MAC Holiday 2012 Glamour Daze / Fabulousness / Guilty Passions Collection Discussion - Page 71

My list is definitely getting shorter just due to other collection coming out later that appeal more to me.. I think I will be definitely getting 2 items.. glamourdaze lipstick and peachy nude eyeshadow.. Innocence and Superb are maybe, and I want more swatches of the blushes!!!

In the UK it should be 1st November.

 

My SA texted me this afternoon.  She's already pulled my items and I'm going to take a little peek at them tomorrow.  I'm actually hoping that I can resist most of the collection and only get a few things (yeah, right! lol!).  I've already dipped into next month's trip budget enough with MM as it is.

a little OT sorry but does anybody know why there is only one shade of mac full coverage foundation (NW25) available on the website and if they will be making any more shades available soon? 

 

in terms of this collection, the only thing that really appeals to me are the EDSF that i let get away the first time! I will be getting both

Gloss Set:  #3 (the one that's the pinks/purples that I have yet to see a list of names for)

Brush Set:  Pink

My store is a pro store and they said they'd have it a week before so... The 18th maybe.

went to pro and my friend said they got like 3-6 items in each color and she wasn't gonna make testers what the heck is happening Mac! so I go to Nordstrom to see if they have testers and the lady said they won't have any until release day...that they aren't allowed to show us early . I'm going to one more Mac store tomorrow and if I get a similar story I ain't getting anything!!!

my Nordstroms said they wouldn't have testers till release day too. Luckily I can go to my MAC store on the 18th and try them out cause they get them out a week early cause they're a pro store.

I stopped by Macys and while they told me they could not put the product out to swatch they let me do it 

 

Anywho, I want some of the glasses but they look to small. Am I tripping? They look half the size of the regular ones.

I am depressed...no longer going. I live in Dekalb so its a bit of a drive, I was going to stay in Evanston with the BF but I would need to be on the highway at 6am to make my 8am work meeting. Its a no go!

Got a call from south center nordstorm SA - Aileen , that the collection will be around 25 Oct. I would like to order WOG that I missed out before.

I have to say I really like her attitude, even if I don't get my stuff at the end (touch wood). 

So far I haven't been disappointed with the orders I placed through her, she always called me about the status. When I was told that my order cancelled by another manager, order originally taken by another SA, she was also there to counter check the status for me , she probably as busy as the others, she still tried to help, which I really appreciate. She also one who helped to check whether my order from ebay was fake or not. Most SA would answer fake (where I at the end find out it is not) or no idea : P

that is the attitude I like.

I make a decision that I wanna be her loyal customer, if I want to place any order, I would always go through her as my 1st choice. 

Strongly recommend her, Aileen to anyone who goes to south center mall

Probably can send a comment to nordstorm about her good attitude?

I'm not really sure what I want from this thing anymore. I haven't stayed in the loop, but I might try to get to the pro store on the 18th. I would have to be there when they open, though b/c I've noticed they've been selling out within the first couple of hours with some collections lately.

I don't know whether to get whisper of gilt or superb skinfinish, any recommendations for nc20??

It's frustrating when there aren't testers, but when stores receive so few product like this, I understand why. In a minimal product availability situation, better to have what could have been testers available for sale instead. Of course, my logic comes from a little selfishness - if I was that sixth person coming in to buy, I would be ecstatic to get what I wanted rather than having to stare lovingly at the testers for a collection that is out of stock.

When I went to my M.A.C counter here, they said :

 

Collection Glamour Daze : november, first week ( on Thursday as usual, maybe the 8th ? )

Sets, pigments and others :  around november, the 15th

I will call them this week and tell you.

 

From swatches I saw previously I think I'm probably gonna go with Whisper of Guilt over Superb.

I was thinking about the sets last night and here are my options:

 

- the duo fibre brush set

- the coral mini blush set (needs more info!) OR the green palette

- the green crush set OR the purple mini glosses

 

I was also browsing the net for some older products and ordered Baby, it's cold & Woodsmoke e/s duo from G&I. I got it for less than the regular duo price here, so it was a deal. Plus, I always wanted to get this duo, but the price for the e/s set is proportionally too much I think (over 70 USD here), just forgot to check it out before yesterday.

 

My list for Glamourdaze is still long  but at least I have some coupons that give me 20% off of 100 Euros .

....this is such a beautiful e/s duo!!!

I am sure that you are going to love it!

 

I did even get a BU because I love it so much....both e/s do have a lovely texture and the colors are gorgeous.

i think those eyeshadow palettes are soooo cute, but the fact that i have at least one shade in each palette already is so disappointing.

i was thinking i'd be better off getting one of the palettes with the powders or blushes since someone said the insert can come out to use as a clutch.  i guess those mini blush ones must be only at the mac stores? i didn't see them in the book when i went to the counter last week....

 

i don't know if this info is already out there, but in the palette with the darker looking powder - it's bronze bronzing powder, and one of the shadows is shadowy lady.  the others i didn't recognize their names, but i'm not sure if they're new (i.e. could have been LE repromotes from some earlier point in time).

Yes,unfortunatly there are several repromotes/perm shades  in these palettes (3 in each one).

 

I noticed this for the first time last year.The palettes from G&I did also include several repromotes/perm shades.

The palettes from previous collections (Tartan Tale,MMM,Red She Said...) had a lot of new shades and maybe only one

repromote/perm shade.

Last year there were a ton too.

I am worried because the Pro store and the counter I buy from both got small quantities again.

So far I think I have it narrowed down to 

 

Whisper of Guilt and/or Superb

Ready to Party

 

Maybes:

 

Beauty - I love my fun finds so I might pick this up as well

Stylish Merry - have to think about this, looks beautiful but I tend to wear more neutrals

A Natural Flirt - have to see if this is dupable

Yes,as I already said,I noticed this "trend" the first time last year.

 

I hope that this is not the "new trend" and that we will see more news shades in palettes in the future (again).

 

OT:I am still so much in love with the palettes from Graphic Garden collection!

Especially the Graphic Garden palette is so beautiful
