I know her! Not personally, but I know who she is. She says that most of the blushes were too light for her ((?) and I think she is lighter than me (N20)).

So I def suggest those two love the blushes way better than the shadows

Aww, thanks dear! girlhaha.gif My Stay Pretty is out for delivery & I ordered WLL. Thanks

I keep trying to tell myself that I don't need to check this collection out right away (since it's perm) but the little voice in my head keeps telling me to drive by and swatch the blushes. I want things NOWNOWNOW!

Lol it doesn't hurt just to "swatch" things

I just got Rosy Outlook,  Blush All Day and Coffee Walnut contour cream. So looks like I will be learnig how to contour now which is something I have avoided. I am happy with the blushes. They are pigmented enough for my skin.  When I asked i they were having events for Glamour Daze or Archie's Girls I get the Death Con 4 look. I really don't think they like it when I know about collections they are told they can't talk about.

Stay Pretty - A really pretty natural pink flush. Girly pink

Sorry, my lighting wasn't that great, but the color looks true.

Don't be afraid to learn how to contour. I felt a little lost with it a few years ago too, but the best possible thing is to just study your face shape. Use a bright desk lamp and angle the light in different ways. What works for me has been to get to know the planes of my face broken down in the simplest, broadest surfaces and angles - like old video game characters where you could see every polygon making up the face.

Mac-Guy had a great tip to practice using an unnaturally dark color so you can really see what you're changing, then try it out again with the right colors and amount of blending.

Also, I'm sorry they gave you the death stare. They probably didn't even know anything about Glamour Daze - when I told my MA I had seen photos and swatches online he got all excited and asked me to text him the links, lol. They don't get to update until the first week of October.

There definitely is some dust with the blush so I just tap/push the brush onto the surface instead of swirling. The texture is definitely different feeling. What I personally find after wearing the blush a bit, is that it becomes more of a blush from within type of look, almost becoming part of your own skin instead of just sitting on the surface looking like you put blush on. Just a natural flush. I found that I loved the color on even more after wearing it for awhile.

Thank you for all the helpfulcontouring tips. It will be a new learning experience. The MA was kind of funny and told me I had Black Market information. They told me I knew things they didn't know anything about. I am mostly excited about Glamour Daze. I want some new ED colors. I am kind of meh about Marilyn now.

The only thing that was a little weird was that I patted on the color on bare lids and within a few minutes, it seemed like my skin had absorbed some of the color, making it seem like it had faded. When I put a second layer on, then the color stayed true. It seems like all of these have a formula that will either need a good base underneath that can act as a barrier towards absorption or you just need to apply a layer, wait till it sets, then do another layer. I don't have oily lids, but i had used quite a bit of the mineralize cleansing water (getting off pressed pigments) before I tried any of the Office Hours PLWs, so maybe that was a factor.

If you like very soft, gentle eye shadow texture, that is like the smoothest silk on your skin, you will like these. Just don't expect bright, brassy colors - this whole collection is focused on subtle natural shades. I even really liked the infamous Ever Ivory - it's more like a smooth translucent powder for the eyes than what we typically expect from eye shadows. If you have middle-aged eyes, this formula will be like a blessing from heaven, but if you're younger, it might be a little too subdued (unless you usually are afraid of eye shadow - then this is a good collection to ease yourself in). They are very comparable to the mattes in the Styleseeker duos, a touch less stiff and a bit more translucent, but with a similar result.

I didn't get too excited about the original PWL shadows, but I'm going to get a few of these over time. For now, I'm getting Mauveless and More Amour, but I'll snag Ever Ivory, if I decide not to get the Desert Camouflage compact, which has an equally soft, subtle and beautiful highlighter in it. I also really liked Uninterrupted, Fashion Fix, Endless Passion and Linger Softly. The whole collection is right in line with the trend towards ultra-natural, barely there, hint of color makeup, so just know what you're getting into before you buy.

