I had to make due with my new goodies. I got Notorious and the Guerlain Dragon Meteorites. OMG on both! Notorious is amazing and I love it on my eyes as much as for contouring. It makes green eyes pop.

And the Dragon Meteorites are....as the lovely Shontay says...beyond beyond. I will never in a million years use them all up but I am still fighting the urge to back them up.

My Macy doesn't have anything either today...bleh I so wanted to go look & play this weekend.

So, what is the Dragon Meteorites like??? I need another product...like I need another product amuse.gif

OK. I am confused. Why do none of the Nordstrom stores have the Chanel Holiday collection but the website has the individual pieces for sale on it except for the quad?

Their items have a BO date of I think 10/31 right?

And thanks to Shontay for the heads up about Macys. Was able to purchase Malice today! And I purchased L'Impatiente on a whim... it looks pretty much exactly like La Provocante on my lips. Don't ask, I'm not sure why. But provocante doesn't pull that purple/vampy on me anyways. So L'Impatiente will be going back. =/

Thanks for the heads up. I have La Provocante too. I'll need to do a side by side comparison when my L'Impatiente is delivered. I hope they're different on me, but I don't need both if they're not.

Lillium and Prelude are the best, she may not be playing fair but she speaks the truth. lol.gif The only others I have that I'd buy again are Winter Nights and Mystic Eyes.

My Macys is now saying that they will not have the Holiday collection until the first week of Nov. So I guess the BO date for Nordies is for real.

Ack, this doesn't help! I went over to Nordstrom.com and have the Guerlain Dragon Meteorites sitting in my cart. th_WeAreDoomed.png

How long do Guerlain holiday or LE items usually last? Do they sell out quickly and restock?

Uggh, you guys are so bad girlhaha.gif I just put the Dragon Meteorites on hold for tomorrow when I go to Nordies. it was their last one.

They only had one left of the eye & lip palette.

It depends on the product. Most of them, from my experience will still be there for awhile. It's not a mad dash like Mac. Some items like pretty looking powders fly fast, though. I bought one highlighter from NM earlier this year and it was gone within a week.

I just want that gold rouge automatique shine or whatever it's called. I love those lipsticks and I want a light gold one. Bloomingdales didn't have it last I checked. I would've loved to buy it along with the illusion d'ombre. Instead I got Mac's Coppertone blush b/c I can never really order just one thing.

Oh and because I must say this everyday: I WANT ULTRA crybaby.gif

http://bestthingsinbeauty.blogspot.com/2012/10/guerlain-shine-automatique-lipstick-for.html

and what is up with this Guerlain compact that I hear is over $100? They have lost their minds! Luckily, I can't even entertain the thought b/c it's for the fair set.

Well I love the sheer gold one that I have from MAC. I can't remember what the name is right now. It was LE hmm.gif

But yes, that lipstick looks lovely. The golds are awesome over other ls colors.

The Ruffian shade? I skipped that one. I have a gold MUFE lipstick, but that one is seriously opaque. I'd like something sheer like this to work with other colors, like you said. Plus, I love the formula on these (and the packaging).

YES - thats it! You have a better memory than me. I love love love the Ruffian gold. It a gorgeous sheer gold. I was surprised that I would like a gold ls.

- Espiègle, soft peachy blush

- Rose Ecrin : nude and mute rose

- Rose Initiale : rose with subtle golden micro-shimmer

- Orchid Rose : coral/peachy rose

- Pink Explosion : soft candy rose with very subtle shimmer

- Plum Attraction : beautiful plum blush

- Rouge : really intense but also sheer blush ( pretty when going out for dinner or such occasions )

- Malice : very pretty peach blush, both intense and subtle

- Tumulte : very pretty rose, soft and bright at the same time

- Ultra Rose : pretty rose with blue undertones, really intense

Hope it will help a little bit.

Thank you very much! I really have blush envy. Rose Initiale is actually the only JC I own, although Notorious is on its way to me now, thanks to my Guardian Chanel Angel. I've had my eye on Rose Ecrin since it came out, since I need a good soft, nude pink shade. I've also admired Espeigle for a long time, but I keep worrying it'll turn too orange on me. Ultra Rose looks just too awesome to pass up.

