NARS Spring 2013 - Page 13

Uggh, almost everything to her lately is powdery & chalky & to be honest,  I just have not found this to be true when I have the same product. Maybe its her skin or something?

Temptalia's review of Persia:

I want it, even if I would rarely use it.

Here's a video from Nars Media showing Bouthan, Seduction, and Dressed to Kill in Action.  Bouthan does look pretty sheer.  Will be interesting to see how they use Persia.

Thanks for that! I really like Jenny Smith, she's very talented, and she seems adorable. :)

The blush looks GORGEOUS on in that video! Just the way I thought it would.

My order shipped & will be here Friday unless UPS ups it to Thursday, which they have been doing lately.

What did you buy?  Or did you post that earlier -- I might have missed...

Thanks for posting this. It's a very pretty look. I think part of the sheerness might be because she's using a very large, fluffy brush. Those tend to deposit colour more sheerly.

Can't wait to see this in person. Between Nars and Guerlain, I'm gonna be broke this spring.

Karen makes anything look amazing!

I love how she has used the green eyeshadow..like a halo along her lashline..I never get that blending/buffing right :(

The color of Bouthan looks amazing. I wish I could get, but pink eyeshadows always turn to be really reddish on my eyelids.:S Pink blushes and lipsticks are perfect for me, but eyeshadows aren't. Maybe I could use Bouthan as a blush?! girlhaha.gif

It's funny, because her comments indicate the colours are difficult to work with, but her swatches look amazing.

Okay, finally dived in and made my purchase! NARS Persia single e/s and Seduction blush! Could not resist these two items! Can't wait to do a look with these beauties:)

Yes some girls indicate the texture is difficult to work with and others give a final grade of A- so far I know, well in any case I need this duo !cheerleader.gifDouce France is very pretty but this one has more glitter, I love it !

That blush is just stunning! I cannot wait to get it. I think I actually may try Persia es. I would wear mine with a dark smokey brown es & then use Persia lightly over it in the crease & then just a pop of it right over my pupil in the center of my lids

But I feel attracted to Seduction more and more, so who knows I'll buy it later even if I already have similar ones? lol

Tell me about it! 7 to 8 hour wear is awesome!

Temptalia mentioned she's not a big fan of Nars blushes and she thought they are overrated (which I totally disagree!!!) before, so that's why I think she only gave it A.

I haven't seen T gives A+ on Nars blushes yet. So I usually don't trust her review of Nars items. I only see her color descriptions and swatches.lol

uh yea 7-8 hrs is dmn good n really all i'd need to step in the room n have folks admire me then go on bout my merry little way lol. hahaha i go to see T color descriptions n swatches to make sure i dnt get anything close to somethin already n my stash!!

Moreover her make-up skills are, in my opinion, not developed enough to make her an expert on make-up products and how to get the best out of them. So yeah I do just like you: I look at the pictures, and "forget" the rest.

lol.gif i always secretly thought to myself "for someone who is really into makeup her skills are...." but since im appreciative for her reviews i focus on that alone!!

I know what you're talking about!

Whenever I see her reviews of Bobbi Brown's lip glosses, I always think they're ridiculous.

She usually says BB's lip glosses has high pigmentation and are "not-sticky", but NARS LTL lip glosses are less pigmented and quite sticky. So she usually gives A to BB's but B or B- (C and D and so on) to NARS'.

I also used BB's lip glosses and they're the stickiest lip glosses in my life!!!

(and of course, I don't think they're all high pigmented.)

I thought MAC's lip glosses are the stickiest before I tried BB's.lol

I know NARS LTL lip glosses are little sticky for my taste, but not stickier than BB's!!!

I even asked a couple of my friends about BB's l/gs and they all said they're really sticky.

now i will say mac lipglasses are tackier than floral print shirt w/plaid pants BUT BB lip gloss arent pigmented and for as much as they COST i need to see some dmn color!! plus i dnt like how some have that brush applicator vs the doey sponge one!! ugh!!!

Yachiyo brush is an unique one! I know it's pricey, but if you can splurge on it...you will love it! I purchased NARS seduction, because its color I would wear and it will be added to my massive blush collection. NARS Persia reminds me of Mac saffron ( LE item), but it will go perfect with Galapagos and Mekong as well:) I'm surprise no one has switched up yet!

I got the Yachiyoooooooooo nanaparty.gif

Hehheeeeeeeeeeeeee...and I still wonder if it's worth all that money..and does it really dooo annnnything??  I don't want to like it..at all...but then I take some really pigmented blush and swipe it on with the Yachiyo and it's soooooo beautiful!  I don't know what's in that brush...!!!
