyelove.gif   For now I am running around with hot pink lips and sunglasses  in this blaring heat!!

Funny enough Michelle, I went to check out Heavenly Creatures and walked right past the Chanel counter.  I'm not sure whether we have the fall collection here or not, but I didn't even stop to check.  I'm regretting that decision now, I wanted to at least have a look at the blush.  I did end up with my largest MAC haul in a very long time (picked up Ring of Saturn and Supernova (?) MB's, Meteoric gloss and the navy blue liner from Hey Sailor).  Maybe it's a good thing I didn't stop at Chanel, lol!

^^Hi Nora!  I still want to check out some of the glosses from Heavenly Creatures for sure.  I have been neglecting the MAC collections of late.  But I am in love with Venus l/s and it looks gorgeous with Pinkarat glossimer on top!

You should definitely check out the new Chanel blush.  It is so pretty!  I still need another RC and gloss from the collection, but I'm trying to pace myself LOL

The powder was kind of ashy so not getting it after all. This collection is a skip for me.

Yes, I thought the texture was very nice on the anniversary quad with really great color payoff.

I am SO dumb! You know how they have the fake highlighter "tester" - yeah, I tried to swatch from it amuse.gifrofl.gif

I did the same thing LOL!

I really want to get that one.

edit: hm, I googled it and it seems that it's not a new shade?

Love Evanescente.  I keep eyeing Furtif.  I think it is meant to be.

I thought I could skip this blush since I bought Tumulte.  Is it really that different?

Okay, I think I'm going to have to get Furtif.

I keep getting the quad from this collection and the Nordies one confused.  I guess I will have to check out both on Friday.

Venus and Pinkarat!  Ooh that combo sounds so pretty!  Oh no another rave for the blush.

Furtif is beautiful on. I don't normally even wear those colors, but this one is done really well.

I know, pesky mundane household needs always seem to get in the way. But I manage to find the time for the important stuff smiles.gif

I didn't get Charactere but I did give it some love time lol. It's so pretty, I love the way it shImmers a bit (Chanel seems to have a lock on gorgeously eyelove.gif shimmery things without ever going 'too much', I've noticed?)

and isn't too dark (for me personally- out of comfort zone) and I think it will be a perfect fall shade. I will be getting it next time I'm fairly sure. I think it will be a very pretty work-safe shade. But that title doesn't do it justice! It's not boring.

It is embarrassing how many times I have worn that combo since last week!  LOL  Yes, the blush is very pretty! heart.gif

I stopped at the Chanel counter to take another look at Furtif.  I also looked at Infini.  I'm convinced I must have something similar.  I have to check my stash.  I'm thinking one of my Mac shadows but I know it's not as shimmery.  Also, I'm thinking maybe one of the Summer Armani ETK - there were gray and blue shades.  I will look at those. Infini looked so pretty! Let's see if I can find a dupe before the Nordies sale which is the next time I expect to be at a counter.

BTW can anyone compare the gold shade?  I'm surprised there is a gold shade since I believe there was a gold shade in the last couple of collections.  I wonder how this one is different.

Just received my Noir Intense liner. Its a very elegant black. Ebene looks almost grey in comparison.

Ebene - left, NI - right