I got both More Amour (quite red in the pan) and Mauveless but nothing else is really grabbing me.  I feel like I don't really need Ever Ivory, I have plenty of similar colors.  The Desert Camoflage compact from Carine Roitfeld is lovely.  I am into the whole barely there make up effect (for the days when I want to look naturally fabulous and less in YO face).  None of the blushes seem to be necessary.  Maybe I am just in blush overload after Tres Cheek, Naturally, and Heavenly Critters...

Your review is making me rethink Ever Ivory.  It could have utility as a setting powder for liquid shadows when you don't want to diminish the original color?

it sounds to me that if you already have similar colors, no need for EI - it does have that unusual texture going for it, but it might be unnecessary. Translucent powder could do the same thing, no? I just happened to be interested because I didn't have a decent off-white highlight anymore, so I've been in the market for a new one. I need something super subtle, so EI is catching my eye. I'll make up my mind between it or the Desert Camo compact by the time I go back to the store to pick up my things.

The eye shadows are for the most part matte, not my favorite finish - i only wear mattes in my crease. And Every Ivory is so very sheer, so i passed on it, but i'll test it on my eyes tomorrow, so i might change my mind...

I went back today to pick up my pre-order. So i wore a fairly neutral face -- primer & foundation, Star Wonder MSF on my cheeks, and Pleasureseeker lipstick enlivened with a little dab of Bait -- and nearly naked eyes - Local Wares Fluidline, DiorShow Mitzah mascara, and UDPP Original.

First i brushed Ever Ivory (LE) all over my lid from lashes to brow. Then i brushed Bloom On ("light burnt rose") from crease almost to brow - it's like blush for your eyes :-) I put Mauveless ("dark mid-tone mauve") in the middle of my crease and brushed it out into a bit of a wing. Then just for grins and giggles, i put More Amour ("mid-tone red" and LE) on the outer half of my eyelid.

I'm considering Mauveless, but i have Groundcover which is matte and kinda similar, although browner rather than violet. (does anyone have comparison swatches of the two? I still gotta get a camera...)

Ever Ivory has a certain potential. True, it is very sheer, but it works great as a base from lash line to brows. It brightens the eye without being excessively densely colored, chalky or pasty. I like its look, but not its matte finish, which really ages my lids -- mattes magnify my wrinkles and make my eyelids look lifeless, like parched, cracked earth. If it were Satin or Pearl i would have gotten it.

As i said before, the blushes in this collection are all quite nice in terms of color and feel. All are matte and can be worn sheer or built up. But i'm pretty much blushed out - i binged on blushes and MSFs this year - i love what i have, but i think i can't really use more (famous last words...). Lipsticks and glosses get reapplied multiple times during a day, but even with reapplying blush, one doesn't go through it nearly as quickly.

I really like Blush All Day ("light mid-tone rose beige"), but i now have both Pink Cult & Pink Tea which i really like, and i'm concerned that they're all too similar -- does anyone know of a comparison photo of all three?

I ended up getting only three things:
-- Boundlessly Beige lipglass – Light warm beige with pearlized pigments (Frost)
-- Bloom On eyeshadow – Light burnt rose
-- Baby Don’t Go blush – Light cool beige

I goofed. I actually got Endless Passion eyeshadow – "mid-tone rose", one of the LE e/s. But I definitely plan to get Bloom On.

I went for stubborn and thank god I waited cuz I didn't like it, it was too dark very pigmented for me then the girl was like let me try it on you so I let her oh lord I looked like a clown I'm like thanks for your help but I'll stick with baby don't go. And I got mauveless very nice lol I feel like doing my makeup right now but it's bed time so tomorrow I'll do it.

I picked up:

  • Always Sunny e/s
  • Uninterrupted e/s
  • More Amour e/s
  • Whole Lotta Love blush
  • Eternal Sun blush

I almost didn't get More Amour.  I saw the display and Tease with Ease was there instead.  I was sure this was from the old collection but the SA said no.  I had her ring up my stuff but I took out one of my devices and looked it up.  Of course it was More Amour that was missing.  I showed her and she looked in the drawer and found it.  There was no tester but I told her to just throw it in.  I like the looks of it but will I really wear it?  I'm so bad like that.  I couldn't resist the Whole Lotta Love and Eternal Sun.  I knew Whole Lotta Love was popular but I was surprised at how pretty it really was.  It was the blush that stood out to me.  Good thing its perm.  So why couldn't I wait to get it.  I also had to have Eternal Sun.  I have a lot of similar colors but of course this one looked different to me.  It seemed to have a slight rosy tone that my other super warm brown blushes don't have.  I didn't really try anything else except the light pink color as the SA said she thought the model in the promo pic was wearing the blush on her eye.

