My Hidden Treasure came today and it's GORGEOUS! But, boy is it pigmented - I tapped my 187 into it gently for each cheek and I still needed to blend it out!

Try the 131 or in preference the 184. The 187 or even the 188 just pick up too much product for us palies. Using the 184 will give you the control and you can always add more color if you need to do so. I'm glad you like it!

I was very restrained as well! I've ordered Supercontinental and Local Wares, and that's it. I just got the Estee lauder Violet Underground palette and I want a few things from the new Illamasqua collection, so I had to hold back a bit on Styleseeker :)

Everyone seems to be getting their packages today :) including me :)
This is what I got:
Top: Fashion Nomad and Supercontinental
Bottom: On the hunt, Marche Aux Puces, Whims & Fancies
I'm loving everything so far :)
Here are some comparisons, just in case they would be helpful to anyone!
They seem in the same family but each one is different and I love each one of them. When I got Supercontinental it seemed quite orange but compared to Illamasqua Lover it is a lot more pink! NARS Torrid is definitely darker and pinkier :)
I don't own many orange lipsticks but took a chance with Fashion Nomad because it being orange red, and it is indeed orange red :) I'm glad I bought it!! It has just enough brightnes and I love the formula of the lipstick.
I compared it to my favourite Lady Danger:

That little Heidi gif was very funny. I love this blush so much!

It's a beautiful color, I don't have anything like it in my stash.
Thanks :) I need to try different brushes for it. I also got SC, it's lovely with that subtle sheen. And I got Styleseeker n/p which is beautiful too, nice formula.
My Supercontinental has this film that has developed over it...i have been wearing it everyday. I close it tight and put it back in my drawer each day after use.
Rather than a film, it almost looks like the top layer is wearing away, maybe there was a more intense layer of color on top? But now it seems that I get less color pay off and it's just strange. Almost like I broke through a layer of overspray or something.
The only other way I can describe it is to say it's like it was coated with hairspray and there is one little spot of soft color I have broken through to...but I don't even use hairspray in the same room as my makeup...
Anyone else having this problem or see something like this before? TIA

Do you use clean brushes every time you use this blush? have you ever swatched it with your fingers? it sounds like maybe a layer of oil has built up on the blush? if so, you'll have to scrape the top layer off.
While I have never touched it with my fingers, I might be guilty of not cleaning my brush as frequently as I should
Good point...cleaning my brushes tomorrow! I seriously was just thinking I was overdue this AM when I was getting ready for work.
But on a side note, I have never experienced this with any other MAC product. From day one I have felt that this Style Seeker collection was tempremental in this regard. Others have said not to use fingers in the eyeshadows as well...when I swatched in the store, I had the same issue. The testers were hard to get any color payoff from them. It is so strange to me! But you nailed it right on the head I think with the brushes! Something with oil has come into contact withmy blush and made it like those store testers...has to be it!

Get a metal brush and scape of the top layer. Then follow with BeautySoClean. Repeat at least one more time.
Clean brush and following the never-double-dip rule will help to prevent this issue. I love all the new formula that MAC put out there but they are more "fragile" as the softer they are, they attract more oil and dirty resulting in a nasty build-up.
I hope that helps.

Most of the time I just like staring at it! lol It's such a pretty shade of red. It's one that I wish were permanent. I really don't want to justify tracking down a BU at this point. I guess if MAC randomly restocks I might be tempted, but it would pretty much just be a BU to stare at! LOL
I think Outlaw and HT look similar on me because I've been using both of them verrryyy lightly. I have high cheekbones though, too, so with a reddened color like that, I tend to go a little easier on the blush because otherwise things can get a little overdone, or it looks like a sunburn!
I mainly depotted the HC blushes and Stunner because I had some room in the palette to fill! My priority was to depot the NARS blushes, putting them in the see-through Z-palette made the most sense. TheBalm blushes (Fratboy top left, Downboy bottom left), those haven't been used before. I'm hoping the palette system will get them into rotation. Gaiety is just kind of sticking out like a sore thumb. I'll rearrange these once I get more palettes (someday), but I will eventually get some more NARS blushes, too. I'm still on the fence if I should get some MAC blush palettes, in the old style, but I have to decide quickly before they're gone.
I'm a depotting addict, so thank you for sharing these photos!
You're a good depotter. Yes, Gaiety does look a bit out of place; regardless, the palette is a stunner. :)

If you could afford it I would unless you are set on getting the new ones. I just got an old style blush palette and really like it. I like the looks of the new ones but I could see becoming OCD with keeping them clean. I hate hate hate messy makeup lol. I see lipstick tubes on blogs with lipstick on them and I cringe lol. I wipe mine off if I do that which I try to avoid. Yes, OCD lol.

Yeah I might break down and just get 4 blush palettes, even though I think that's way more than I need, even if I kept the 6-pan insert in there. I really want to keep all my MAC blushes together. Idk if I would want to get some 15-pan eyeshadow palettes though, or if I should just keep with the Z-palettes. I have one Z-palette filled with Urban Decay shadows, I bought the other shadows on Urban Decay's site because I have 3 extras that won't fit into the palette, so I totally understand the OCD! LOL. I have some etsy palettes for my drugstore, Rock & Republic and my Urban Decay Book of Shadows stuff. I think I'ma be up to my ears in palettes anyway, and I think the old style palettes are a much better price to swallow.
@bulbasaur359 @duckrodeo I'm a bit "OCD" with keeping my palettes clean too. I have a white UNII palette, so it's really hard! Thanks for the giggles -- you had me laughing at myself.

Thanks Mac-Guy! I never knew sucha product existed! It is a definite must have especially for a Purell freak like me! LOL
I did clean brushes and scraped off the top layer. So far it looks better. This whole experience has made me rethink about my brush storage, too. Right now I keep them standing upwards in a smaller vase. I wonder how much dust and what not they collect...
