I didn't know the UK got Pink Friday, but a cp is still a safer choice.

if it sells out as quick as pink friday i'd have had no chance of getting it anyway!

Haha yeah these babies go quick. Purplerinne is doing a cp for me for this one too and I was able to get Prince Noir from Yazmin, thanks girls! I have tried Prince Noir over Nightmoth and it's amazing! I really want to get used to dark lips. The people from my internship have already seen me with OCC Nylon, so I guess a vampy lip in the fall will be ok.

Got my box today! I looked at what the lipstick looks like and it looks so pretty! I will try it on my lips tomorrow.

Posting newbie here (but longtime lurker) .  I got my YR on Friday, but I just tried it today ( I just got back from out of town).  My YR was very dark, purple, and had very little red in it. It was also very glossy. I paired it with Nightmoth liner, which was darker and redder than the YR.  I think my YR looked very similar to my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 04.  

While on my trip this weekend, I got MAC Pro longwear lipstick in Faithfully Yours from a CCO.  It was lighter and more matte than YR. But, it was still vampy. So, this evening I wore that instead of YR. 

I'm probably going to keep my YR, just to have. Maybe I'll wear it when going out. But, I'm going to have to play around with it with different liners. 

Just found this pic of someone wearing YR with All Of My Purple Life on top. Looks like a really nice combo. I know some here have suggested trying these two items together.

Well crap. I thought that this one was in the US only. Now that I see it's available in Canada... it's sold out. 

 

I shouldn't be too upset, because I do have lots of vampy lip colours, but I also hate to let a special one go... dang.

 

What?! I didn't see it on the Canadian site, and I've checked a couple of times. Oh well, I am getting a CP but I'd have rather not put the person to the trouble if I could have gotten it here.

That new Macy's banner has to go! It is driving me nuts with all the screen jumps! Please, please, please Specktra get rid of the Macy's banner!

 

I know. I hadn't even thought to check, then I looked at the site this evening and *bam* there it is, sold out. WOULD'VE BEEN NICE TO GET A M---ERF--KING HEADS UP, MAC!!! Ahem. Oh fiddlesticks, I seem to have missed out on this lipstick. 

I would just edit my previous post, but with that new Macy's banner causing sooooo much jumping around I can't even click on things without entire screen jumps occuring! It is affecting my ability to choose which forum I want to read, my ability to like a comment, and now my ability to edit my own comment!

I am not even kidding! If that banner isn't jumping around to cover what I am trying to read, it's causing my screen to jump when I try to select something. If I am forced to read that darn review on BOING! Under eye concealer one more time, I am going to scream (no offense to the author...it's just that I have read it several times due to this issue!) argh!

I hate you Macy's for ruining my Specktra experience!

I ordered Yung Rapunxel in the Pacific Time Zone on the morning it went on line. I was driving west in I-80 through Nevada on my way home and desperately looking for a likely place with wifi so i could order it. I ended up eating breakfast in a casino (i hate casinos - they smell so horrible - like fresh air has never entered) with my laptop on my dining table. I must be a little bit nuts. 

 

My Black Box full of MAC goodies finally arrived yesterday late afternoon. I had ordered items from By Request, Styleseeker, and some miscellaneous items that were still hanging around from other collections - stuff that had been sitting in my shopping bag for weeks - and YR. Naturally i couldn't wait to try YR. After reading here that so many others had trouble with it, i was pleasantly surprised that for me it went on smoothly, evenly, and deeply richly colored in one pass. I don't know if there were different batches of lipstick or i just have lips that YR loves 

 

Today i'm wearing YR ("deep plum cream") with foundation & concealer - this color is extremely dramatic on light skin and i felt i needed to make sure my skin tone was very even, Pink Tea blush ("neutral beige pink"), and Art of Powder In the Abstract highlighter. On my eyes are Dark Diversion eye liner ("blackened plum"), New Hue mascara ("blackened burgundy"), and - pushing the colors a little to the warm side - Jeté eye shadow ("sandy coral" that on me looks sort of golden tan) plus a non-MAC frosted white blended in the center of my lids and a non-MAC darker tan in the outer crease.

 

I've read that dark lipstick colors are considered aging on older women (i'm one) and that it's better to go for colors that are close to one's own natural lips - which i do for more business-like situations. But i've seen myself in our performance videos and in photos, and i like how i look better with dark lip colors... because they make me look as if i actually have lips ;-) since my eyes are hidden by my glasses.

 

So this long ramble means i am quite happy with YR. Now to get a dark warm brown, too - i'm thinking of Chestnut or X-S...

I thought the banner irritation was just on my iPad. Hope it goes away soon.
