I'm brunette, and I did the same LOL

I had been hoping we might get the gold one in time for the summer holidays, as it looks fabulous over different colours in all these swatches.  Oh well.

That would have been nice!

It doesn't feel like summer in my area.  It's done nothing but rain for nearly a month now.  It's actually so dark outside I had to put a light on.

I definitely plan on wearing RG in the winter holidays though!

We've had lots of rain and wind here lately too (yet we still have a hosepipe ban - go figure!) but today is hot and sunny.  Way too hot in fact, the weather report online says 28 degrees!  It's supposed to cool down again tomorrow, thank goodness, so I'm leaving it until then to go shopping or the frozen stuff would be thawed by the time I walked home.  I hate the heat, and stay out of the sun as much as possible.

Oh wow, we have the total opposite at the moment.  Funny that considering how small the UK is.  It's a down pour.  I was supposed to go to a friends across town but there is no way I'm standing in this weather for a bus.  I'd be soaked to the skin in minutes.  I also hate the heat, though.  I'd much rather be cold than too hot and the sun just gives me a headache.

I got Ruffian Red yesterday, and I love it! It's the perfect red for me and is bright without being too much. I am now contemplating the gold, but I'm not sure how much I would use it. I have so many MAC lipsticks by now.

We've also had a nice "summer" so far. Last night it was sleeting up North!

I couldnt really capture the great effect it has over the lipsticks (if you enlarge it you can see it more clearly )

Those are great swatches!  This thread made me cave and order RG.  Well, and the email with the free shipping may have swayed me a little.  I can't wait to try it over Spitfire and VGNicki and Watch Me SHimmer!

I didnt even think of trying it over WMS. I will have to try that today or tomorrow.

I updated my avatar and I'm wearing Ruffian Red in the pic. You can just click the photo to make it bigger. I'm not sure if it's my HG red since I only have a few, but it's pretty dang close!

I only have two red lip pencils for now - MAC Auburn and NYX Hot Red. I wanted to keep the color of Ruffian Red as pure as possible, so I opted not to use them. I felt they would've altered the color tone too much. So I opted for a brown liner instead. I used NYX Chocolate just to outline my lips, then I applied the lipstick. I added Ruffian Gold in the center of my bottom lip with a lip brush. I didn't want to get red lipstick all over my gold one. I didn't add any gloss because I liked the matte finish.

I would love to see MAC make more lipsticks like Ruffian Gold except with different colors for the sparkles. Red. Pink. Purple. The layering possibilities over other lipsticks would be endless. I really like how I was able to add a sparkle effect without the use of a gloss. It allowed me to maintain the matte finish I wanted with a little extra umph.

we had crazy rain and thunder storms yesterday! it was insane! but then it went super sunny and hot.... and then the sky went black again. did it all day!

We had thunderstorms and rain all day yesterday until about 6pm - yet still super humid.  Then it went sunny and hot.  It's now dark grey skies all over again - I'm sensing a pattern!

I bought a BU of RR but thinking that I should have done that with the gold as well.

I just read that this collection will NOT come to the netherlands. I'm so happy purplerinne is sending RR and RG to me and that i'm not missing out!

I think the same thing! It's such a nice color I have RR but haven't tried it on yet just admired it outside the box lol but if the color doesn't make me look washed out I'll deff get a BU of it as well as Ruffian Gold because it's hard for me to pull off red I only have Lady Danger, all my lippies are basically pink

 Wasn`t this collection even available at Douglas in the Netherlands?

Thank you!!! I'm extremely camera shy. But there was something about RR and RG that made me want to take a picture of it.

Now I am wondering if I should get RR?  (and while at it, BU of RG).  Runaway Red really meets my needs in the Red lippy dept.
