I love the nails, but they are a bit much for me to wear. I don't get invited to those kind of parties. I like the look of Ruffian red, it looks almost like Port Red in the picture, but its hard to tell. If its an Amplified, meh. If its a frost, I am all over it. I am not needing any more matte type finish reds and don't won't to deal with uneven finish or that blotchy look I get from a lot of the Amplified finish lippies...there are plenty of gorgeous reds out there...

^ lol Amplified is my favorite finish from Mac ls. I want to see about this red ls,my spring haul arrived and i`m a little disappointed in runway red, it`s a wine color on my lips not really the red i saw on temptalia and other girls

Lol, same here.

Would people wear these nails, for say a week? or do you just kind of apply them for one night and take them off?

I remember back in the 80's having a set for halloween (dressed as the ubiquitous 'witch', but at that time they had that horrible glue...

Anyway, a much as i admire the done up nail trend, (especially the lace and velvet ones we saw a while back) i find it looks way too overdone on me...so i will have to admire from afar!

WANT!!!

I wish I can get the black nail set this week, as I am attending a state convention this upcoming weekend. Looks like I will have to DIY the gold French manicure.

I have enough nudes and browns, so I'm hoping to get the red and gold (hope gold is not those troublesome glazes).

I think that's the idea. :-)

The gold lippie might be nice for the pool/beach and/or for layering.

I really want to pick up one of the lipsticks for collector's sake, but I never wear red lipstick, the nude doesn't look like it will be flattering (too light and grey for NC20) and I already have a gold layering lipstick (sunsational). I don't know what to do.

I am thinking the same. but I still haven't use Warp Speed, I guess I could be layering that puppy to make me some nice summery frosty lips...

It sounds like you should get the red one, then, since it'll be the most "collectible" color out of the three, plus you don't have a bunch of reds already. Who knows, it might look great on you and you'll be a red convert!

On the other hand, if you really don't feel like you'd use any of them anyhow, you could always skip the whole thing and use your savings on upcoming collections that are more your style. That's what I'm probably going to do, even though the nail sets are a bit tempting.

Thanks for the advice. After reading it, your logic makes a lot of sense. I've owned Russian Red and So Scarlet (Cult of Cherry) in the past, but I ended up giving both away. I'll probably get Ruffian Red if I catch it in time, but if I miss it, I won't be heartbroken.
