So I got to snatch Beauty at Nordstrom this evening. It was the last one! I quickly tried it on me (without Lip Erase or lip pencil) and it looks too light on me.. I'm a bit bummed because it is a beautiful light pink. Anyone else have any recommendations how to make this color work? I have NC 30-35 complexion. Thanks!
Sometimes I use mine with a dab of Bait lipglass, if you have that or another similar color...or maybe a lipglass that is slightly darker pink than those.

Popping in to say all I ended up with from this collection was Small Vanity. Haven't tried it yet as I don't feel like wearing any makeup at the moment. I'm not feeling well, I have horrible toothache, or rather it's my jaw and whole side of my face which are hurting terribly. Ughh. Went to the dentist twice, but it's only getting worse. They don't seem to know what's going on. I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled, but I don't think that's what's causing that much pain. Having another appointment on Tuesday, wish me luck everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. Don't really feel like posting much ATM.
Nadine it could be your sinuses. Sometimes sinus pain and pressure can feel like a toothache because the sinus cavities are near your upper teeth. If it's your upper jaw I would have an Otolaryngologist check you for sinus issues before having teeth pulled. It's a semi-common error.

Happy Birthday glamqueen! Hope its amazing
I hope everyone is safe from that terrible hurricane. Naynadine I'm sorry you are in pain hon. Hope they find out what's wrong.
I'm glad people are able to pull off Beauty. I've really tried to make it work. Its just not flattering at all on me! Still a patchy, uneven, looks like I ate a powdered donut look. I never thought a lippy would be too pale for me. And its so strange that it being a glaze doesnt help. Usually they are one of my fav lip formulas. I'll just stick to my hg Restrict.
I lovvve ready to party! I wore it over tundra (silver) shadestick, moth brown on the crease/outer V, and Ash Violet f/l. Loved it!!!
I might have to back it up. Maybe throw A natural flirt in there hehe.Edited by singer82 - 11/3/12 at 11:49pm

Is it at all possible to access the MAC section on the site of that shop? I just tried it and just got error messages.
I decided not to stalk the site this time - I still have a hangover or something like that from the horrible experience with By Request (just kidding, lol - or not!). If you still need anything, pm me - I've three counters in my city and would try to help you find the items you want.
Ah thank you but no I'm kinda over the collection now :) at least I got Small Vanity which I really wanted and WoG. And so many people like it so I hope it's gonna look nice on my skin, too :)

Thank you.
I know I wanted so much from GD, kinda embarassing that I just got one blush after all. Everything looks great, but I got really annoyed with the increased prices (we just had another increase 2 days ago) and couldn't get myself to buy the EDES. I'm happy with just the blush. I also ordered Mehr l/s and Charcoal Brown e/s. And finally splurged on the NARS e/s base. I think I'll buy less MAC in the future, the prices are getting ridiculous. Considering I only got 2 itmes from MM and just one from GD, I'm doing pretty good I guess. Trying not to buy anythig until Apres Chic now.
Oh I love the Nars eyeshadow base :) It's the best especially for oily lids ;)

