From what I gather, these are the shadows that are supposed to be "the next big bounce shadows" but are in fact WAY BETTER than big bounce.

Why the sad face? Did you like the original formula?

Thank you! I'm sure you look just fine with glasses.

NOPE! I'm way too paranoid and worried that something will go wrong. Then my vision will be worst than before LASIK. I'm fine with just putting my eyes on and off with my glasses. And wearing impressionistic eye makeup like aradhana. girlhaha.gif

Some people asked what I got from this collection, but I hauled big time at the Nordies Anniversary Event, here is photographic evidence...

Nordy's Anniversary Haul.jpg

Somehow Coil didn't make it home with me, so I'm going to have to go back to get it.

Here is me wearing Superwatt on Lid with Haux, Fig 1 & Satellite Dreams in crease, Vanilla on browbown.

Thanks! I guess I need to look into getting a magnifying mirror (lol, pun intended), and the Ott Lite mirror specifically.

EC EL LSs.jpgEC EL LSs (1).jpg

Top to Bottom...Electric Cool ES in InfraViolet, Estee Lauder LS in Violet Crush and Estee Lauder LS Black Cassis. Lighting is too great in these pictures, I apologize.

EC Infra Violet.jpg

Electric Cool ES in InfraViolet.

I think you really have to see and play with them yourselves to judge whether its a product you'd enjoy or not. I really love the colors and the textures. I've only had a chance to wear Superwatt with TFSI, I wasn't impressed at all at first, but then it kind of settled (but does take some layering to get the intensity going and to even the product out). Next time I'm going to try a PP and using a different brush.

Nice haul! Is it bad that I'm more interested in that NARS palette right there than the eyeshadows? I usually don't care much about NARS. What is wrong with me? LOL!

I was there too. I had just put the voices in my head to rest about this collection! Now they are busy at work again!

Well, Richelle (kinda rhymes)...let's just put it this way, EL is now on my must stalk counter list! I can't believe it. I posted a small description over the weekend which basically says I loved the way the Pure Color Velvet Matte LS felt. Violet Crush is unlike any color I've ever had before, as I always assumed it just wouldn't work but I really loved the way it looked. (But if someone doesn't think it looks very flattering, please PM me. I'd rather it come from you than some old hag at Nordstrom's {true story} hubs liked it so that is a good sign. It's hard to tell from the picture but it has this purple iridescent thing going on. I feel like this color may crave some lemmings for colors that people (like me) may have missed out on from MAC's LE collx. Also, if someone can recommend  a good LL to go with this, please let me know. TIA. Also, any must have EL LS color suggestions would be appreciated.

Can't wait for them to break out with the Cyber Eyes line or whatever its called. Very excited.

I absolutely loved the Matte finish, it was NOT drying, lasted through lots of drinks, a few pieces of forced popcorn eating (hubs shoving as many pieces of PC in my mouth as he could), lots of laughing (we saw Ted & it was so much better than I expected! I was lmafo! So, go see it if you need a good laugh & some 80's reminiscing). The only issue I could see was that it did stain my lips, but with this color I didn't mind all that much. It took a few wipes with some MU remover to get the color off.

I'm so impressed with these LSs that I've been looking at swatches and saying, which one is next???

Nothing is wrong with you, the question should be what is wrong with us??? It's never enough!!! LOL.

I know I am so not a blush person, but at this point I was in Retail Therapy and I figured what the hell. I've totally gotten into blushes and highlighters recently and figured this would be a good way to have a sampling of NARS blushes and a HL.

Thank you! Did you get my post about how easy these are to apply??? I posted it to you yesterday, maybe? They are super easy! Which ones are you thinking about getting?

Here is a picture of me with Superwatt on the lid, I know it's hard to see. The LS is EL in Violet Crush and this was my first day wearing Star Wonder. It left me wondering, why the heck did it take me so long to try it on. It's so gorgeous! My baby is camera shy & he makes everything better!

LOL ok so Ted is a must see, I have to get all the shadows, and the lipsticks are amazing. Fantastic.

Lip liner I'm thinking Magenta will be a good choice. I read about the hag at Nordies just forgot to respond. But I bet it will look amazing on you, since it looks rather awesome on your arm and hubs likes it to boot. Score!! These could be perfect for me. I have one EL LS in Plum Fatale, a gorgeous frosty wine color!

Aww your furball is so cute! Looks a tad bit unhappy though!

Violet Crush definitely looks more pink on your lips. Now I'm not sure if Magenta is a good choice lol. It still might work though.

I keep looking, this is definitely your color! You look gorgeous!

actually, i have considered it, but unfortunately the reason i had to stop wearing my lenses is that my eyes have become extremely dry, probably due to the fact i was wearing my lenses for more than 12 hours a day, staring at a computer screen focusing on fine lines all day... anyway, lasik supposedly exacerbates the dry eyes, so i'm kinda hoping this problem goes away somehow!!

spanky love the EL lipstick on you! (and starwonder!)

looks like you picked up a whole slew of electric cools! do you have a fave yet? i've been wearing superwatt almost every day since i got them...no wait, i have worn it every day. i really want to go back for electroplate!

Thanks Richelle. He doesn't like the red light going off. But I can't help squeezing on him and taking 2 million pictures of him! Proud mama, my first born. There is talk of a 2nd fuzzbaby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trying not to get hopes up.

Thanks for the tip on the EL LS u liked, I'm putting it on the list to check out. It's like a whole new world of uncharted MU territory that I must conquer!

& Ted is so INAPPROPRIATE but so funny. I'm a movie snob but this just had me when Ted is humping the checkout machine on the commercial.

Oh So Jaded,

Thank you so much for saying that! I really needed that right now.

The hubs was so skeptical but he was laughing from the first minute and I was right there with him. So wrong, but so right!!! Glad to hear you liked it.

What are you thinking about the Electric Cool Shadows? Are you going to check them out or just pass???

Hope you are great!

Thank you Baghdad 81. I appreciate it. Mr. Kitty always makes everything better!

So, I remember that you said at one point that you were all about the EC ESs, but then I think I saw $ was a bit of an issue. I'm sorry to hear this. I'm sure that you'll be able to get your hands on a few of these one way or another. Just don't go look at them. If I hadn't seen them in person I would have been skeptical for sure.

I hope all is well with you and yours.

Aradhana,

I'm glad to hear some positives on the LS choice. It is a color I normally would never, ever try out, but I figured what the hell & it was all downhill from there.

I don't have a fav of the ECESs yet because I only have played with Superwatt. Isn't it beautiful??? Electroplate is amazing looking in person. I couldn't believe how pretty these were. I wasn't expecting much of anything from these because I'm a huge fan (with a very small collx) of GA ETK shadows. I'm not saying these are in the same ballpark but the texture is just so cool and the pearlized piggys are to die for, etc.

What have you been using as a base for the ECESs? Are you using them in your crease too? I just did the look with Superwatt on the lid and 3 or 4 other shadows from the crease up. Also, what brush are you finding works best for the application or are you using your finger?

I love these, such cool colors!

MAC has really done some cool releases with these, ED collx & the HC MSFs!

Hope you are doing well!
