This will be my 2nd event. My first was for the Hey, Sailor! collection. They served hors d'oeuvres and cocktails (alcohol makes you loosen the purse strings), played music and had a tap dancer for entertainment. They also had an activity to get a sailor tattoo. Basically, you get to see the collection early and buy what you want before it's released to the public.

Is everyone going to events at Pro stores? Or are some of you going to f/s events as well?

My event is at a free standing store. I don't think there's even a PRO store in my area. (If I'm wrong, please correct me!)

My nearest (and dearest LOL) Nordie's counter is having an event.

I just got an invite for this is in the mail today for a Macys counter. I'm afraid to go. So far my list is Fun Finds and Delectable. I don't want to get talked into more stuff. I do that well enough on my own.

Mine is f/s as well. As far as I know there are no PRO stores in MD/DC/VA so the closest one for us is probably something like New York.

Thanks! I don't think we've seen the promo pics of the products.  I inquired at my fave Mac store about a party and the SA gave me 3 dates.  That is not a party.  I didn't bother to correct her.  I signed up for the 24th which I think is Friday.  The SA said the products would be launched that day but that can't be right.  I want to get the makeover but I have that dilemma again.  Buy everything launch day or wait until the event.  Anyone know of any NYC parties I can try and get in on?  I haven't received an invite to anything.

Edit - all this talk of an olive fluidline reminds me that I still want to get those 2 green Superslick liners.  BTW Wasn't there an olive fluidline released before?  I could have sworn I bought one at the CCO.  Off to check stash.

I'm excited for everyone who will go to an event. Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts on this collection!

BTW is this the fall collection?  Isn't the usual official fall collection bigger?  Has Mac decided to go with more smaller collections instead of one big fall collection?  Now that I think of it, the SA said Mac has a collection coming out every week this month.  I should have picked up on this comment and asked her more.  What else is due this month?

This is the fall collection. Beauty Balm and Illustrated Bags come out next week. This comes out the week after that. Not sure what comes out on the 30th.

This collection is pretty big, when you think about it.....Mac Me Over was a little bigger, but not by much, and some of what made it bigger, like the shadesticks, was kind of bleh. 

Style Seeker is much better edited, if you ask me - only products people actually like a lot, and some really nice colors, especially in the blushes and shadows.

I found the olive fluidline in my stash.  Sweet Sage!  I was starting to think maybe I was mistaken when I came upon Mosscape paint pot but nope. Sweet Sage Fluidline is Olive green.  I wonder how different this new one will be.

Oh I forgot about Mac Me Over.  I don't know how as I bought quite a bit.  I skipped a year in my head and was thinking of Fabulous Felines with the multiple color stories in one collection.

I'm not sure of these abbreviations.  I guess P&P is Prep & Prime but I'm blank on the others.  Do you mean Cremesheen + Pearl? If so, that's out now.  I know there isn't really anything in the box at the beginning of the Color Collections thread.  That may be why I'm having trouble keeping track.

If this is the 'big' fall collection, come to think of it, there's no quads this fall ! This is a real bummer, the holiday palettes usually are not that great. Maybe they want us to buy the PLWs. My MAC SAs were talking about them and said that they are different now, very lightweight and matt (really?).

Can't speak for Orly quality since I've never used it but this could be a sort of dupe for style seeker, maybe a bit more orange than red. It's called Flicker.
