>_< So nervous! I'm a lurker and I've finally decided to join this site.

The only reason why I did not join before was because I was nervous!

Well finally I'm here and I'm interested in Make-up. I know a little but I'm hoping I can get others input. Really hoping to try mac out but for some odd reason I have been having trouble with finding my foundation. And the people at the mac counter have been destroying my face. Lmao Anyways, nice to meet everyone :)

I've heard good things about MAC Face & Body foundation although I've never tried it myself, have you looked at that one?

I would have, but the people at the mac counter told me specifically that I can't use any of there other foundations but studio fix fluid. The only one that's good for me is studio fix fluid. From what they have said to me. I do not think thia is true. And I think its wrong that they said this to me

That's kind of odd, did they give you a reason?

@brokenxbeauty: thank you. I think ill do good here smiles.gif

@carriee: welk he said for what I am trying to cover up, that I am only able to use that foundation.
Even the girls. Mid you I have two dark cirles which are my birth marks on both sides of my cheeks.
I also have dark circles under my eyes. When I used the studio fix concealer in nw50 it cleared this
Up real nice. But when I used the studio fix in nw50 it was to light. And the studio fix nw55 was to dark the last timed I tried it.

First of all specktra_welcome.gif iinkless,

I hope that all of that anxiety of joining our gorgeous community has now passed and that you will be contributing to the posts soon!! Enjoy yourself!!

Now regarding your foundation and the remarks of some of the MUA, I am sorry to read how unkind and unhelpful they have been perhaps you could go to another counter or store. I am assuming that you are in search of something with medium to full coverage since you mentioned circles under your eyes. Now Face and Body is a great foundation, however it gives very light coverage, its really for those who don't have anything to cover up but who want a fresh dewy look, so having read what you've said I wouldn't recommend it to you. What is your skin type? Oily, Dry, Combination??

If you have Dry skin you could try - Studio Tech

Oily - Studio Fix Plus or Match Master

Combination - Studio Fix Fluid (which you've already tried)

Finding the right foundation in most cases requires a fair amount of trial and error, shop around, don't limit yourself to just MAC. Hope that helps.

Thank you Unique Beauty, so far I think I'm going to be alright. I feel like I'm going to learn a lot. :)

As for the mac situation, the only mac counter around me is another city over. Which isn't a problem to go there, it's just I don't want to be afraid to tell these people how I feel. So I think I'm going to go back and just say "I'd like to try this on for myself please" that way they can stay away from my face XD

As for my skin type, I would have to stay combination. a little more dry then oily, I don't think when you sweat that is considered oily, I'm not sure. But when I take a shower and clean my face, my face is dry, but the oils slowly start to come back and my face gets a little smooth. Sorry if that sounds confusing if there was a sure way to tell I'd do it, I think there are techniques I'm just not sure which one.

.

iinkless, don't fear the MUA after all you are paying their bills!! Perhaps you could go with a friend/relative? Just tell them what you want and if you are not happy with it, do not let them force you into buying it! Sorry I can't be of anymore help. All the best.
