I finally made Runaway Red work for me. I'm very excited, as it did not work by itself. I'm drawing a blank on the LL I used with it, but it made a huge difference. I still don't need a BU of it that I have but I'm definitely going to be wearing it come fall & winter or just strikes me to wear it.

I did BU RG, just because I feel like it's going to be nice to switch up some lippies when I get bored, whether I'll actually make it thru an entire tube of it, I doubt it, but just in case...

Yes, thank you...that helps, but it doesn't help that I can make a lot of reds work for me. Nudes, no way. Pinks, not a lot of 'em, but reds...yes! I guess that's what happens when u start off wearing red in middle school.

OMG, I know this is late but I love, love, love Ruffian Gold.  And since I decided to give Earthshine a try, RR made it into my cart as well.  I see a Fall trend for lots of different red and crimson lips, so I will get lots of use out of RR and Runaway Red--oops, both of those would be RR, so I guess RuffR and RnwyR???

I know I'm kinda late. I got the red and gold. Man, the red is def in your face whooooweee. This is only my second red. It's a vibrant cherry red on me. The gold is FAB for layering. It's stunning over the red! I'm still not used to the boldness so it helps tone it down. It does give it more of a orange tint with it over it. I find the gold makes it less drying on my super dry lips. It's not gritty at all.

Right?! I was like man, with all the HC craziness going on this got lost.

I'm still getting used to red lips. So I'm a lil scared of it coming out this fall

I got Red Racer from Hey Sailor. Do I still need Ruffian Red? Are they quite different? Does anyone have both? TIA!

Singer82, I don't have many red l/s eitther. I love bright lipsticks. "A vibrant cherry red" sounds tempting. ;)

A bright yellow-red lipstick in matte finish sounds good. Hope it will stay long at the MAC website.  My wallet needs time to recover from the Heavenly Creature collection. Here is Ruffian Red over Redd lipliner. It's gorgeous! The eye and face makeup are from earlier today, so they don't fit too well with the lipstick, but I wanted to try it.

And here is Ruffian Gold over it. I love this even more!

i feel like i can wear RG over anything so i got a BU. Over pinks...purples...wow even on its own

Ruffian Gold over Heroine is also quite lovely!  I imagine it's quite lovely over just about....everything.  I've been contemplating getting Ruffian Red, but I think Russian Red is a little more me and I can get that one anytime.

I'm going to return Ruffian Naked. It just doesn't work for me. There's something about this particular nude shade that doesn't compliment me at all. It looks so pasty. In contrast, Innocence, Beware! looks fine on me. Maybe there's too much white in Ruffian Naked for my skin tone. I tried various brown liners and I have to alter the color way too much to make it wearable on me. I prefer using liners to get a more polished lip look, so that's not the issue. I just don't like having to change the color so much to get it to look right. What's the point of me buying that lipstick shade if it no longer looks like that shade when I wear it?! I also don't want to have to put gloss over it to get it to look right. I think the lipstick should look good on its own and the gloss adds something extra to make it even more special. The lipstick shouldn't "need" a gloss to look right. Ah well.

I could probably trade with someone if they're interested. It's been swatched on the lips a few times in my attempts to get it to work. But seeing how it's still available on the US website, I think it'll just be returned.

Update: It's been deleted from my Favourites as well - it's as if it never existed. I was trying to see if it could be accessed that way for re-order. Nope. Well, that sucks. I'm sorry that you missed RG.

Does anyone know if the Ruffian collection will return to Canada? I would love to get Ruffian Red and Gold.