I picked up my items yesterday. I got the kohl power pencils in Orpheus, Raven and Mystery (they had amazing payoff!) I also got Everything that Glitters polish and the EDES in RTP, Stolen Moment, TDH and ANT. I thought ANF would be like Naked Lunch or something, but it's really not. It has a noticeable pink sheen which looked super pretty! I called my counter about 10 minutes ago to put Stylishly Merry and RM on hold. I couldn't get them out of my head. I was really impressed with the pigmentation and smooth texture of the shadows (I didn't get them the first round). I expected to love DB as well, but I'm still not so sure about it.
I had an appointment yesterday to get my makeup done that that was one of the reasons I decided to add Stylishly Merry and RM to my haul. Unfortunately it rained pretty bad when I went home on my bicycle so I don't have pictures of the makeup the MUA did. I loved the eyelook she did and I also liked that she used RTP EDES as a highlight on my cheeks, because the effect was really nice. The eyelook she did was FE fluidline on my lids as a base then RTP over it (I will use Let's Skate paint pot as a base myself), she used Stolen Moment on the inner and outer corners of my eye and it gave a really nice dimensional look to my eyes. In the crease she put RM and blended it with Stylishly Merry and RTP. ANF was used as a highlight. She then lined my upper lash line with feline and smudged it. On my lower lash line she applied Mystery and smudged it with DB EDES.
The eyelook was super nice and I loved the contrast between the pinky colours on the upper lid and the blue/green colours on the lower lash line.
On my cheeks she applied Easy Manner or Small Vanity I can't remember exactly and she first highlighted with RTP EDES and then put WOG over it.
For lips she first did a combination of Beet l/l only to line and then blended it, then Innoscence l/s and topped it off with Pink Fade l/g. It was a pretty and interesting combination, but I didn't care for it in combination with the eye personally so she took it off and just did IS l/g. I liked the IS l/g a lot, but I don't want to buy more lipgloss right now. I really liked how she listened to me during the appointment, but of course I have known her for quite some time. She is also the manager from that specific counter. We also have a new girl at the counter, well she's not really new, but first she only worked there as a freelancer I believe and now she works there full time I think and I'm so glad they chose her to join the team! She also complimented on the makeup that was done and said it looked really good on me. There was also a third girl working that I knew and she like the makeup too. She also informed me during the appointment when they had only one ANF left and asked if I wanted it and of course I had to have it:p

Wow....that sounds great!
I plan on using RTP and SM EDES as highlighters on my cheeks too!
Some of the EDES are really lovely highlighters.I have been using Young Venus and Blue Orbit a lot on my cheeks.
I`d say that I use YV more on my cheeks than on my lids!
Enjoy your goodies Pinkdollface

Thanks I'm definitely enjoying them! The texture of the EDES makes them nice to use as highlighters. You can easily apply them sheer and still have them blend well.
I have some pics of the look I did today. ANF on my lids, Stolen Moment in the crease, TDH to darken the outer v, Blanc Type as a highlight, Feline to line the upper lash line and Orpheus to line the lower lash line.
I'm trying to kill my lemming for WOG and IS l/g and therefore I used Too Chic b/p as a highlight and Bubble Lounge lipgelee on my lips. Also I used Legendary as a blush.
I was never really into using pencils to line my eyes, but thanks to the MUA that did my makeup I want to do that more often.

Sounds great! Have you tried ETG nail polish? I would like to know if it is crappy quality or not. It is one of the items I really do want to gave from GD. Some people say it is crap and BL's version is better, some say it is the other way around. I might pick up ETG tomorrow...

I hope the fellow East-coasters are doing okay

Happy birthday GlamQueen
My haul: Feminine edge, Superb, WoG, Raven, Mystery and DE. I had pre-ordered everything at Macys but somehow when I picked up my stuff they gave me Superb, OF and FE
(that was my actual facial expression). The lady was nice enough to order the rest of the stuff for me. Had to get DE on the MAC website...I was able to control myself and only bought 1 more thing lol (nightmoth liner, which was sold out by my school)

First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE!!
I thought I was done but picked up a few more pieces today. Now I am done and quite pleased. Today I got:
Round Midnight EDS
Stolen Moment EDS (my first taupe)
Outrageous Fun l/s
Dramatic Encounter l/s
That joins my haul of:
the travel bag
Divine Desire Paramour Pink kit
Merry to Shop EDS
A Natural Flirt EDS
Beauty l/s
Impossibly Sweet l/g
Feminine Edge f/l
Catch My Eye f/l
Raven e/k
This week I will pick up my preorder of the Sweetly Smoked pigment set and the Lavish Rose lipgloss set and then (other than a couple of thing from the Strength collection) I am done for awhile. I may have reached MAC saturation level.
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!!

I have not tried it yet. I painted my nails friday evening with The Spy Who Loved Me and The Man With The Golden Gun by OPI and I don't want to take it off untill it starts to look bad. I can't waste real 18 karat gold of course:p
