Here's another fluidline fanatic! I have Blacktrack, Avenue, Dark Envy, Dark Diversion, Midnight Blues, Ash Violet, Added Goodness, Midnight Snack, and Wholesome. I plan to get Dipdown soon, and possibly Macroviolet and Waveline. I've put those shades on hold since they're permanent. I so want to get my hands on Siahi. I saw it on the MAC Canadian website and tried to place a phone order for it, but their phone inventory is sold out.

The funny thing is, I initially passed on Midnight Snack and Wholesome from the Shop/Cook collection. The colors looked dull and kind of blah to me at first sight. But as I started doing more makeup looks, I realized I wanted something that wasn't black, but also not a strong, bold color. I'm glad I picked them up.

At first I didn't think I needed to BU fluidlines, but now I'm wondering if I should since it seems like new colors don't come out that often.

Hm... the 90s was actually a pretty creative time for makeup, as much as it was pretty stagnant among big companies. I'll be curious to see how it gets reinterpreted... That said, I don't really like bright eyeliner on me. I find it ALWAYS looks washed out. I've no idea why!

EDIT: I should add that my preferred version of the 90s was the earlier part with the dark lips/ nails (Chanel Vamp!) and black eyeliner. The later bit with the brown lipstick or the scary dark lip liner over nude lips just scares me.

The big companies were doing pretty boring stuff during the 90's for sure. Every now and then Chanel or Shiseido would come up with something, but it was pretty few and far between.

HOWEVER! To me, the 90's meant MAC, Urban Decay, Shu Uemura, Poppy King (who does Lipstick Queen now), Face Stockholm - it was a real Renaissance of indie makeup.

The dark liner over nude lips is a frightening thing, but I bet it'll come back in style. I will admit, I recently re-watched The Mask and young Cameron Diaz was ROCKING the dark liner/paler lip look. However, she was already amazingly beautiful, plus she was lavished with the best makeup artistry Hollywood could afford. It did make her lips look extra luscious, but the liner wasn't that much darker than the lipstick and was blended in well. For the more retarded 90's lip liner look, rewatch Showgirls some time - you will laugh a lot!

If you did not get eden rouge when it first released...I strongly recommend it if you like the mattene finish. I find that mattes are a little too much for me, but this lipstick is a beautiful red and my HG red lipstick.

I googled Eden Rouge to see what it looked like and it turns out that Delectable was in the same collection last year. I don't know if anyone else has posted about finding swatches but it looks way prettier than it's orange beige description would lead you to believe. How are the Mattenes? I've never tried one and am curious.

I have and love Delectable! One of my favorite lipsticks ever! It's a lovely peach ^^ I have swatches on my blog (if you are interested you can search for Posh paradise )... seriously, an amazing lipstick, matte with a soft texture

Thanks for the link! I think it's a beautiful colour on you, but sadly too warm for my complexion.

I have to be careful with the Mattenes, I'm not sure what it was, every color I tried on looked "old ladyish" especially the red one, it was a nasty brick red on me. LOL

yes, that's true it's very warm! Probably the nude in this collection is a cool one instead... I want another mattene but don't know which one ^^

I have issues with Delectable. So difficult to put on. But I usually always have issues with the texture of light coral-ish lippies. I have to try D on again. At least I get to see the colour. In wintertime it's so difficult to see colours properly!

lol...maybe it's the texture? i find that with some red lippies...

i find peachy/coral colours also do that to me...

It must be the texture (I refuse to believe I am getting old LOL), cuz you all know how much I love my Runaway red.

ITA--love, love, love Eden Rouge and the new formula on these mattenes.  I really like the Naked Bliss and Seeds of Desire from Posh Paradise.

These sparked my interest as well...

mattene lipstick:  fun finds- light nude pink, delectable -orange beige, camden chic- rich brick red

lipglass restless- dark burnt bronze

powder blush worldly wealth - shimmer peachy bronze (f), supercontinental -bright cute coral (s)

Fluidline

local wares - mid-tone olive with multi dimensional pearlized pigments

I am really liking the theme to this collection, I bet the promo pix will be interesting.

I also have to say that I'm curious to know what a "cute" coral is. Are other corals homely?

maybe it has a slightly apricoty kinda feel...like it should be in the quite cute collection....

(instead of like the super saturated red corals that were last year...or the reddy pink corals of this year...

it's a pretty strange description for mac....

My first guess is it's just a typo - they've happened before. But then I start trying to figure out what word it could be instead, and I'm stumped.

I will probably buy:

Mattene lipstick

Fun Finds- Light nude pink

Eyeshadow duo

Culturalized Eye - Soft creamy beige (s) / Mid-tone neutral gold (lustre)

On The Hunt  - Bronzed red (f) / Bronze violet (vp)

Powder blush

Worldly Wealth - Shimmer peachy bronze (f)

Supercontinental - Bright cute coral (s)

Maybe cool coral?

I love the colors in this collection but I am not too excited about the name.  Should we play a drinking game everytime a product is named Fashion something or Style something?  IF the whole collection is named Style something or Fashion something, drink the whole keg/bottle/pitcher.

Now I feel sorry for the homely corals.
