Now I am getting very impatient. There was some sort of delay with UPS, and I won't be getting my black box for this collection until Monday.

nice pic lily green!
i'm loving layering ruffian gold with other lippies...today i'm wearing it mixed up with peace mirror shine by 17...i find using a lipbrush too finicky for me on a daily basis, so i've just been applying the gold first, adding a lipstick and smooshing it about.
I've been using the same technique.
Spanky, I love how you said that!

Yes I was hesitant about red lippies months ago and now I feel comfortable with red lipsticks now thanks to you. You help me boost my confidence to wear red lippies! :)

In a way it's good the subtle nuiances of color differences because than my DH doesn't think 'she bought another damn red lipstick'. Any time I wear a crazy, loud red my hubby says 'Ruby Woo?', I don't have the heart to say 'no'. Ruffian Red is the first he's noticed the difference in lately.

Hilarious! I always love it when men try to act/fake/try like they know what they're talking about when it comes to girl things. Its always funny. We had a thread about it awhile back that was totally funny.

I'm wondering, how do you know when you've found your HG/Holy Grail red? Or any other HG product for that matter? What makes it perfect?
I only have a few red lipsticks, and I think they all look good on me and compliment me. But how do I know if I may have already found my HG red and haven't realized it? Or is it just one of those "you'll know it when you find it" type of things? Lol, I hope my question makes sense! I'm curious to hear from everyone.
For me, a HG lipstick can be worn in most situations, from mundane to special occasions. I felt I put my best face forward when I use R1. I can imagine myself wearing it decades from now. HGs usually have a background story attached, like the first time worn and how it makes you beautiful and confident.
You cannot place a price on a HG. If you buy it at WalMart, you feel that it's worth much more. If you got it at Saks, it is a small price to pay for a treasure.
Hope this helps you.

Maneater, Amen on Eden Rouge! love ur name!
Just got ER at my CCO. I was glad to see I got it at a small discount because it's being repromoted this year. Wondering if I should get a BU with all these reds being released this year (yeah Marilyn!). It's my first mattene & it's awesome!!!
I wasn't so sure about Ruffian Red, because it's hard to tell with the lighting in my house. I was crestfallen, honestly, but I just tried on during the day & I think I like it! Anyone using a LL with it? Which one?
I don't know if I have HG red yet, but I love my Ruby Woo & Kanga Rouge.
I have 2 Runaway Reds & I tried it on once & didn't like it so much. So if anyone's interested PM me.
Eden Rouge is amazing. I've been dying for Kanga Rouge.

I know some people were wondering if Lady Danger looks like Ruffian Red but they are totally different. Lady Danger looks orange when swatched on the back of a hand but it is a bold, fire engine red once applied to the lips and it's semi-orange based. Ruffian Red is more of a sexy red w/ hints of blue in it (on my lips) but not a lot though. It's a true red. Below is a picture of Lady Danger on my lips. It's definitely not for the gals who don't like bold lippies... this is a hot color for the summer and I've sold this to many gals.. they love it and so do I !
Here's what Ruffian Red looks like on me:

Wish I was closer to my CCO because I could c if they still have one, but its quite far from my house. Do u have one near u? If so, u may want to give them a call & c if they have it. I'm not sure how many times they've released KR but I was able to get it in those Holiday Lip bags w/ a lipglass & mini NP.

Well, hubby does tell me what works & what doesn't so that is good. & he means the Ruby Woo comment in a very sincere, sweet way because he knows I'm having a flare up of MU obsession. My new love is HLs so he said to me last week 'ur HL looks really nice on you' (at least he has good taste, as I was wearing Superb <3)...
Now if I could just get him to occasionally surprise me with a MAC, Nordys or Sephora gift certificate. Does anyone know the spell for this???

Lisa, you've done many things that were above & beyond what I expected of anyone. You've also made multiple helpful suggestions to me & again I can't thank u enough! I was serious when I said I wanted to buy u a drink. Thanks for looking thru ur stash tho.
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say ur a super member of the Specktra junkies!

Bee, RR is so stunning on you! I love it.
Thanks for posting the comparison pictures of RR to all the other reds. I know u work for MAC. Generally speaking, how does Lady Danger look on NC20 (ish) girls? It looks great on you, but I have yet to try it on because I thought it pulled really orange on people. I would love an orange (ish) color but it has to have a lot of red in it.
Also, does anyone know how much orange influence is in Scarlet Ibis? I missed it during the IA launch & was very disappointed. I saw Pinkdlollface's picture comparisons on the Marilyn thread but you couldn't really tell the difference btw SI & SLV (which did not work on me, I think the shade of orange was just wrong, wrong, wrong).
One more ? before my battery dies...is anyone pairing a LL with RR. Curious as to what u all have found works nicely with it.
AS ALWAYS TIA!

Thank you!! And Lady Danger is actually popular among customers in the 10's and 20's foundation shade ranges (at my counter), so I think you'll love it! If the natural pigmentation of your lips shows any pink or red (mine are red) undertones to them, then it will look the same on you as it does on me... probably a tad brighter since fairer skin tones bring out red in the lipstick. The lighter you are, the better Lady Danger looks... not saying darker gals can't wear them (because I'm NW43 and I can rock Lady Danger alone) but I would recommend this color to gals in the 10's and 20's ranges before doing so for 30's and 40's. SO YES !!! Definitely go and check it out. And I agree with you, I like an orange-ish color but it has to have tons of red in it. I'm not a fan of full on orange lip colors.

Weird, Ruffian doesn't show up on the MAC front page under any listing.
So i type in Ruffian in the search box on the front page, i get a link to the Ruffian collection, and when i type on it i get sent back to the MAC front page
When i use a link from another page, i get the Ruffian splash page, but nothing is clickable...

Right? I thought they'd be sold out by now. Well, I guess it's a good thing because I need BUs of RG! I think I love it more than RR. Who would've thought? RG wasn't even on my list at all to begin with!

At first I was only focusing on getting Ruffian Red l/s only but when the enablement began for Ruffian Gold l/s, I added that to my list as well so I'm happy to have both of them!
