MAC AzealiaBanks-Lipstick-YungRapunxel - Page 37

Thanks to CartoonChic, I am going to bust out my Revlon Va Va Violet.  I too forgot I had it!  Also, for those looking for a possible dupe for Chanel's La Provocante, try Iman's Moisturizing lipstick in shade Wild Thing.  I just swatched it a Ulta a couple of nights ago.  Seemed like a good alternative.  Has a nice deep, pinky-purple to it like ButterflyDior's swatch on the previous page.  Plus the cost is only $10.  Hope this helps!

I got my YR. First pic is one layer, second pic is three layers. I love that it's a bit sheer, because now I won't be afraid of it and I can get used to vampy lips! I can see some grey in it, although I don't think it shows as much in the pics. The colour is so pretty! Thanks purplerinne for the cp!

Pinkdollface, you look amazing. I swear you can pull off any color I'm just totally convinced all lipsticks look good on you.

Gorgeous Pinkdollface!!! Absolutely love YR on you. I've been wearing it quite abit lately. I don't think I look as good as you do in it, but I am very happy to have treated myself to this amazing colored lippie.

I just got a shipping notice for my backorder of YR!    So I guess that MAC is filling the backorders.

Fingers crossed I'll have my CP from Purplerinne on Monday or Tuesday with my YR in it!  Super excited! :)  Thank you again so much for the CP!

Oh no, now that I've seen how great it looks on you I want it too! *cries*

I think I found a pencil (s) that I like better than Nightmoth with YR. NYX Prune that I just picked up from a beauty supply store and an old Iman lip pencil in Prune. Iman's is a little darker than the NYX one but neither of them have the slight red tone to it that Nightmoth does. Also, when I got home I had no idea that it was an NYX pencil that I picked up because the NYX pencils that I have are shorter than this one. If I knew it was NYX though I may have not gotten it since I already have an NYX Prune pencil. This one looks to be not only longer, but a bit darker as well. I need to find my other one to compare the two. Ok, enough of my rambling.

LOL, I was just getting ready to say that. 

i'm pretty late in posting this, but here's a pic of me with yung rapunxel lipstick.

i wore it all day, and did several reapplications, but found it was better to wipe the whole thing off and reapply from scratch.  (maybe you don't have to do that with all lipsticks? i don't usually think to reapply till it's all gone anyway....)

I finally received mine today. I'll have to test it out tomorrow as I'm wearing Rocker today. Yep, Rocker is completely amazing.

Mine just arrived today courtesy of Purplerinne. I brought it in out of the cold but it was still creamy. It looks purpler (is that a word?) and darker on me than on Pinkdollface.

Paired with burgandy liner and a couple of coats, it's definitely a look I'd wear. If I wore it full jolt with purple eyeliner it would definitely be a bold look. I like it. :)

Wha? It's already cold where you are? So not fair. We've been upwards of 95 and higher during the day, it's still summer weather here and I am so beyond over summer. I am glad you got yours and like it. I have yet to try mine on yet. It's so unfair that they didn't release it internationally.

We had a crazy hot summer too, but I love that. I hate the cold. It's not normally this cold this early, but when I woke up this morning it was only 43 degrees and it's only 54 now. 

Tomorrow is supposed to be about 70.

Wow! Now that the lippie has softened up, I'm even more impressed. I have no trouble at all getting this to a smoked purple/aubergine look. This doesn't pull grey on me at all. It's definitely vampy when layered on and would probably look best with a good base of F&B and nothing else (maybe a little Nico), some light shimmery shadow, Blacktrack or another very dark fluidline, mascara and nothing else. I don't have any idea where I'm going to wear this, but I'm so glad I got it. Thanks, Purplerinne!

I should probably avoid this thread since I will probably get swapper's remorse but you wonderful folks are inspiring me to bust out all of my darker, vampier lipsticks.  I am about to put away all of my corals/peaches and save them for Spring, bring out the burgundy, plum, and maroon.  I think I will dust off Burnin' and Media to start, followed by Rebel and Cyber.  Topped of course with some Narcissus and Richly Revered.  Any other autumn favorites out there inspired by this lippy?  Still trying to get my paws on NARS Autumn Leaves as well...
