I feel a 2nd order is eminent and WW will be coming soon. I can't get on the HT bandwagon though. It will just look like a bruise on my cheek, I know that. Merrily is my go to when I want that strong brick red blush look.

Yeahh! I got my HT It's sooo pretty! It arrived safely and un-mutilated! The little sticker the destination warehouse prints off the morning it's out for delivery had one number difference on my address. The other label (that Nordstrom created) was correct and not peeled off or anything!
It's in the same family as Outlaw, but I haven't tried HT on yet. I've been wearing Outlaw all week, though. I looove it, especially topped with Blonde msf.

Soooooo, I was planning on skipping all the blushes in this collection since I've purchased 14 MAC powder blushes this year alone (and that doesn't include MB, MSF/Pearlmatte that can be used as blushes or other brands)! I honestly don't even need any more blushes this year (or in this lifetime) but I can't resist....Gotta hit up Nordies while they still have them in stock.
Which of the three blushes are MUST HAVES? For ref, I am usually NC25-30 (should be losing my summer NC35 skin soon). TIA!

Idk if I neeeeed Worldly Wealth, but my lemm goat is certainly butting me, now that I see that it's selling out. I DO adore my Pressed Amber that I got from my CCO a couple months ago, and that is more of a neutral brown, so I might stick with that. Nothing against the orange of WW, but I think Pressed Amber just works better for me and my coloring.
I'm so happy with HT! Since I know I don't need that much to apply it, I'm skipping a BU. I hope I don't regret it! But Outlaw is certainly gorgeous and is permanent, so if I ever need to replace a used up reddish blush, at least there's always NARS.

I got Hidden Treasure because it was unique in my stash, Outlaw blush aside. I don't own many reddened blushes, so I felt it was welcome fare. Supercontinental I bought because my coral blush stash is overflowing and rampant, but I can never have enough peaches and corals. Worldly Wealth I skipped out for reasons above, but I think it would be quite gorgeous on darker complexions versus my sheet-white fair skin! Mac-Guy already recommended WW as being his pick for the most unique blush in this collection. It's all up to you! But I do feel that all three would work across skintones, though I feel WW and HT especially would work for your skintone :)

Duckrodeo, if you already have Earthshine and that works for you, WW will give you a little different effect, but the two are pretty closely related. I loved WW's texture, but the color was dirty on me the way Earthshine was. I had to pass, even with loving the metallic sheen it has, but it might be the fall version of ES.

Ahhh that made my lemm dwindle. Thanks! LOL. I also remembered Temptalia said WW is close to Glorify and that is very easy for me to sheer out and give a glow, without being dirty. I do love Earthshine, but only if I'm going for the super dramatic full-on contour look. It's a great shade, but also not a look I go for on the day-to-day. If I want to do a light contour I use my Lancome matte bronzer or Pressed Amber!

They had a lot of Pressed Amber, as well as all the bronzers from Surf Baby! I was surprised. I contemplated getting two PA, but I don't forsee ever running out of a mineralized cheek product, since less is used versus an MSF or even a regular blush, so I just picked the best swirl I could find and bought the one. I wish my CCO wasn't almost an hour away. This time of year it's best I stay away because it's back-to-school and that outlet mall gets super crazy busy!

Personally I thought T was on crack to compare WW to Glorify. Glorify is so sheer and reflective and with a very different cast, more yellow and orange. WW was a more neutral brown with a tarnished bronze gold metallic sheen. It's also very pigmented. I suppose if your cheeks are already quite orangey, WW could look more orange? Temptalia's photos looked quite orange compared to what I saw when I tried it on myself.
I did reserve a WW, but then I passed on it. Here's hoping MAC does something with a similar sheen but more of a brown like Equilibrium, which is one of my all time faves!
WW is not showing up on me. My cheeks are dry and irritated right now so that might be it... but it could just be to golden brown for me. It gave me a lil sheen, but that's about it.
Hidden Treasure... now that makes my skin look irritated for real. I will not be able to wear that without having perfect skin. The red plus my hyperpigmented cheek looks like I have a sunburn or bad peel, or just really bad skin. On me, it is almost like it is missing something. It is like it needs a dab of pink or even plum to make it a perfect, just came in from the Hayride/Campfire effect. I kinda want to put WW on top of HT to see what I come up with.

