As we all know setting your foundation is the key to making it last longer. And also it helps with shine and all that jazz. Ever since I've discovered mineralize skinfinish natural, circa 2009,...
DAINTY is my favorite blush among the Mineralize Blushes. Is a color that suits anybody. Is a peachy pink with shimmer that makes your skin glow and look healthy. A little product is enough to...
I only own 2 of the MAC VIVA GLAM collection and my lippies are MAC VIVA GLAM II a satin formula that looks brown on me and doesn't suits me very well (maybe I'm not a Brown lipstick fan), the...
I really like this foundation! I don't use it for my everyday foundation but I use it for when I have am going on a night out. This is the only Mac foundation I am a big fan of. I like the...
I don't have Turandot but I prefer a soft look too. I'm slowly starting to get into the bolder eye looks. Do you have any of the Mac duo fiber eye shadow brushes? They would be great for this. Also the 227 is good for a soft look.
The brushes in the Mineralize holiday brush set are duo fiber, right? I was thinking of picking up that set. Kinda want to wait for it to get to the CCO, but don't really want to wait until next year since I actually NEED some brushes.
In general, I don't think it's an improvement at all. Even the landing page looks confusing and less classy imo.
I agree with you. It's too cluttered and looks disorganized. It's also annoying not showing the color names on the What's New page. I'm also still wondering if Notorious is becoming permanent since it's not designated as Limited Edition?

Yes, they're duo fibre. Mine should arrive today. I was originally going to get them from a CCO as well. I didn't want to risk not getting the Mineralize one since I got it specifically to match the hanging travel bag. I hear the quality of the SE brushes are decent to good, but definitely not as great as the regular MAC brushes. I have full size duo fibre brushes and plan to use the Mineralize set for travel. If you actually need brushes, you may want to invest in the full size brushes over the SE brushes.
Gosh I can't wait to get my Holiday items. Supposedly they were mailed to me last Monday from the Seattle Nordstrom. On Friday I was told the Counter Manager would call me over the weekend to follow up on my order. It's Tuesday and I haven't heard squat.
Received my package today. Yay! It came from Portland so I thought it was Glamourdaze lipstick. Pleasant surprise. I picked up the Quad, Notorious, and Malice n/p. My gift was a patent makeup bag filled with Wild Rose Glossimer (shiny, shimmery rose pink), Chanel No.5 body cream deluxe sample, and LeBlanc Brightening Cream. Wild Rose wasn't super pigmented, just kind of a soft and nice pink. (My lips have brown pigment so YMMV.) It has tiny glitter particles in it so I'm not sure if I'd wear it to work, but I'm sure lots of other people would. It seemed kind of thick going on, but felt like it would last awhile. I took pics real quick before I washed my hair so nothing gorgeous, but here it is:

YaY! It all looks so beautiful. I am glad that gash didn't go through to your bag You did not like the gloss? I really liked mine and was kinda ugh a new lemming: All The Glossimers.
elkaknits - I like the gloss, but don't love it so I don't see myself running out to stock up on $30 glosses. I'm not judging it harshly, though, as I slapped it on before getting in the shower just to see how it looked. I'm a bit conservative with my makeup so tend to stay away from glitter; it's just my personal style. I'm sure this gloss is very normal for most other people. I'm weird. Also, I felt like the gloss was thick and goopy, but it had been sitting outside my house in about 40 degree temps so it may apply differently tomorrow after being in a heated house. I'm very happy this gloss was included though so I can try it out. The color is very pretty and subtle. It's my favorite of the free items for sure.

The big box housing the GWP had a big gash in it.
I'm glad that you finally received your goodies MissTT! :) Very nice GWP you received there too btw Hope you'll enjoy everything ;)
Very pretty ! I picked up the Regard Signé this morning, just great !
Enjoy your Chanel makeup products it's a beautiful collection and choice ( Notorious has not be launched here yet so far I know but it's a very useful product so far I know ).
Does anyone know when us poor Europeans can expect to get our grubby paws on this beauty? I saw the polish and quad in shops but I don't recall seeing Notorious.
Amazing swatches as usual Elegant! I much prefer the colour of Claire to Ivoire - it's a subtle difference, but it seems to be a tad more peachy maybe??
Nuit Claire is pretty too, ivory/peach + black in a beautiful duo. The collection is small, I think every product is worth the attention, personally I'll skip this duo but when seeing it today I said to myself why not ? I chose the quad but the duo is nice.

Thanks Gracie No, it's not patchy at all, in fact they are both extremely soft & smooth like butter. I think it looks that way because I rubbed my finger over the top & it powdered Yes, it is more pink/peachy neutral whereas the ivory is more yellow based.

I do too. I think that the Claire color is a bit more wearable/enhancing on the skin.

Here are my goodies.....I am sooooo in love with everything
AWESOME LOOT!
I ordered Reverie as well but I'd have to wait 2 weeks before getting it as I do not live in the US. Very excited about it! I originally wanted Stardust too but I decided against it as I already had Tweed Pink.
Anyways, I don't buy blushes from our local counters anymore, we also have the euro version. So I order them from Nordie's instead. Such a shame they don't have Notorious!
Rêverie is pretty, I love Chanel loose powders ! So you didn't order the quad Harmonie du Soir ? To me it's a must-have ( my first non baked eyeshadows from Chanel ). I tried it this very morning, just as subtle as expected and perfect when wearing a soft blush ( Rose Initiale this morning ) and a bold lipstick ( rather bold L'Heure Bleue from Guerlain ).
Stardust has really nothing in common with Tweed Pink. Stardust is a beige/rosy blush with gold shimmer like a soft rose sable in fact. It's a highlighting blush, Tweed Rose is a very soft regular non baked blush. I highly recommand Star Dust because it's wearable even with gold shimmer in it.
