MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013) - Page 63

I'm losing interest in this collection, but I want more info.  I think right now I'm only really interested in Betty Bright.  I love pearlmattes, but I feel like I have too many cheek products and not enough time to wear them.  Maybe the green piggie will blow me away, though.  Kinda hope so

YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! **FAINTS*** FINALLY!!!! A straight f'ing purple lipstick without any pink, red or fuchsia in it. I wish it had some bleu, but I'll take straight up purple. MAC really should do more straight up purples.

I hope we get the color story today or at least this week. I hate waiting.

I'm quite happy it's more purple than Violetta. I enjoy my Violetta, but it's too pinkish for me.

Thank you! I dont have the brush that was suggested but it worked alot better! im going to try it for reals tommorow. See if i can figure it out cuz i like both of the betty ones so far cant really tell how veronicas will look yet.

Try any eye brush that is dense (tightly packed, or not fluffy).  I also use the suggested 242, but if you don't have it, I've heard of people using the 239 as well.  You just need a brush that is going to hold on to the pigment.  I find that it tends to fall all over the place if you use too fluffy a brush, lol.  But take a look at whatever eye brushes you have and see if you can make one of those work!  Have fun!!

Generally speaking, I agree 100%...at the closest store to me though, people are not so daring.  Last I saw, SW and FF were the only lippies left from the Strength collection!  Although now that I think about it, SI sold out before NI from Taste Temptations...so I wonder how things are going to play out with AG?  Should be interesting!

Haven't decided yet.  Leaning towards not going.  As entertaining as it is to observe the madness, I'd prefer not to be in the middle of it!  If it takes forever for this collection to launch online though, I'll go down to the store on launch day.  The one closest to me isn't have a pre-release event, so that should work out fine.

the pink Veronica lipgloss is mall madness. it looks different in different pictures it that's the one I'm getting! the reddish one is probably strawberry malt and then there's a dark purple one. I wonder what color her np will be its the only items we haven't seen a picture of yet.

hey Erine1881, do any of the colors from the spoiled rich quad look familiar to you?

on another note I tried using a pigment last night.... not good lol I made a huge mess all over my face. so as pretty as these ones are..... I'm going to pass on them.

 I can agree somewhat. I do find lustres very drying on my lips. I prefer other finishes. If this is a cremesheen I will be okay with it, but I would have preferred satin, matte or amplified finishes. I also would have preferred the lippie darker since it appears to be a nice deep darkish purple shade. Oh MAC! What are you doing to us????
