Mac-Guy, I was a tad put off by the colors too.  I got the Mineralize set and would have gotten others were it not for the colors.  They just don't fit in with my color scheme...if that makes any sense.

I have the exact same problem!  Already down to 10 items (after deciding to skip all the lipglasses/fluidlines/blushes, i hope i won't regret this in the future but i probably will .. ) but i still think my list is too big .. And the prices in Belgium for this collection  What to do what to do lol ..

   did you get the ones from glitter and ice?? i love those. 

 

Same here about the pouch! I am pleased with how spacious it is too. :)

I was out running errands today and stopped by a nearby Macy's counter to swatch Satin Taupe next to Stolen Moment. I know someone else already posted comparison pics, but I was still curious to do it anyway. On me, they're very different. Satin Taupe is more of a brown taupe and Stolen Moment is more of a gray-purple taupe. I definitely need to get Satin Taupe and I love Stolen Moment.

 

Ignore the last swatch. It's just the Cremesheen+Pearl Pure Zen that I swatched to compare to the Marilyn Pure Zen. The colors were slightly different on my hand, but nothing significant. You can tell it's still the same color.

Who knows where the stolen product is ending up for sure. Ebay, themselves or others. Chanel products/property can go for a pretty penny on the market. I guess they are grabbing the really really limited edition items. Some are employees from other depts. in the store other than those who actually work in the Chanel dept. I know that the store I buy from & heard this, they have their eyes on a person or 2.

I want almost everything from this collection, but I keep bringing myself down to earth, do I really need that ammount of stuff?? So I might even end up with 2 items only.. )) although I did ask my bf if I could spend a little bit more on make up this month due to my birthday... ))

 

Speaking of Pure Zen, can someone tell me if it has the same kind of sheen that High Tea has?? I want a lippie with the exact beautiful sheen and formula as HT, but in a more pinky nude shade. I have a couple of Lustre lippies, but none has that great formula as HT. 

 

I did see those Feminie Edge pictures and they also give me hope. I only plan to use it as a liner. I've been using the 211. I'm not sure if there's a thicker brush to use.

My WOG drama...

I already said how I called yesterday at 10:30 to my Mac counter and asked them to hold a WOG. They said they are not allowed to hold limited edition items (first time they've ever said this). They had 4 and by the time I got there around 4:30, they were gone. I asked the SA if they had any at this other particular store and he said, "No, but you can order one from the Macy's website! but you either have to spend $50 or pay shipping. By the way when I went in there he was sitting on his @$$ Doing a crossword puzzle. I had to approach him to get help. This is the same SA that said he would call me before Styleseeker came out to take an order. Well, he never called! When Marilyn came around, he did call but I was already ticked at him for not calling me before, so I didn't preorder...and I blame him for not getting any Marilyn goodies. I thought I could just get them from the website, but that was a poor plan! I'm over it though!

Anyways, HoneyonBoost is to thank for my getting WOG! She offered to find me one, which put some fire under my butt! I thought I am just going to call that store that the SA said didn't have any because it is close to my mom's house, and I am going to visit her tomorrow. Low and behold...they had one left this morning! I paid for it over the phone, and am picking it up tomorrow.

No thanks to crappy MAC SA! Not sure what I want to do about him at this point...

Now I just hope my goody is really there when I go get it, and not like MACNurse's missing goodies

i picked up glamourdaze and superb. i love glamourdaze and will post a swatch soon. 

Just saying.....while separating my back ups etc I just noticed that Mac 'special' packaging is the same exact glossy material as my Victoria Secret Lipglosses bought over a year ago. They were $12 full price but I am pretty sure that I bought them at discounted prices during a semi annual sale. VS glosses are also very good formula wise.

I LOVE OUTRAGEOUSLY FUN L/S!! I PURCHASED 2 AND I FEEL THERE ARE NO COLORS SIMILAR TO THIS!!

That is awful! I am so afraid to pre-order. I actually tried to pre-order from Dillard's this time around but the girl I normally buy from wasn't there when I called and the girl I spoke with was supposed to leave a message for her with what I wanted and my phone number to call me back. She sounded annoyed when I asked for my regular MUA and since I never received a call back I am pretty sure she didn't even leave her the message. I prefer to stalk the site than take a chance. Glad you got your stuff in the end!!!

 

Oh. Dear. Why did you have to say that, Medgal?! I wasn't paying much attention to the brushes because I decided to try to get them later at a CCO. It didn't occur to me that the Mineralize set matches perfectly with the travel bag. I was supposed to be finished with this collection. But now that brush set is calling me. Nooooo!

 

Tell me, can you fit full size brushes into the pouch?

Skip Mystery. It is gorgeous on my hand but when I wore it yesterday it just looked like a dark liner. I also skipped Glamourdaze (it's hard, trust me) but I am waiting for Hot Chocolate from Apres Chic.

I bought this jacket today at Kohl's because It reminds me of Glamourdaze! So excited to wear it with my new goodies. I bought a sequined tshirt for underneath...



I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but it is mint green with some gold fibers woven in!

I got it. Mine is very smooth and easy to control. It's gorgeous. I think I want another. Your bottle must be bad. I would exchange it.

I'm in love with Beauty lipstick. With a light application it turns a beautiful pale pinky lavender on my pigmented lips. I did lots of swatching, but that's all I hauled from this collection today. I'm glad I grabbed a b/u.

 

 

Yes, easily! The brush pouch is quite long. :) Much bigger than I thought it would be.

I'm sorry I am not replying to all of you individually but I'm going to try and reply to all of you on this one. Soooo I went to the other counter and I was able get both Superb and WoG. I know the manager at that counter and when I told her what happened she said that of course what happened was completely unacceptable but that it unfortunately it happens, which I definitely understand that its not easy to control everyone. I am over the situation but MAC and your limited edition BS.

 

Anyways I am in love with Glamourdaze l/s is sooooooo pretty!! And dramatic encounter is gorgeous as well.

Oh, I love looking @ everyone's goodies! So many pretty colors!

 

I just picked up Superb EDS and I love it!

I now have both, Superb & WoG.

 

I was surprised it was still @ local MAC store since WoG sold out during the pre-launch.

I am SO sorry this happened to you!!! The NERVE of some people! I'm happy you were able to get you items after the fact, though! 

The same thing happened to me during the second release of Stereo Rose at my "favorite" (I use that term loosely, now...) Nordstrom counter. I preordered Stereo Rose, and had it set aside for me to pick up the day after the release. Some how, a MA got into my preorder bag, sold MY Stereo Rose away, and I was left with nothing but a refund. I was never able to get Stereo Rose because it sold out everywhere on the first day...
