I still don't have a final list either...  

Whew! Gone for a few days and come back to about 2200 posts! I only went back several pages to get caught up. Boy did I miss some drama.

 

I'm not getting a lot from this collection. I'm saving funds for travel plans and upcoming collections. (Plus I've splurged like crazy on nail polish and surprise Chanel purchases.) I'll probably get 3-5 lipsticks. I like the Veronica quad and I'm curious about the Pearlmattes, but don't think they're going to be in my budget. Hopefully some of this stuff will show up later at CCOs, including the brush set. I like the heart design.

 

I need to catch up in so many different threads...

So much confusion about launch dates😦. I keep seeing JAN. 30th ONLINE. Is that correct? I was thinking online would launch the 3rd (Sun.) then 7th in-store. 😐

I'm pretty happy with my list as of right now , as I was able to narrow it down... It's kiss & don't tell, mall madness, daddy's little girl and boyfriend stealer. When I go to the event I will be checking out Ronnie red, Betty bright, Veronica's eyeshadow quad and Betty's blush. Trying to save that "mula" lol

 

Was it just gold shimmer? I thought I remembered seeing a little bit of blue in there, too. Could be off though since I saw way too much stuff at once. Either way, that gloss was my favorite out of all the Veronica lipglasses. 

any other thoughts??

 

Aww, lol. I still have my old Archie comics too. I made paper dolls out of my actual books rather than my comics, to my mother's horror 

 

I was actually referring to the MAC Archie Comic that's been featured in a few product pics. 

 

No problem : ) If Early Morning isn't your ultimate fave then I definitely say it's worth a shot. Like Erine said it's a very unique blush and MAC really hasn't come out with anything like it since it first debuted. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm also struggling with the Pearlmattes.  My initial thoughts are to go with Flatter Me (Betty's) because I already have a pink based pearlmatte, Sunday Afternoon from the Vera collection.  Ronnie Red is on my list because I just love red lippies.  I need to get this all narrowed down or I'll end up over buying.  Decisions, decisions!  

  

im stuck on the pearlmattes too! i read karens review of both and i get a stronger urge to get Flatter me, but i really want both. but then i know im going to want both from the baking beauties set too!! i dont need 2 coral and 2 pinks do i??

I reaklly want Flatter me, but it looks almost the same as Cream Soda blush. The veronica blush and pearlmatte look very different from one another but bettys set looks almost the same. I dont know whether to get both of each or not.....dammit!

Medgal, are you going to try and preorder even tho u are going to the prelaunch? ppl are saying they preordered already. im worried lol. I havent recieved my invitation yet either....

Ok i see what you're talking about now. When you said divots, i was picturing something completely different! I still consider it a screw on lid. You're wanting actual threads! I transfer all my new jar pigments into the old jars anyway. I can't have weird mismatching packaging. It drives me Too OCD!


The official launch date is Feb 7th. Pro (store and online) always releases a week early, making it Jan 31st. But things actually go online anywhere from 2-4 days early, making the earliest day this will be released for pros is tomorrow, the 27th.

No.  You would preorder from the same location as the event right?  The end result would be that your goodies would already be pulled when you get there.  If you do preorder, check your package carefully to make sure what you preordered is in your package.

i want the brushes too, i love the kit it comes in! they are on my must buy list...trying to only get one pearlmatte, but im having a hard time picking which one. guess we need more swatches

I'm wondering if Mall Madness is pretty much the same color as Famously Fab lipglass from Tour de Fabulous last year?

I'd love it if they sold empty jars (for a much lower price of course) so I could transfer mine as well. The "divets" aren't secure at all as I found out after knocking over a pigment that I thought was closed tight. That's why I prefer the threads.

yes, it would be the same store, i used my macys and nordstroms cards on np and other makeup lol. ya, i learned  to always check because last time they forgot one of my l/g.  =)

I'm reading posts from the bottom up--weird but it's late already!  Anyway, you should have received your invitation by now.  I thought you had it, so I'm a bit confused.  You did make an appointment right?  Call ASAP to get this straightened out.  Make sure it's understood that your appointment is for the launch party, and if possible, place your preorder and get the name of the person who does your transaction.  I intend to preorder this weekend even though I'm planning on going to the event--we're having a cold snap--it's currently < 20 degrees & it snowed today.  I would hate to miss the event because of the weather, but if I do my items will be reserved and shipped to me.  

 

Please call---I know you're really excited about the event & the collection, and I really want this to work out for you!!!  

LOL  Under the radar on this one is a good place to be--just duck and cover. Re: "Plus I've splurged like crazy on nail polish" is a huge understatement.  I can't wait to see all of your lovelies--you're my nail polish idol enabler---cough---I meant Idol.  Yes idol.

I never have luck with MAC brush kits. Maybe it's just me, but I find that the travel kits have a different quality to them.

awww that sux.  i hate when that happens! =(  i dont have an ipad but on my iphone it lets me pick one of the pics in my camera roll. I dont see the option to pick one of the other avatars that Specktra has tho. Sorry it messed up !! im interested in what u had to say, but if its too much to write it again its all good =)

well i went on hubs comp and figured it out, still trying to get kn the swing of Apple products as its been many moons since ive used one.
going to hit the hay will report back again cuz tomorrow im going back for a second look!