I actually tried that combo in-store. It might help a bit. For me WW was kind of meh, but Hidden Treasure looks awesome.
It sounds like Stubborn from Office Hours is going to be everything that HT wasn't for you - you've seen the link to the swatches in its thread, right?
I am about to go now. But I was thinking earlier that Office Hours might have a blush for me. I remembered someone saying they had a dark color Thank you Liba! BTW, I think it is funny how we have similiar issues with colors, even though we are on opposite ends of the color wheel =), it sounds like we have similar undertones.
Ok, I just went to go look.. I WANT THEM ALL!!! they swatch better than tres cheek. There seems to be some color dupes in there. Some of those were a lil to chalky on me. Eternal Sun, and Stubborn look like my WW and HTreasure. but I bought Nars Outlas, and might not need Stubborn.
Do they glosses look like any might be dupes for the HCreature dupes? I am about half way through meteroic... Ok, maybe 3/4's. I run right through CSG's. I don't know why I keep buying them.

Because they're beautiful? They're certainly my favorite glosses, with the perfect ratio of pigment and sheerness for my taste. Because they're more expensive, it seems like MAC is also more willing to bring them out in more experimental and classier colors, too.
As for our similar product needs, it just goes to show how the undertones are more important than the darkness or lightness, especially when it comes to the ones that make us look drab and elderly vs. the ones that pop and create that special radiance. Maybe we're also in the same age bracket too? That sure as heck can make for some similarities. This is the sort of thing I love about makeup and Specktra too!!!
Edit: Also, that swatch of Stubborn looks like a cross between HT and Vintage Grape to my eyes. If I didn't have 'em both, I'd be all over it day one.

I would layer it over an MSF. If you have an Earthshine that has a lot of burgundy, it should look gorgeous.
Sigh.
So much for staying away from MAC before By Request arrives here. I just noticed Styleseeker had magically appeared on the Douglas website and ordered Supercontinental, Dark Diversion and Local Wares. Ah well
I'm now wondering whether I should have ordered Eden Rouge and Restless too. I already have Red Racer and judging by the swatches Eden Rouge is fairly similar. But then again I love the texture of Mattenes....

I just ordered Hidden Treasure on the Douglas website but Supercontinental was already sold out >< so on Monday I'm going to Amsterdam to visit the Bijenkorf counter (unless Douglas will restock it in the next few days but I doubt that). So weird that a couple of items are more expensive on the MAC website, it's just a euro but I'm not going to pay that when I know it's cheaper somewhere else!
Crikey! I never realised some items were more expensive on MAC's own website. I always try my luck at Douglas first anyway, but that's only because I can collect loyalty points. Plus, they ship a lot quicker than MAC (it took MAC a week to even ship my HC goodies). From now on I'll now pay more attention to the prices too. Thanks for the heads up! :)
I'm very surprised Supercontinental has sold out on the Douglas website though. They probably received very little stock. Perhaps De Bijenkorf will have it online soon? Either way, I'm sure you'll be able to get your hands on it, online or at a physical store. It's early days yet :)

I think it's the first time some of the items are more expensive on the MAC website, well.. at least I've never noticed that before. I also always try Douglas first because of the loyalty points, free and fast shipping and the free samples! I will not buy from the Bijenkorf website, with their ridiculous shipping prices.. well maybe I'll order it and let it ship to the store so I can pick it up. But I really hope Douglas will restock SC in the next few days..
It's not the first time. The 167SH from Hey Sailor was €40 on Mac's site and €37 everywhere else and the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator was also one euro more on Mac's site. If I order online I also prefer douglas, but if de bijenkorf has something and douglas and my counter are sold out I use the pick up in store option from de bijenkorf and that's free. I haven't orderd from Mac's site yet, but I will soon when By Request comes out.

they really are! LOL
ITA! I'm in the 36-44 bracket.
Lol, that is so funny when I had HT on, I kept thinking about Vgrape. I LOVE VGrape. I can't wait to check out Stubborn.

Totally off-topic, but i was so excited Belgium finally has it's own MAC webshop, now i just found out i can't get my PRO discount online
I don't know if it's the same for other countries in the EU, i just think it's a bit silly. Seems i have no choice but continuing to visit the store, and i guess By Request will be full price for me.

Yes. Only the US has an Pro website.
Also your Pro ID is country-specific. While you can show your Pro card in a store to get your discount, they can't look you up by number. I always run into these issues when shopping abroad. ![]()

Really? I thought they could look you up. I forgot my Pro card at home when I was in Paris in April and I was able to give them my name and card# and they gave me the discount.
