I've played with Infra-Violet and Fashion Circuit so far and really like them. It's been really hot and they've held up well. I have yet to try Highly Charged and will be soon. I am thinking of getting a couple more on friday. I am new to fun colored eyeshadows tho so the colors aren't dupes in my collection. I am sad that people haven't been too enthused with Dynamo. That's the other bright that I wanted.

I played with some today...
I like Love Power much more than Young Venus... it just has the sparkle that didnt come across with YV
Pure Flash is a good inner corner kind of color... its sorta like Nylon...very bright and shiny...
I found the texture of these much easier to work with than a paint pot, personally. paint pots always come out kinda patchy for me.
i'll have to play with the other colors this week...

I've decided to post the pics anyway because they may be helpful. It would've been better to have taken the photos while I was at Nordstrom, but it was too crowded with the anniversary sale going on. Lol, I also had a bunch of lipstick swatches on my arm and my hand too, and I walked around the rest of the mall like that. I was hoping to take good pictures later, but the lighting was too bad and I couldn't get proper focus with my camera phone.

Man, for some reason I'm even more confused about which ones of these I want if any. I'm trying to limit my spending and plan on getting a few things from EL. So I think I'll be good and just get one bright and one neutral. The amount of product just gets to me. But I want to at least try them out. Leaning at Fashion Circuit or Infra-Violet for the bright. And Love Power or Superwatt for the neutral. Any suggestions?
Since they are 50% water I wonder what these would do in the fridge. Maybe it would help them stay in place in the pan?
I's go with Superwatt and InfraViolet. They seem the most unique of the 4 you mentioned.
I'm getting Coil, Superwatt, InfraViolet and MAYBE Electroplate (but I think that one fell off my list)
T says LP is nice swatched but doesn't perform well. And FC is a lot more dupable I think than IV. Just my opinion..
Let us know what you decide to snag!!
purplerinne has me VERY close to wanting PF because of its likeness to Vintage Selection. But I'm going to start w my original list of 3 and see if I like the formula first!

MAC is really moving up the market (price-wise). I still consider the prices reasonable, at least in the US, when I compare it with high end brands. It's certainly different in other countries, where MAC prices are not that far away from Chanel & Co. They still manage to get by in those countries by severely limiting the quantities; and as long people buy it like crazy, prices will go up.
Unfortunately, at least here, Chanel&Co cost the double compared to MAC. A Mac l/s is 19 euros, and a Chanel one more than 38 euros.
Speaking of Chanel, yesterday I was able to find some Chanel l/s on sale. I got Vertige for 15 euros! Also, FINALLY, I found there a tester for Excessive. I did not get it this time either (they still had 3 left). The swatch on my hand looked blueish, so I wonder....
I would say Temptalia's review is pretty close to what my thoughts are on these - I would have given them a C+. I've tested these twice in the store - both times the pans (2 different colors) fell right out of the container. The wear is so-so, I did a wash of color and within a few hours it was fading (even with a primer). I think the Chanel Illusion e/s are far superior to these. They cost more but are defintiely worth it.

I got home from work today and the 4 I ordered were here. Mine are fine, not damaged at all. I got Love Power, Highly Charged, Superwatt, and Pure Flash. My favorite is probably Superwatt. I really like how these shadows feel. Now I just have to test them out on my lids. The 4 I got are pretty pigmented and shimmery, so hopefully the color lasts with no creasing. I might pick up Brilliantly Lit soon as I've liked the swatches I've seen.
If anyone is on the fence about these, I say pick up one or two to try. I was sort of regretting my order when I started seeing bad reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got them today and really like them.

I ordered four of these (Superwatt, Pure Flash, Electroplate and Infra-Violet) which arrived perfectly intact today. No cracks or broken pieces, no loose pans.
Only having swatched these on my hand, I have to say so-far so good. I am most taken with Pure Flash - which I think is going to create a gorgeous naked wet-look eye - almost like a shiny glossy look without the mess of adding an actual gloss on top. Perfect for summer with a coat of mascara on the lashes and a pop of color on the lips.
The texture is hard to describe. I have a hard time believing that they are 50% water. The only one that felt "wet" to me was Pure Flash - the others felt like a powder to me. Granted, I didn't push hard into the pans or do heavy swatches. Everyone is trying to describe/compare the texture and I think they are sort of but not exactly cross of the Chanel Illusion D'Ombres and the Armani/L'Oreal shadows. Less wet and spongy than Chanel, yet wetter and more spongy than Armani. They really are a new texture that I haven't seen on the market yet. I think the colors could really be built upon by the Lauder brand going forward (if these are successful). I do have to say that the color selection is kind of typical and dupable - but I tried to pick the colors I would get the most use out of. I am already thinking of backing up Pure Flash.
I dislike the plastic screw top packaging. It feels cheap and and not secure. Not good when you're in a hurry and don't always screw the caps on just right. I could see them drying out and the texture changing and becoming problematic.
I'm kinda disappointed that these aren't last year's Big Bounce formula, which I liked and was able to work with, but these will definitely appeal to more people. There is a certain similarity though between the formulas - something in the sheer, kinda wet, kinda micro-shimmery-ness that I think I will really like. I don't know if I have seen swatches that really capture these well. I think a lot of the swatches thus far have been heavy to show the colors, but I am not certain that is going to be the best way to wear them. Kinda like last year's BB, I think there will be a certain trial and error for people.

Did you just enable me to get Pure Flash? Why...I think you did!!!
Crap! LOL!
Thank you for your review, though!

"Quite a few"??? Look at you being so kind! That's a nice way of saying... "Pixie has lost her GD mind and bought up tons of these babies... Including ones not even available in the US!!" HeeHee (Herbert!) When I finally get to order these (im-patiently waiting the appearance of IV on Pro), I will let you & purplerinne know of any Loreal dupes I might have compared to the very few of these I'm actually getting...
purplerinne... These Loreal infallibles are INSANELY AWESOME!!! I have big expectations for the EC shadows at TRIPLE the price of the Loreal babies!

Too late... purplerinne's comparison to my beloved Vintage Selection PP kinda has me ALMOST sucked in.... But not quite yet!
Giving our original list of 3 a try first! THEN, and ONLY then, will I go back for PF if I like these...

I found the l'Oreal shadows today - for $12.99 Canadian! ![]()
I passed and took a stroll to MAC Pro where e/s pans are $14. I'll need to keep an eye out for a sale on the l'Oreal shadows - some were very pretty. I'm just not willing to pay $1 under MAC prices for them.

That's WAY too much! These are only around $8 in the US and you can always find them for buy 1 get 1 1/2 off, or right now they are available for the ULTA sale for Buy 2 Get 1 Free WITH an additional 20% off!! That's why I'm going crazy for them! You can get 3 of these from ULTA for LESS than the retail price of only ONE EC shadow!!
Maybe I can CP some for you.... let me see what's still available on ULTA. But I'm not sure how much shipping to Canada would be?