After all the reviews that I've seen, I can't wait to get my hands on these. Also, The Great Enabler has been bugging me for a couple of years to get these. One of his friends used to wear them all the time and he insists that, yes, they are made of magic. Yes, that's right. My husband has been bugging me to buy Guerlain.

Both Guerlain and Armani have this tendency to throw something like that into their collections every now and again. I swear they do it just to see if you're paying attention. Everything in the collection will be their normal prices and then there'll be one unassuming item that costs $200. I don't care what it does for me, I can't justify the expense.

Katred - Rose Ecrin is so so beautiful on. Its lovely with smokey eyes. Its one of my all time favorite blushes.

Thats so cute about your hubby. I cannot wait to see what these Dragon Balls are all about girlhaha.gif

Well, I did not get a call from my Nordies today, so looks like probably no Holiday to get this weekend. Oh, there is also another big bag of goodies (like bloomies) that you get at Nordies beside the black patent Chanel goody bag. I'm not a fan of them because they are mostly all perfumes eh

elegant, where can I find this new Nordstrom goodie bag? Is it something I have to call for and is it Chanel specific? I've become a little obsessed with GWPs.

Ruffian Gold is love.gif.  I've only layered it over red lipsticks so far. I need to play with it over other colors. I know it will look stunning over purples and deeper shades.

Zai and I were shrieking when we found out it's available here! :)

I love it, but I need a lighter hand/brush! My JC blush brush (just an inexpensive hard awesome brush I bought at Watsons) don't cut it for this blush. I look like a clown!

The extra goodie bag is the Nordstrom beauty GWP. I'm not sure if there is a certain amount you have to spend. If so, its usually only like $50. Then there is the Black Patent  Chanel bag filled with product.

I agree, the gold ls will make those purples & plums amazing.

Forget bad, evil is more like it!girl_devil.gif I caved and got the Dragon Meteorites. I like how they're being called Dragon Ballz in the Guerlain thread. I ordered mine from Nordstrom.com to pick up at my local store.  It was my store's last one too. I also got a free sample of Guerlain Meteorites Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer as a GWP. Not bad!

Thanks. I didn't see it when I placed my order. I'll ask about it when I go to pick it up.

My store was out of that Primer GWP. I hope you love your DM! I cannot wait to at least see what they look like tomorrow.

Sigh... That's one of the reasons I want it so much. It's enough colour to work as a blush on me, but still very delicate.

I consider it both frustrating and fortunate that we haven't got a distributor for the TF makeup line up here. The lipsticks are available, but that's it. I even try to avoid looking at those...

Is Ultra Rose available in the US formula as well? I want that, instead of the baked ones at my counter.

Winthrop - I guess I was too heavy with Mulberry, but I don't want it now anyway, I want this quad!

I saw the collection, and the brush set with short handles. My counter didn't get the liquid eyeliner. The gold IdO swatched a little sheer, but I think someone said it is buildable. I'm unsure if I need it. I didn't try Malice on my nails but I opened the bottle to see the liquid and it was beautiful, though I think the colour is dupeable and I'm not excited about such nail polish colours anymore, so I'm not sure if I need it. I tried the burgundy shade of the quad on my eyes lightly and I could pull it off, so I'll be getting it. I love all the colours and the texture is divine! I want the lightest glossimer too. The JC is mainly just lots of multi-coloured shimmers, like the shimmery loose powder Chanel brings every Christmas. It is pretty for a party look but not for every day looks.

The brush set has similar brushes as last year's. I think only the slanted powder brush is replaced by the round powder brush. The pouch comes with a detachable mirror in the middle, and I think it is a nice touch. The brushes are soft and I like this foundation brush more than the new full size foundation brush. I'll be getting it because I like to collect the brush sets. The snow globe and the display were very festive!

And I also swatched Malice blush and was a bit underwhelmed, I think I was waiting way too long for this.
For the holiday collection I a down to Malice n/p and maybe L'Impatiente.

Is your Ultra Rose baked or non-baked formula? Can't wait for you to try it! Do you mean Malice nail polish or the JC? I'm not sure about both of them.

It is in the baked formula and it is lovely, just melts into my skin. The Malice I meant above was the blush, they should not reuse names winks.gif
I wanted malice blush forever, but somehow I did not feel it yesterday. The Malice n/p is definitely coming home with me smiles.gif

Did you not like the baked ultra rose?
Let me know how you'll like the quad, even though I think I am staying strong on it.