That's what I was thinking.  Ever Ivory just disappeared on my skin.  I just applied it on my hand with a q-tip and it was gone so I kind of dismissed it but now I want to see it again.  I definitely want to get Mauveless but I didn't want to get everything yet.  I think this one is on the permanent list, right?  As I remember it, the limited edition colors were Ever Ivory and 2 pink colors.  Don't recall the name.  I hope Mauveless wasn't one of them.  Oh no Liba!  As I'm writing this, I'm feeling like I must get Mauveless now!

Mauveless is perm. The LE ones are EI, More Amour and Endless Passion. Mauveless and Endless Passion were very similar on me, since I have darker toned skin on my lids and they both are translucent enough to allow your skin tone to blend with the color. Endless Passion is brighter and lighter than Mauveless and that would come out very clearly with base on underneath. I'm super happy with my Electric Cool Infra-Violet, which I can wear almost as sheerly as Endless Passion, so I figured I could skip. If you want a cherry pink that will be gentle and subtle, though, Endless Passion is a good choice - it'd be hard to over-do it and because it blends with your eye skin color, it ought not to give the dreaded pink eye disease effect.

Mauveless was sexy and very soft at the same time, and made my eyelid skin look very smooth, so I went for it. One of my very first shadows when I was a girl was something very similar by Mary Quant, that I've saved the last dregs of all these years for nostalgia purposes, so I had a personal thrill to get it - it had the same translucent matte effect that that 70's shadow did, but with a modern silky texture. More Amour is a fabulous gentle red, which is just crazy awesome for green eyes. It's so hard to come by mid-tone red shadow, it was a forgone conclusion I'd get it. It's going to look amazing with Raven in the waterlines for sure for a simple glowing effect, and I'm going to try it over Idyllic, Half-Wild, Hyperviolet and maybe Imaginary paint pots for different dramatic looks.

Also, I love how your mom is getting back into the glamorous makeup zone - sounds like she's ready to cut loose! cooldude.gif

Stubborn totally reminded me of Vintage Grape, which I have plenty of, so it was an easy pass for me. I've got enough darn blush right now so I resisted them all, though I did think the cool greyish beige one was very nice. It wouldn't show up on me unless I had serious foundation on underneath, unfortunately, so again, it was skippable - I just don't go in for full coverage foundation except once in a rare while.

That's the same thought I had when i saw swatches of Stubborn. Lucklily I have Vintage Grape too.

ETA: At least in the pan Stubborn appears to look a lot like Vintage Grape.

I tested it on my hand and it was so close that I felt I could skip. I think if I actually swatched them side by side, VG might come out a little duskier and Stubborn more vibrant (and a little redder), but yeah...'ole Liba's reaching her blush limit for sure.

For once, I am looking to have all my lemmings die merciless deaths and this just KILLED mine.  I doubt I will ultimately resist getting all of the subdued pinky-mauve eyeshadows but at least I don't see me snatching up an EI which will already make my Cryptkeeper eyelids that much more obvious.

Still on the fence about Whole Lotta Love, but likely that bright shiap colored blush is well represented in my stash with Tippy, Overdyed, Peony Petal, Azalea Ombre, Amazonian Princess and Feelin Flush.

Went today and got the last Boundlessly Beige. Happy.

I thought Mauveless was the best of all the shadows and will likely end up getting it. As for the blue/grey -- I like Weathered from last year better and have added it to my with list.

Also got invited to a Glamour Daze event -- October 25th.

Smart!  I keep wondering "What was I thinking?"  The SA said the collection would be online Oct. 1st.  That's right around the corner.  I need to start saving.
